I wish you could give zero stars. Rude service each time I’ve been there. This guy has no idea how to run a business and the customer service is TERRIBLE. The owner yammers on while $ just walk out the door. There are PLENTY of other great stringers within 5 miles that will do what YOU want and better deals and selection on shoes and rackets elsewhere too. Save yourself the aggravation.

Update to 9 month old review: TennisServ continues to exceed expectations. From competitively priced, premier, expert stringing, to demos, to gear – it’s the «go-​to» spot. This place never disappoints nor embarrasses me when I recommend it to colleagues and friends. People overwhelming say that this spot is top notch and very knowledgeable. Justin and his assistant are super, hard working individuals with integrity. If you share my values, reward them with your business. This is how the free market is supposed to work, people! :-) Plus, you will be helping to support a local community member, paying taxes back into your local economy and building a relationship with a person you can see face to face! Skip the greedy corporations and robots. Shop local!

Justin is incredibly knowledgeable — he explained pros and cons of different kinds of strings and helped me choose the right strings. No pressure tactics — real friendly local tennis pro.
When I broke strings on all my 3 rackets, he even offered a demo racket for free, and then offered to string one racket by end of the day; when I went back to collect at 5 pm, he had them all ready!

Can’t talk more highly about the quality of service at this place. I am living in Maryland and working in DC, and I did not find yet a better place to string my rackets and get professional advise in any tennis related subjects. Glad to find a such professional and reliable place.

Justin is incredibly knowledgable. I went in there with a serious case of tennis elbow. I was using a string that helped my game but apparently was crushing my elbow. After explaining my game and experience to him he came up with a hybrid idea that I went with. After some good stretching and a week of rest I hit the courts with my new string. I’ve been playing great ever since and with no elbow pain. Justin said we might have to experiment for a while till we found the right stuff for me but no chance I’m changing now. He nailed it on the first try. This guy knows his stuff folks. Give him your business. Keep it local and get quality service at the same time!

Finally a full service tennis shop in northern VA with an owner who really cares about customer service. Don’t know what Other counters saw but I was treated to information, quality and service unlike any other tennis store. If you need any tennis gear — see Justin. You will be glad you did

I’m an avid Tennis player, and can say with confidence that Tennis Serv is a top flight store. Justin, the owner, knows what he is doing. He gives good advice on equipment, and provides quick turnaround on a very competent string job.
Justin once convinced me out of buying a more expensive raquet because and let me demo a cheaper raquet (Wilson Surge) that I eventually bought. Five Stars!

I again went to TennisServ and found it the best place to go. It has all the right stuff for people who love tennis and are looking to improve their game. Justin was patient and knowledgable about everything. Every shoe, every piece of equipment and article of clothing. He worked with me to find even better shoes than the ones I own (which had seen their day). Today, I took some great racquets home to demo based on Justin’s great knowledge and the different aspects of each that could support and improve my game. Did I say there was a top there I could not live without. Inspiring! Thank you! I will return…
