Courtyard by Marriott

What a great hotel! I so didn’t know what to expect from this place because a) it’s located in Hesperia, and b) someone I know who had stayed here previously didn’t enjoy their stay. But as for me, I give it two thumbs up.
One of the awesome things about the hotel is that they have a Starbucks downstairs in the lobby that is open late. They also have really good snacks at the bar that are relatively inexpensive for a hotel. For instance, we got the hummus platter, which included a very generous serving of hummus; raw carrots, celery and cucumbers; and pita chips. I think it came out to about $ 5!
The hotel room itself was very clean. You need to trust me when I say that because I hate staying at hotels because the cleanliness is usually mediocre at best, even at the expensive places. But no, our room was clean. Our room also came with a mini fridge, which I feel should be standard in a hotel above a certain price range.
Overall, we had a great stay!

Had a great stay! Audrey (I think that’s her name)@ the front desk was great from checking in-​checkout. The 1^st room we were given was close to the elevator and I have a baby so I asked if we could be moved and she did so gladly. The hotel was busy that night with a graduation and she was running around like a busy bee but was really friendly! Our room, 2 queen beds, was a good size, very clean and beds are pretty comfortable. They have an indoor pool that the kids loved, we brought towels from our bathroom but our friends didn’t and they were out of towels but again Audrey up front let us know they were in the washer and would bring them out as soon as they finished.
Price was a little high for Hesperia but it was Memorial Day wkend, so…

First timer staying at this Courtyard. I utilized the mobile application for check in and just needed to show my ID to receive my breakfast voucher, welcome gift of my choice from the market and keys to my suite.
The rooms are a bit dated and the suite was roomy but could use a face lift of furniture and bed. What did stand out was that the bistro restaurant downstairs doesn’t open until 630 am but the female employee packed me a healthy bfast sammie which came with fruit and a cup of Starbucks coffee to go around 600 am. I was able to use my breakfast voucher since I was meeting a client for breakfast. I also was impressed the menu options that offered healthy alternatives — turkey sausage and egg white sammies verses traditional breakfast entrees.
I would recommend this hotel which is located off the 15 freeway and a good place to lay over if need be stop between San Diego and Las Vegas.

We had Courtyard Marriott cater my sons wedding. From the beginning when we went to a Bridal Expo and spoke to the Events Coordinator we were very excited. I had worked with Laura in the past for Chamber events. We had a proposal and all the fees were explained and noted on our proposal. When we went to the Marriott to put our deposit and secure the date for the venue we found out that Laura was let go. So we proceeded to work with current events coordinator manager as she confirmed with us that whatever we were quoted at the Bridal Expo they would honor. Well as time passed and each time we went into make arrangements the events coordinator managed to try to change things like the food, etc. We went from two entrée buffet to no meat and only pasta. Had I not went with my future daughter n law and express my dissatisfaction we would of basically had pasta, no meat, bread, zucchini and green salad. I specially asked the cook to make sure the zucchini was not mushy and soggy, but that’s exactly what we got. By the way they made us pay extra to include chicken with our menu. Altering our original quote from bridal expo. The manager coordinator Amy proceeded to try to get us to pay $ 250.00 for the open bar. We originally were quoted $ 150.00. Then on the evening of the event we found the linen was the wrong kind and the colors were all wrong. It was a stressful day to begin with and then to have the hotel not follow through with all the specific arrangements we made and the price we paid was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend the Courtyard Marriott in Hesperia to anyone who wants to have a stress free wedding or event. They could use another Chef as the one they currently have needs more training. I also wanted to add that it is never good business to bad mouth previous employees when you are interviewing prospective customers. The current events general manager Amy who assisted us made negative comments on Laura the previous events coordinator manager. One of the comments made was «and that’s why Laura was let go»! Saying comments like that is so unprofessional by Amy. It only showed me what type of person she is, and not to mention gave me a negative impact on the company and what type of employees they hire to represent the franchise. Sadly I will not recommend the Marriott in Hesperia to friends and family for future events.

Second weekend at this fine hotel! JONATHAN at the front desk went above and beyond making us feel welcome! Thank you for the five star service, a great start to our weekend and excellent attention to details! This hotel is clean, roomy and this won’t be our last visit!

The bistro was great! The food was delicious. I recommend getting the pizza, wing, and the fries.

Why does this place allow LOUD parties past midnight?
They front desk was too busy face booking & checking their instagrams & taking selfies instead of bring us menus to the the room so we could takeout as this place has no room service
The place was crowed for some soccer weekend & they had no more towels for the pool. why not be prepared since the hotel knew they had a busy weekend?
The «breakfast» was over priced. choice of coffee or orange juice & a stale egg sandwich.
Rude front desk

First, I will make a general location comment, then will focus on this hotel (in hopes someone of importance will read this and address it). I was rather annoyed when I was trying to book a hotel closer to Barstow, CA and this was the closest option. I was further annoyed when I realized there were two Marriott properties that literally shared a parking lot in Victorville, and none in the nearby Barstow. If you have a large area where there are very few properties, why wouldn’t you spread them out a bit more? Anyway… to the hotel specific review.
First, ALL of the staff at this hotel were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. From the front desk person to the people who worked at the bistro. Everyone was great. I was offered several room options instead of just throwing me in any open room, which I greatly appreciated. It shows you do genuinely care about your guests and their preferences.
The room was great and clean. No complaints at all with the room. The balcony, while not able to be used due to the weather, was a nice touch, even if it was small, it gave the room a higher perceived value. I will agree with the comment about the really thin walls, I could definitely hear my neighbors, but as soon as I turned on the AC fan on high, it muted out almost all of the noise.
I’d definitely stay here if I was back in the area again.

Isn’t this place supposed to not allow LOUD parties til midnight so guests can sleep?
All is great except for two issues:
#1– parking is limited and the entire lot is full.
#2– the hotel booked a party for a suite. With thumping music so I can’t sleep. I called the front desk 4 times between 9pm and 12:30 am. They did nothing to stop the music.
Now, I’m trying to sleep but apparently, I have to listen to the thumping of loud music until 11pm. The desk just told me it was a party they booked.
Ummm, if I knew I would have to what thumping not music instead of quiet, I would have booked elsewhere.
So, the hotel booked suite for a large party and is allowing them to blast their thumping music regardless of complaints. The party also made it so we had to park at another hotel and walk back.
Ridiculous
The thumping went on until about 12:30am regardless of multiple complaints.

The hotel looks nice but i could not sleep due to the noise from people upstairs. You also can hear the tv and people talking in the other rooms. They did a bad job sound proofing the rooms. The front desk is really nice and moved me into another room, but the person in the room next door has his TV way to loud. I didn’t get any sleep. Wish they had a volume rule for the TV after 12: am so I could of got to sleep. I’m not going to stay at this hotel again.

Well it was in Hesperia, CA… so I guess that was the Best it could be… the Bed was awful… in pain all day the following day.

Really like staying here. The rooms are always very clean and the furnishings are nice. The hotel has a cheerful vibe about it, color scheme wise, without being overdone. They offer small bites and drinks in the hotel café bar. There is a very small store that you can purchase items from as well, pay at the desk. There are 2 pools, one indoor and one out. They are just pools no ambiance about them, but, I am quite sure any child would love to take a dip. They would also be convenient for exercise. If the outdoor was made a little more inviting I’d rate this place a 5. I realize there is not much space to work with around the pool outside, but I feel something could be done to improve the space.

It’s pretty inside but if you go to the bar and want to have a cocktail way overpriced for staying in the high desert in Hesperia really I’m not in Newport Beach

Everything was great except for the front desk. They had one person doing room calls and checking people in which made it take a very long time to get checked in.

I knocked off a star due to the long black hair I found on the outside of a towel they had hanging on the rail in the bathroom. That’s gross.
However, that was the first and last hiccup at this hotel. All other areas were clean. Also, someone else may not have noticed the hair. I can be a bit of a germaphobe. I’m the kind that does not let my feet touch the floor in homes besides mine and my mom. I bring my own bed in a bag including pillows. U get the picture.
Anyway, the rooms are up to date along with the rest of the hotel. The walls are a bit thin, but whatever. It wasn’t a big deal because I didn’t have noisy neighbors. Both my parents and my husbands parents stayed so I only noticed it when I went to their rooms and I could hear others. It didn’t bother me though.
They have Starbucks, which I could care less for because I’m a Coffee Bean Freak. It was good though because my mom got sick and we were able to go downstairs and get her tea.
There was also a good selection of breakfast items. You do have to pay for your breakfast items here, it’s not like at the Fairfield or Springhill. They had a wonderful dining area and the other hotel guests were nice. Several of them spoke to my son and my mini me about their Easter clothing. Nice of them to engage a 4 and 6 y/​o.
Anyway, I would give them a 4.5÷5 star review if I could. Also, the hotel staff are friendly on your engagement. They don’t go out of their way to greet you or anything, but when you need to talk to them they are friendly. I will definitely come back n visit with my family here and stay in this hotel.

My first choice hotel was booked, so I called this hotel to see if they had availability, I was told they did. I asked for a specific discount and placed on hold for almost 6 minute. When you’re sitting on the side of the road with a dying cellphone, six minutes is a long time. I hung up and drove to the hotel. When I walked in the young lady was on the phone, so I stood a waited (just a few moments). I started to check in, it was between 4 – 5 PM and this gal seemed to be working alone! (Why was she alone during the busiest time of day?). She took several phone calls during my check in while my son sat in front of the hotel, in my vehicle (where I could see him). Honestly, I was a bit frustrated that she didn’t answer the phone and say «please hold» within a moment or two, but taking other reservations as I stood waiting.
Being a travel agent I watch for everything, seeing how my clients would be treated if I was to send them there. I even had told her I was an agent, not expecting special treatment, but at least normal respect. I honestly felt she was too busy and I was a disruption. It’s really sad, many agents rave about Marriott, I was hoping to see what they see!
On to the room. Every area I saw was very clean, I love that!!! The floors, little edges many miss. Papers were arranged nicely. The room was clean and I didn’t feel afraid to run around barefoot, though I passed;). The window could be cleaner, that’s about my only complaint on cleanliness! Nice, huh? And I had such a gorgeous view of Wrightwood when I (finally) woke up, btw, the room darkening curtains work too well, be warned!
Small one cup coffee maker, but at least they left 2 decaf & 2 regular makings.
I called down and asked to borrow ANY iPhone ⁵⁄₆ charger, guess what, I was put on hold for a very long time! Then they said they would find one, I never did hear back from anyone, and that’s after two calls.
I was told $ 72, I was charged $ 90 something (before taxes.
I’m not sure why the hotel accepts deliveries right in front of the entry, blocking the handicap parking. There’s plenty of ways to make deliveries in the rear!
No grass areas for service animals to potty, gravel/​Rock areas only (I checked completely around the hotel).
Close enough To walk to dining options, hotel has a sandwich type deli, snacks and made-​to-​order breakfast (if you leave your curtain darkeners open:)
All the waiting, this wouldn’t be my first choice. I’ll stay again if my first choice (Hilton) isn’t available. I needed extra blankets, but just got placed on hold AGAIN, strike 3!

This is the second time I stayed at this location. In noticing inclement weather driving back home to Vegas from LA, I decided to pull over for the night.
The girl at the front desk was friendly and the room was clean, yet not over the top fancy. However, it was definitely was one of the nicer Courtyards I’ve stayed.
The bed? It was so comfortable that I didn’t want to leave the following morning.
The bathroom was spacious. The only slight complaint I had was the bathroom door automatically shuts, which is bad if you desire to clear the bathroom from the steam generated by the hot shower.
Overall, it was a great experience! This hotel is a great, safe, and clean stopping point on the way to Vegas.

I ended up getting a room here for a few nights, as I was heading home to Las Vegas from LA and my car broke down. I was stranded in Hesperia and it was a terrifying experience. I was constantly crying and I’m pretty sure all of the hotel staff was aware of my situation. (I’m really bad at hiding things lol)
John the overnight front desk was so helpful to me, he assured me I was in safe hands and that everything would be okay. He accommodated me to the best of his ability, and I was so thankful.
The room I was given was beautiful, clean, and warm. The staff was very friendly, I cannot thank housekeeping enough for constantly offering me towels and hygiene necessities.
I hope someday I would find a better reason to stay here again, but Courtyard was definitely there for me when I was in need. Thank you so much.

Typical Courtyard, but it’s the best place to stay in the High Desert. Free wifi, free business center, indoor pool & spa, free parking, and Starbucks in the lobby.
We’ve stayed here many times. Great service every time. BUT this time I have to share our maid service story… We placed pillows under the sheets to create makeshift rails for our kid. We left for the day. When we returned, the room was clean and the rails were still intact!

One night stay…
Was not the worst and was not the best…
We got in late and all we really cared about was if the room/​bed was clean.
Other than that. parking was decent and we had no qualms.
