The moment I entered the boutique I knew we were at the right place that would take care of our wedding needs. It such a beautiful boutique in old town Herndon.
We had a small wedding and only needed dresses for the Best Woman and 2 flower girls. The process was great from the beginning as we selected the dresses to the end and adjustments were made. How incredibly gorgeous and beautiful these dresses were. The flower girls were amazing and the Best Woman was certainly a conversation for the evening. Soliloquy made adjustment to the sash of the flower girl dresses which was to die for. Also minor enhancements to what was already an incredible dress for the Best Woman made it a show stopper. Picture do not even do them justice. It was a fall wedding and these precious garments fit in with the season in such a stylish way.
Miriam and team took such good care of us so well and were so professional.

What a wonderful experience! Was instantly welcomed by Miriam who GOT ME. I’ve been a very difficult customer as far as wedding dresses but she picked out the ones I would have picked and then talked about how we could alter it to make it more me. The gown I liked was very moderately priced, around 1k. Was also very nice to receive two handwritten notes thanking me for coming in and to see if I needed any more assistance.
Parking was easy and I’d definitely return!

This is a top notch bridal salon! They carry a nicely curated selection of the top brands. I dropped by this summer during my search for the perfect veil. The salon itself is very charming. The staff is quite friendly and welcoming. The attendant assisting me with my search was a joy to work with and helped me narrow my selections from so many beautiful options. I could not have been happier with my choice! My friends and family raved about the beauty and craftsmanship of the veil and it photographed amazingly. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for quality bridal wear coupled with excellent service.

While I did not purchase my wedding dress at this shop, I did choose them for alterations on my wedding gown. I had such a wonderful experience at the shop for bridesmaid dress shopping that I knew they would do a great job. Miriam and her staff are very friendly, warm, and professional. My tailor did an amazing job over the past few months throughout my dress fittings. I could not have asked for a better experience and would recommend them for sure!

I found my dream dress, it was perfectly altered, all of my accessories were gorgeous, and when my veil came in at the wrong length, they fixed it and made it perfect quickly and without any problems. i would highly recommend this salon to any bride-​to-​be. Miriam and all of the Soliloquy staff are wonderful, helpful, beautiful women! I came to my first appointment in October 2014 to find a dress for my June 2015 wedding and, after many failed trips to other bridal salons in northern VA area, I almost didn’t make an appointment at Soliloquy. I am so glad I did! Not only did I have a blast but I found the dress of my dreams in the first dress I tried on in the store. I came during an Angel Rivera trunk show and got to meet the designer! Everyone is so knowledgable and can get a sense of you style by talking to you. I have been back for fittings and purchased a belt as well. Everything is high quality and you can tell that they love what they do. They help resolve any possible problems and it’s nice to have them on your side to make your day special. Every time I’ve come in I’ve always been greeted with a smile and a mango lemonade. I’m really going to miss my fitting appointments so I’ll have to find an excuse to stop in!

I am apparently a difficult bride, even though I never meant to be. I went to six separate bridal appointments, including two in Colorado, and tried on several dozen dresses before finally ordering my dress from Soliloquy.
My consultant, Lana, deserves a medal. Seriously. She cheerfully helped me through both of my appointments at Soliloquy, and never rushed me even though I went over my scheduled time on both occasions. She also fielded countless e-​mails from me in the five months between my two trials. She was unfailing happy, upbeat, and positive throughout my entire dress shopping saga. She is far and away the very best consultant I worked with across 9 long months of dress shopping.
I visited Soliloquy near the beginning of my dress shopping experience and again at the end, when I ended up finding and ordering my gown. It is the perfect store to try on different silhouettes and fabrics to get an idea of your style, as I did at my first appointment. And they host lots of designer trunk shows, which is how I ended up (finally!) finding my perfect gown.
Not only do they break out the champagne when you place your order, but Lana also sent me a handwritten note to congratulate me on my purchase!
One little note that I wasn’t prepared for… you must pay for your dress in full, up front, on the day you order. I wasn’t expecting that, and needed an extra gulp of the celebratory champagne before handing over my credit card. But it is so worthwhile… I would rather give my money to Soliloquy than any of the other local salons I visited. I just wish I had known this going in, as it was a bit of a shock and put a (momentary) damper on the happy event of finally finding my gown. So keep this in the back of your mind!
Also, you are not allowed to take photos of the dresses during your trial — this is the designer’s policy, not necessarily the salon’s. Miriam did take photos of me in both gowns and let me look at them so I could get a sense of how they photographed. And once I placed my order, they were happy to let my girls take as many photos as they wanted! I’m so glad I have those images to look back on as I wait for my dress to come in!
Bottom line: Soliloquy is the place to buy your wedding gown. It is a beautiful, clean, well maintained spaced that is staffed by the very best in the business. I had the most fun at my Soliloquy appointments and feel amazingly confident in my choice thanks to Miriam and Lana’s wonderful input; I truly believe that I would still be agonizing over dresses if not for those two ladies!

I contacted Miriam from San Jose, CA to schedule my daughter’s wedding dress alterations. Because of our timeline, we had to get all 3 fittings done in one week. Miriam was prompt in answering my email, scheduled the fittings and was absolutely charming an! d helpful when we arrived. The shop is just lovely and so were all the people who helped us. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The alterations prices were standard for the industry. Many thanks to Miriam and her staff at Soliloquy!

I had a horrible experience and very poor customer service at Soliloquy Bridal. I purchased my dress from Soliloquy in May of 2014 for my wedding in May 2015. I worked with Lindsey and when I tried on the dress I ended up buying, I was happy with the overall style of the dress but was concerned about the fit around my hip/​waist area. There was a lot of bunching of the fabric and I expressed this concern to Lindsey as I was unsure I wanted to purchase. Lindsey told me that because the dress was in such a large size, the fit was not going to be perfect, but that when I purchased in my size and received alterations that the dress would «fit like a glove» and that that the bunching of the fabric that I was concerned about would not be an issue.
The dress was scheduled to arrive in November 2014 but when I called in November to confirm its arrival, their sales consultant told me that they changed their policy over the summer so as not to have dresses waiting in their shop for too long before the wedding date. They said they were supposed to communicate with me that it was going to now be arriving in January but never did. Regardless, now my timeline was shortened.
At my first fitting in February, I was very disappointed in the fit of the dress as the bunching of the fabric in the hip/​waist area was still an issue. I expressed my concern to the tailor and she explained that the dress could not be fitted too tight to me or else I would not be able to sit. I communicated that when I bought the dress Lindsey told me that the bunching of the fabric would not be an issue. Had I known that it was not possible, I would’ve never purchased this dress. Miriam asked that I allow them to do alterations and then re-​asses when I returned for my second fitting.
I came back at the end of February to try on again and had the same issue with bunching. When I communicated that Lindsey assured it would fit in a way that was clearly not possible, Lindsey denied ever saying this and said «as the manager, I would never tell someone that a dress is going to fit in a way that it cannot». She continued to be argumentative, pretended as though she did not see the bunching, and was generally very unprofessional and rude towards me. Not the type of customer service you would expect for such an important part of your wedding that has such a high price tag.
I was clearly upset as I was now 3 months away from my wedding and have a great deal of money and time invested in a dress that does not look or fit as promised. After a long back and forth, Miriam asked that I consider trying another dress and they would cover the cost of this new dress should I want to continue to work with them.
I later communicated to Miriam that while I appreciated the offer, I would prefer to head in a different direction for my dress as I did not feel comfortable working with them due to the unpleasant exchange I had. How could I trust them again, especially with a timeframe that left no room for error? I asked that they refund my money for the dress so that I could afford to purchase a new one at another store. She refused to refund my money and also refused to accept responsibility or any blame for the fit of the dress (at least via email — don’t want to leave a paper trail). I said I did not understand what the difference would be between them purchasing me a new dress versus refunding the money for the dress I had already purchased, as it is all money lost. She said she offered that to me «in a moment of compassion» but was still unwilling to provide me with a refund.
Needless to say, I would definitely not recommend using Soliloquy Bridal as they have very poor customer service and will say anything just to make a sale or to save face. It appears that when everything with the dress turns out beautifully, they are perfectly fine to work with as shown by the many other reviews you see here. However, when something goes wrong, they are unresponsive to concerns and unwilling to accept responsibility or take accountability for their wrong-​doing.

I didn’t end up getting my dress from here, but I had such a great experience that they deserve a 5 star review! I was in the area and my mom happened to be in town so we were very last minute in scheduling an appointment and just stopped by. They were so gracious and squeezed us in (though I’m sure they don’t recommend this fyi). Lindsey took care of me. She could see my vision right away after a short conversation and I felt like she had known me for years and knew what I was looking for. It’s unfortunate I found my dress somewhere else because I would have loved to continue working with them. The store is really nice and they made me feel right at home. Great customer service. I highly recommend going here. Ask for Lindsey!

My first thought when I had an appointment at Soliloquy was: «a bridal salon in… Herndon??» Wow, am I so glad I came here! My first appointment for dress shopping earlier in the day was a place over in Georgetown which is apparently supposed to be one of the best in DC. I was less than impressed. Coming to Soliloquy after that first appointment, I was hopeful I would find my dress, but wasn’t super optimistic.
Parking is in a free lot right next to the salon. The layout of Soliloquy is great. You come into a nice reception area with a view overlooking the salon floor. There is an elevator lift available for those who can’t navigate stairs. The floor was spacious, bright, with each bridal pedestal on opposite sides separated by 3 full length mirrors so you couldn’t see the other person. (The previous place in Georgetown where I tried on gowns, I was 4 feet away from another girl, which was super awkward.)
There happened to be an Angel Rivera trunk show that day, which was so awesome to meet the designer in person. The staff at Soliloquy were all super nice, and a pleasure to work with. I tried on a few of his designs and found «the dress.» As soon as I put it on, I was like, yep, this is it! Angel said he doesn’t even have pictures online yet of «my» dress, so I truly felt lucky to have come here while he was there! If you can go to a salon during a trunk show where a designer is there, that really is an awesome experience. Angel showed me exactly how it would look with the alterations needed and even took my measurements. All the ladies at Soliloquy came to see the dress I picked out, and were just so excited for me!
I had a great experience here, and even if you live out in DC… it is sooo worth the drive out to Herndon to come to Soliloquy!

I went to several local boutiques as well as Nordstrom. This beautiful boutique was like no other– the selection of designers, variety of price points, but most importantly the amazing staff. I had the fortune of working with Miriam, the shop’s owner. She actually selected the dresses for me to try on based on my style and body type. She pulled dresses I would never have selected on my own. I fell in love with not one but TWO dresses. After literally trying them each on 15 times, Miriam patiently helped me decide on the one! I bought my dress a week before I moved to Japan. She worked with me all the way from Japan to ship it to a location in CA where my wedding will be. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, so dress shopping should be fun and enjoyable. Soliloquy and Miriam will be sure to do that for you… and the champagne doesn’t hurt!

My consultant, Lana was very sweet, but not assertive. The shop has a lot of pretty dresses, and this is the shop to stop by to check out the dresses, for sure.

If you are a bride in need of a beautiful designer dress, this should be your number 1 stop!
I went to Soliloquy Bridal to start my dress shopping. It was a wonderful experience, they really spoil you over other bridal boutiques! The staff is very friendly and prove customer service is their priority. Other boutiques should take a page out of their book!
I was working with Vanessa for my appointment. I felt like she really heard what I said about my likes and dislikes. She suggested some dresses I normally wouldn’t want to try but they fit more beautifully than I ever imagined. She even followed up with a handwritten thank you note. Such a nice touch.
They were having a trunk show for Angel Rivera that weekend. I didn’t set up the appointment specifically for the trunk show but I am glad I happened to go at that time because THE dress turned out to be an Angel Rivera. Unfortunately, the dress was outside of my budget but I really wish I could have bought it!

I wish I could give Soliloquy Bridal more than five stars! From dress selection to communication to customer service, this is the best bridal shop I’ve ever been to (and I went to dozens to find my dress, so trust me).
The staff are not pushy with trying to get you to buy a dress on the spot (like many bridal shops are) and don’t try to up-​sell you. They are honest, sweet, great listeners, and will make sure you have the perfect dress for your wedding.
They were incredibly flexible with trying to find an appointment my out-​of-​town mother could make, and everything was on time and high quality.
They also have regular trunk sales. Upcoming ones are on their website, but if you are in love with a particular designer, call the shop and ask if they might be coming soon. I got my dress with a great discount that way.

I barely write reviews, but after this whole wedding dress shopping experience, I really feel like I need to do my part and pay respect to the people out there that were really helpful.
I went to bridal boutiques in NYC, LA, Orange County, and throughout the DC metropolitan area. I probably tried on 75 dresses or more (I’m pretty picky). Some places really stood out from the rest because they either had exceptional customer service or terrible customer service. Hannelore’s in Old Town, Alexandria was the worst, by far.
One of the best experiences I had was at Soliloquy, and I believe it had a lot to do with Lindsay. I went there three times and each time she was extremely patient, funny, and easy to talk to. The shop has a great selection and not all of the dresses are expensive. There’s a wide range of prices overall.
I didn’t end up getting my dress from here, but man did I want to!

This is THE bridal experience. Beautiful store, amazing staff, cute little tiny desserts to munch on while you try on super fancy wedding dresses.
Sadly I did not end up purchasing my dress here, but I would recommend Soliloquy in a heartbeat. They even followed up via handwritten note and an email to thank me for coming in! yeeeee

I wish I bought my dress here but I ended up with a Watters dress that few stores carry. Nonetheless this store is perfect! I am in love with the owner. She really understands brides and what they are looking for; she is kind, a good listener, has a great eye for style, and very intuitive.
Also, convenient location and parking was easy.
Bridesmaids dresses are unique with a better selection than any other store I’ve been to.

Although I didn’t end up finding my dress at Soliloquy, I still had a wonderful experience shopping there.
The salon itself is very pretty and the owner Miriam was delightful and extremely accommodating. Soliloquy does have some beautiful dresses, so I would definitely recommend checking them out during your search.

I could not be happier with Soliloquy Bridal Couture.
My dream wedding dress was a Sarah 7 dress, and Soliloquy was the only place on the East Cost other than NYC that carries her dresses. I love that you can make a reservation online, and they always call you to confirm in advance. When I went, I brought three girlfriends, and we were the only ones in the store. The girls sat on plush couches and were treated to cookies and beverages, and they already had all the Sarah 7 dresses pulled for me.
I wanted the Elope dress, which they didn’t have, but they pulled dresses that were cut very similarly so I could see how they looked. When I decided to order the Elope anyway, they immediately contacted Sarah to see if they could get the dress in time for my August wedding. They also pulled a great birdcage and flower clips for me, which fit the style of the dress perfectly.
When I went home after that first trip, I read some scary Sarah 7 reviews about none of her dresses arriving on time. I immediately called Soliloquy to express my concern, and they assured me that it was their job to make sure it arrived, even if it meant flying out to Portland to get it. They were absolutely right and the dress actually arrived a few days earlier than expected.
I tried on the dress a few days ago and it was perfect. Miriam allowed me to come with my mother and sister on a Sunday even though they aren’t typically open then, since they both wanted to see the dress before the wedding. She then offered to help my Mom find a dress, which relieved a huge amount of stress for us! We left feeling so happy and accomplished.
I am thrilled and would recommend Soliloquy to anyone, especially if you are looking for designers that are tougher to find!
