I saw Heather 2 years ago for a Brazilian as she was referred by a friend. She was nice and friendly but the best thing was, her clinic is very clean and hygienic. It was my first time but she was really good and finished quickly so my suffering wasn’t too bad. Every other place looked filthy to me after my visit at Heather’s clinic. I’m only gonna go back there from now on.
Tip: don’t ever go to Aislinn in Fairfax!!! Horrible! It was torture!!!

If I could give her 100 more stars I would! Heather is AMAZING! I came to her last year after having a nightmare experience with a groupon waxing! She made me feel so comfortable and insured me that this time around it would be different! And sure enough it was! I’ve been going to her ever since and have recommended my sister and friend who now are just as obsessed with heather as I am! Prices are very affordable and she’s very flexible with scheduling! Let me just say this one more time… I LOVE HEATHER!

Heather is amazing! I have been looking a good place to get a Brazilian in this area and I think I found the one. Heather made me feel really comfortable and even made suggestions for after care which I can really appreciate. The location is very cozy and clean, it feels like home. I will be returning!

I’ve visited Heather for several facials in the past couple of years, and although my experience with facials elsewhere is limited, I can’t imagine it can get any better!
Getting there — Booking online is a breeze, and she has some appointments in the evenings (but they fill up fast!). Her office is in an upper floor room of a really cool old historic home that has been converted into office space. It is easy to find (near the intersection of Herndon Parkway and Grant) and there is ample parking. She used to be in a smaller room right next to where she is now — her current space is beautiful and spacious with gorgeous wood trim and a little office in a side room. She has done a lovely job decorating it and creating a serene atmosphere with soothing colors and music.
Being there — The facial is very relaxing and she throws in some «extras» that I don’t think are typical like a neck/​leg/​foot massage and warming booties. Last time she trimmed my eyebrows also — not sure if that is now a part of the service or if she just noticed I needed it! I notice a big difference in the quality of my skin for weeks afterward, especially related to blackheads. My favorite part is that she is able to eradicate millia (little white bumps caused by dead skin accumulation) — I get maybe 10 – 12 a year and hate them, and a lot of facialists won’t treat them because it requires piercing the skin slightly. If not removed, they can accumulate for YEARS and become quite large. Heather is amazing with these, she even got rid of a tricky one over my eye recently! She also makes paying/​tipping easy through a tablet app — you have the option to add the tip to your credit card which isn’t always an option elsewhere.
Other notes — I am not into waxing, but that is what she is famous for (especially bikini area). I have talked to her about it quite a bit and I see why! She takes it very seriously and has done extensive training and research to make it as painless an experience as possible (she says she developed a passion for this after having an unpleasant waxing experience herself). She clearly takes her business and clients very seriously and really seems to enjoy the work and have a lot of pride in doing the best job she can. I highly recommend, especially for facials and waxing!

Heather is the best, though I could be biased since she’s the only one I’ve ever been to!
I followed her from where she used to work, and she now has her own business. Voda Spa is nicely decorated and a relaxing place to be, tucked away in a Herndon community.
She’s super friendly and its easy to relax when working with her. She remembers a lot of the things I tell her even though I’m only there every 5 weeks or so!
I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to have any sort of waxing done!

Voda is an amazing experience. Heather did my first bikini wax a couple of years ago, and when I heard she had opened her own spa, I had to book a session with her. She is amazing, laid back and truly represents a delightful spa experience.

Heather is fantastic! I had my first Brazilian wax here one year ago and I still do every 1 – 2 month. The studio is cozy and clean. Heather is so friendly and professional. She took the hairs quickly and calm the skin immediately so I don’t even feel pain. She is the best!

Love the ambiance of this small business. Thanks to a Specialious advertising and coupon, I discovered this quaint little business. Heather, the owner, was fantastic. She was professional and understanding. She explained the process of the ‘spray tan’, and gave simple instructions on how it worked. It took less than 10 minutes and I achieved the results that I was expecting. I hope to come back and try her other services!
The location is located on the second floor of a business building that is situated in a neighborhood location. There is a small parking lot. The house is located on the corner of Grant and 3^rd.

I had an amazing experience here yesterday. Let’s just say this, I’m fat! I have always been self concious at even the thought of getting a full Brazilian done, but hey fat girls want to be well groomed too. I specifically mention being a bigger girl, as many of us need services like this but do not know who to see. Well ladies, no matter what your size — go to see Heather. She is wonderful. No judging here. Her salon is clean, calming, and inviting. It’s located in a house so it feels more like you’re visiting her at home. As for the waxing itself? I had a full Brazilian with full legs done. We chatted and the time flew by. I can say that this was as painless as waxing can be. Everyone is different but Heather knows her stuff ! I may just treat myself to a facial one day. I can see why she has such a loyal following. There is now one more.

The first time I got a wax from Heather was a couple of years ago at a different spa. I thought she was very warm, friendly, she put me at ease and she did a great job. She ended up leaving the spa and I did not know where she went. I finally found her– thanks to Unilocal!and I have started frequenting her spa– «Voda» and I am so pleased! Heather is just great– friendly and professional. Her quality of work is great and I am so glad I found her again!

If you’re looking for a professional girl who knows how to wax, look no further! Heather knows her stuff! The location is a little unusual, but after you find it the first time, your problem is solved. I was very happy with my waxing services and found it very affordable. Well done! In support of small businesses, I checked Unilocal hoping to find a good therapist/​aesthetician. I had bookmarked Voda Spa for a few months and came across a Living Social deal. This was my time to finally see what other Unilocalers were talking about.
Heather is such a nice lady, very patient and definitely skilled/​knowledgeable. I had a 60 minute facial with a mini massage. My face must have known I was going to visit her because about a week earlier, it decided to break out. Heather was able to address my skin issues and provide me with a really relaxing facial — it was so relaxing, I FELL ASLEEP. The mini massage was for my legs/​feet and hands. It was great to get the warming ‘socks’ put on my feet, I have circulation issues, so my feet are usually cold. The whole experience was super relaxing, not only was it difficult for me to stay awake, I just wanted to stay on the heated table with the warming socks on.
Heather’s business is located in a quiet residential area. A large, white house has been turned into a ‘multiplex’ of businesses and Voda Spa is located on the second floor. I went on a Saturday, so the house and neighborhood was very quiet.

This spa is truly professional and emasculate. It is located in a unique setting which made it feel more welcoming and calm. Heather was so easy to talk to and educated me on before and after care of my Brazilian wax.
The after results were flawless! She takes her time and truly cares. Unlike places such as European wax center, which just wants to get you in and out of there as quickly as possible, Voda is on another level and I will definitely be going back there!

I was new to the whole Brazilian wax but was put to ease upon stepping into the spa. She talked throughout my visit and mainly kept my mind off of it (thank goodness). She was professional, quick and skilled. I would highly recommend a visit to her spa.

Wow! I’d like to start by thanking fellow Unilocalers for leading me to Heather at Voda! Secondly, I would have to thank Heather for doing what she does and doing it so well.
I haven’t had a facial in years and needed to change that fast. The congestion was getting to be too much. The place I used to go has a disconnected phone number so I was left to Unilocal.
Heather was pleasant, knowledgeable, and has excellent listening skills. Not once did I feel like it was financial transaction… get in, get out. NOT that way at all here and I will definitely be back. In fact, I have already booked an appointment to get a massage.

Heather is awesome! Being pregnant I was really nervous to get a Brazilian. I learned that skin is very sensitive during pregnancy. I told her lets try to see how it goes. All of the sudden she says we are done! Brazilians are never pain free! But this was the best experience I ever had. She also chatted with me the entire time! Helped get my mind off of the process.

Heather was the first esthetician who did my very first full Brazilian wax two years ago. Back then, I had a huge fear of the process and shaved all the time. Heather put me at ease and chatted with me throughout the whole process, worked very fast by ripping off small patches of hair at a time and using a tweezer to make sure there are no in-​grown hairs left behind. She also encourages you to inhale and exhale at the appropriate times should there be a slight «twing» of discomfort. I’ve gotten waxed at some different spas (underarms and Brazilian) and have either been burned, or left with wax/​hair on the waxed area. Not with Heather…
Yesterday, I went for my first Brazilian wax with Heather at Voda and can only say that she has gotten even better! As a distance runner building milage week after week, it is now becoming more imperative for me to keep up with my waxing régime. I’m due for my period next week and am usually overly sensitive in that area, but decided to bite the bullet and get it done regardless. The outcome? The waxing was flawless, virtually painless and simply magical! Heather is really skilled and awesome; why go anywhere else?
Like some of the other Unilocalers on here, I also followed Heather from her last spa and love the fact that she has opened Voda Spa & Wellness Studio! Booking my appointment online through her website was speedy and simple; plus, I was sent an email reminder about my appointment the day before as well and I appreciate her 12 hour cancellation policy compared to the usual 24−48h of other area spas. In addition to waxing, Heather is also an amazing massage therapist and now that I am reading about it… would love to try out her facials as well!
Voda is located on the first floor of a large, white Victorian home, tucked away in the quaint neighborhoods of Herndon, VA right off of Elden Street. There are several other businesses in the home as well. The building is unique and the overall atmosphere feels much more homey than being in yet another office park or strip mall in NoVA. Simply put, it’s a great place to relax in a one-​on-​one studio setting!

AMAZING is the only word that can sum up Heather. I’ve been seeing her for about a year now & followed her to Voda from her last Spa, and love her new location. She is a fantastic, virtually painless waxer — I get underarm, full brazilian, and lip. I used to dread getting my Brazilians and now I actually look forward to them because they are as close to pain less as possible and talking with Heather keeps your mind off the fact that you are voluntarily ripping hot wax off your body.
Her facials are also awesome. I often forget how gross and clogged up my skin is until I leave my appointment with a brand new fresh face. She makes my skin glow and makes those deep extractions as comfortable as possible.
Bonus: She is also very well priced for this area! GO SEE HEATHER, you will not regret it!

She’s great at waxing — I get both brazillian and underarm. She has a great sense of humor and totally puts you at ease. Not an easy feat when you’ve got your junk hanging out with hair being ripped out! She also does small sections at a time so that lessens the pain vs. one big swatch. She also doesn’t bat an eye should you feel the need for a well-​placed piece of profanity during the waxing (KELLY CLARKSON!!) –again, totally puts you at ease.
I’ve also had a facial and massage and actually fell asleep on the table the last time I had a massage. I’m a total Type-​A who can never fully relax, so to zone off and start snoring was HUGE. She really knows her stuff!
I would recommend Heather’s services to anyone — she’s so good at what I’ve had done that I just want to try out all the other services she offers! Check her out!
