Our famous Gourmet Ultra-​Thin Brittle is made the old fashioned way! Since 1956 our family has been making homemade, confections for your pleasure! We have been serving the Hershey, Harrisburg, Lebanon, York and surrounding areas for over 50 years. We truly enjoy making candy and love feeding happy mouths! History

Established in 1956.

In 1956, Mom and Dad Grove started making peanut brittle as a fundraiser for their church’s participation in a program to send livestock overseas to families still recovering from WW II. (The organization that coordinated that program still functions today: www​.heifer​.org .)” Our parents decided they could help out by making and selling Peanut Brittle to help raise funds. My grandmother, Blanche, used an old recipe that she was given by a candy maker. People looked forward to my grandmother’s Peanut Brittle and she made it a yearly celebration for the church and community. In fact we tease Dad that he married Mom, just to get hold of the Peanut Brittle recipe. So out of that love — Groves Peanut Brittle business was born.

Even in today’s fast pace, our Peanut Brittle is still made the old fashioned way by our parents and Groves Peanut Brittle has been thriving for 50 years. And we are proud to know that it has to be good tasting to last so long.

Business Owner

Earl is the youngest son of Mildred and Evan Grove so, there was little chance of him not becoming a candy maker. All through his growing up years he learned with out knowing it the fine details of being real candy maker.

However, after high school he made a sharp turn away from candy making and went to school to study theatre. While Earl was enjoying his new founded success in the arts, down deep he missed his fingers in the chocolate. So he decided to do both staying mainly on the creative candy creation side of the business! He is still creating new products to this day.
