Not good at all, I’d rather go with Pizza Hut honestly

love the crust, and service, but don’t go there at slow time, you’ll get dry-hard like cardboard pizza.

We’ve been ordering from Z Pizza for a while now and have experienced the gamut in service. Sometimes the pizzas arrive very quickly and other times… not so much.(On one memorable occasion, it took 1 hour 15 minutes to arrive. However, when I called, the manager told me his driver had been pulled over by the cops, and so he’d been delayed. Whether this was true or not, I’ve no idea, but I admired the story, all the same!) When it arrives late, the pizza is obviously colder than it should be. But when it arrives in good time, all is well in the world. They have a good variety of pizzas, with interesting flavors that you definitely will not get from Vocelli, Dominos, or wherever. The crust is variable; sometimes crisp and other times more chewy than I prefer. They also have a variety of salads that are very good; try the Greek with balsamic vinaigrette. Z Pizza is way ahead of Vocelli and Dominos. If they were more reliable on delivery than those two, it’d be a no-brainer for deivery pizza every time.

This place has something for everyone. High quality ingredients make top-notch pizza. They started to carry true vegan cheese; although their online order form suggests it’s soy cheese, it’s actually daiya vegan cheese. I prefer it to normal mozzarella. They also carry gluten-free crusts. Their online ordering form speaks for itself. My husband & I always use it; they always get the order right when we enter it online. It also makes it easier to substitute ingredients(rather than adding on extra ingredients!) so you can save a bit of cash there. The topping selection is out of this world. For nothing extra, you can have fresh herbs(not dried) sprinkled on top. Just expand the«zpizza extras» section of the online order form to check that out!

Healthy Pizza. I thought that was a paradox. Nice to have a healthy option around.

I decided to give this place a try on a lunch break. I was expecting a good pizza based on other reviews. First off the guys running the place have an odd way of talking to you as others have pointed out. I don’t think the wait either of the two times I went was bad, but do be prepared to wait a bit. I ordered one of their ZBQ pizzas and found it to be rather weak on flavor. I thought the whole angle that zpizza is coming with would mean their pizza dough would taste great. Instead it had a sandy texture and was almost absent of any taste. Second trip I decided to go with the standard pepperoni pizza. This time it was in the evening rather than lunch time. Again I found the service to be awkward and the pizza again lacking in any flavor. I won’t write off zpizza until I try a different location. As far as this one goes, I won’t ever be back.

I have had Z Pizza in the past and it is normally a really good pizza choice because of the different topping options etc. but, I had to write a review regarding the service I received today. My office called on Z pizza to cater a corporate lunch held in-house with VIP visitor(s). The driver was an HOUR late. Our Admin Asst. was very patient as well as totally embarrassed at the delayed lunch. On top of all of that, the pizza really wasn’t that great and had this odd reheated taste. This is the 2nd time we have ordered from Z pizza and they were LATE. This is just bad biz if you ask me a needless to say we will NOT order from this franchise again.

Great pizza — lots of unique varieties along with the standards– a bit pricey but worth a try!

Fantastic pizza. The best I’ve had in a very long time. There are three good pizza places in my area and this is one of them(the other two being Emilio’s and Pomodora).

I’ve loved this place every time I’ve ordered from it, and their website makes it so easy(one might say… a little TOO easy) to do. It’s a bit pricy for regular pizza, but the toppings are awesome, and it’s not your run-of-the-mill stuff. That said, they’re a chain, and I try very hard to give the extra credit for non-chain stores.

The first time I ordered delivery and the pizza never showed up. This time I ordered take out and I have to say that I NEVER paid this much money for a pizza with so little toppings. I will never eat at this place again.

This place is great! Excellent salads, pasta and pizza. They are very aware of allergy suffering customers and will take special requests for how to prepare the food to avoid contamination. A nice touch! They offer wheat crusts as well as gluten free crusts. They serve soy cheese on some pizzas. Overall, an excellent pizza/pasta place in Herndon.

Pizza was good. However, they tried to rip me off and overcharge *TWICE*. I had a $ 5 off coupon and the guy acted like he took off the discount, and tried to get me to sign the cc slip when he didn’t. Once I brought this to his attention he applied the coupon, but added an additional drink to my order which wasn’t previously there. Then I had to wait for him to adjust again. So, I will not be going to this particular location again. I’ll go to dulles instead.

Dear Z Pizza, I cannot thank you enough for having soy cheese. THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU. Thanks, Katia Seriously though, soy cheese! Yay! Lots of interesting combos to be had on this menu, and the veggie-sans-dairy option was a breath of fresh air. Plus, it totally hit the spot, and maybe several other, lesser known spots as well.

Alright — four out of five stars. Maybe they’ll earn the fifth star from me some time — but right now I’m going to withhold it for future patronage. Hungry as I usually am around noon, I went ahead and took my office mate’s suggestion to order from ZPizza. Just like Benjamin, he lives across the street and has been frequently those little stores in there with his wife. I searched them online and found their menu at and quickly found one that I liked — the Tuscan. As always, I’m a huge fan of fungus — as long as it isn’t growing between my toes or other places on my body. EW… At first I was a little surprised at how the guy answered the phone. Apparently he was a bit swamped plus it isn’t a consulting firm — that easily meant a little more lax courtesy on the phone. Nick wasn’t rude — just different. Anyway, I ended up ordering the pizza and was told 40 minutes for the delivery. No problem. Well, almost an hour went by and I got the call from the delivery guy. First, he didn’t go to the loading dock of the building which is where we’re supposed to accept deliveries. Second, the guy didn’t have change for a $ 20! Now this is where they started to redeem themselves. He let me take the pizza and just asked that I call to pay via credit card. Fine, no harm, no foul on this one. Nick expressed his apologies on the phone that the pizza took too long to get to me(it was a tad on the warm side rather than piping hot) and asked me to come in next time to get a 10% discount. Fine, you won my business the next time I’m in the mood for pizza. We’ll see how it goes on the next round!

Z Pizza just opened up across the street from my condo. I headed over on opening night to give it a try. I had never eaten at Z Pizza before. I was greeted by friendly staff, and began looking over the menu. They have many things that look really good, but I decided to go with the ZBQ pizza. I ordered it without cheese as I am allergic to dairy, and much to my surprise, they actually asked is this was allergy related. They then offered to make the pizza away from the cheesed pizzas to prevent contamination. I was impressed by the request as I have never had a pizza place ask this before. The pizza came out in about 18 minutes and was delicious. The crust was crisp and the toppings were fresh. I especially liked the ripe and tasty roma tomatoes that they had put on it. The chicken was lean, and the bbq sauce flavor worked very well with it. Their prices are higher than some other places like dominos, but you get what you pay for. I will certainly be going back to Z Pizza. **update** I have eaten at Z Pizza 3 more times and have greatly enjoyed each experience. They get the 5th star now.
