Papa John’s Pizza

I ordered online for delivery on a rainy Thursday night right around prime dinner time. I was expecting it to take 40 min but it actually was very quick! To my door in less than 20 minutes. That was definitely a pleasant surprise.
The pizza itself was as expected. I got a large sausage and green pepper pizza which was tasty! I love that they put a lot of tomato sauce on it and it was piping hot with melty cheese when it got to my house! I am not a fan of their crust though. I didn’t really want to eat any of it as it was dry and unflavorful. Also, it was $ 17! What in the world! That is so expensive! I was in a hungry rush to order online so I didn’t even think of searching for a coupon. This was a total mistake since it was so expensive. Also since I didn’t call, I couldn’t really learn about all of their deals.
I also got a large cheeseburger pizza since there was a special where the large for this type was only $ 10. I really liked it but it ended up being a little too heavy I realized. It was literally cheeseburger toppings/​meat in pizza form! Really interesting but I’m not too sure that I’d order it again.

We placed a «plan ahead» order 6 hours ahead of time. 45 minutes after the scheduled delivery time the pizza still hadn’t arrived and we had somewhere else to be. We called to cancel the order but they hung up on us.
This is the third time in a row we’ve had a «plan ahead» experience like this. We don’t like Dominos pizza as much, but at least they’re reliable and don’t treat us poorly.

Whenever we order pizza, we order Papa John’s, not because it’s very good, but because it’s convenient.
The service is a hit or miss. We’ve had great service, and we’ve had terrible service.
Order online — super easy to use, and lets you customize the pizza.
One time, we ordered a vegetarian pizza, and we found sausage on it. When we complained on the website, we did get a response, but it was a PR response and it didn’t seem apologetic.
Not the best pizza, but it’s tolerable for the convenience it offers. Look for the specials online; often there are good deals. The large cookie is amazing, and will sometimes come free with two medium pizzas.

Great pizza and service, loved it. Always happy ordering from this location. Every Time is a great experience from this Herndon location.

On a Saturday night we ordered 3 large pizzas for my son’s slumber party and we were told it was 1 hour for delivery. After well over a hour we tried calling to check on the order and the # was busy. The busy signal remained for 2 hours. We never got the pizza, never got a phone call back and they charged me the $ 37 for 3 pizzas. They only reimbursed the amount when I went in 3 days later to complain. The worst service ever. The Better Business Bureau received a complaint for charging and never delivering.

We always have a great experience with this location. The pizza is ready for pick up within 20 minutes.

Best pizza! Love it! They delivered the pizza one time to our neighbor (who took & paid the pizza) we called them and we got a new one for free. I’m very patient, that whole procedure took them 2 hours. But it’s the best pizza I have to say. :-)

Okay, besides the facts that their pizza tastes terrible and their employee practices are repulsive (see how Papa John’s CEO cut workers’ hours to avoid paying for Obamacare for full-​time employees:
), the following story describes why I will NEVER order any Papa John’s pizza again:
So, my son is a fan of Papa John’s. I get it, he’s five, he’s never had amazing pizza (yet!). So my husband orders online and gets confirmation that the pizza will be delivered by 6:15. Time goes by, 6:15 comes and goes. It’s 6:30 so my husband calls this location. He was told that the driver left 10 – 15 minutes ago and had other stops. Fine. 6:40 rolls around so he calls again. Now he’s told that the order never left! We were refunded our money, the food finally came (about an hour later than expected.
Then we decided to call the customer service line about the horrendous job they did with our order. The VP of Customer Service for the area calls and leaves a message with his cell phone number. However, the story he receives from the store is COMPLETELY different from what actually happened. We’ve tried calling back the VP only to get his voicemail.
So, VP of Customer Service for the DC Metro Area, if you’re out there reading this right now, we would love to tell you what really happened. No, we did not order once in the morning and once that same evening. We rarely, if ever, order Papa John’s in the first place. Now you can expect that rarely to become a never in a million years.

Sorry to report that this store no longer cares about delivering quality products to their long time customers. I got a pizza that was totally inedible, way too much spices and I like hot food. Adding insult to injury, after I contacted the customer service at the corporate office they say that the local office will call to resolve issues — you get crickets. IF you were corporate wouldn’t you manage the reply?
Please tell your friends to try elsewhere for a good pie until this store gets things sorted out. There are other shops that will give you a good product and, when they don’t, they follow up to see how they can do better (think Dominos).

FIRST let me say I’ve been ordering pizza online for many many years and I have to honestly say this is the first bad experience that I’ve had with an online order.
The internet order was for Papa John’s Pizza.
I placed the order and realize I had not click the delivery button so there is no way to go back in so I called the location and was informed that my order would be deliveried out shortly what I got was not what I ordered I had waited so long and I was so disappointed I made the call and let them know how I felt but I will never ever order from Papa Johns again. SMH! :(

I love the on-​line ordering and great delivery that Papa John’s offers. It is always delivered in a timely fashion and the drivers are uniformly polite and cheerful.
I love how they allow you to customize sauce and cheese levels and doneness of dough!
The pizza is good (sure there are fancier and better pizzas out there — but this is just fine). .
I think for the ease of ordering and the quality of product — and the price point — this is my go to delivery pizza.

The John Milton Dr. Papa Johns is our go-​to pizza place, and they’ve worked well for us. We switch between pick-​up and delivery and both in-​store and to-​the-​door employees are always been courteous and on-​point. They’ve dealt with many crazy orders from us and our attempts to appease picky eaters, and the only thing they’ve ever messed up on was the number of extra sauces on the side. They also, unlike other pizza delivery places we’ve tried, always arrive within the estimated delivery times.

Read Unilocal but never been motivated to write a review until today. Had a coupon card for a Free Large Pizza. Don’t really ever order Papa John’s, so I hop online to see what’s on the menu. I submit my order, show up, hand over the card, and they hand over the pizza. Then the guy starts berating me for ordering online but using a coupon. «You can’t order online and use a coupon. You have to call us. You can’t use that; you have to call us.» Uh, okay, dude. Why hand me the pizza and then tell me I can’t have it?
Better ingredients, terrible service. Papa John’s!
