The fortune teller at our wedding was an absolute hit! There was never not a line to sit for a reading with her and our guests are still absolutely raving about the whole experience. We had to ask her to stay even longer. She was absolute magic and her attire was spot-​on. Highly recommend and I can’t wait to throw another bash with Smash.

I bought entertainment from Amy Gottesman, CEO of Smash Party Entertainment. I found some negative reviews about Smash Party Entertainment online, but it seemed that those were extreme circumstances. I am here to tell you that those are quite believable now. It turns out that Amy promised that she would attend my event to make sure everything went smoothly, but she never did. When there were problems at the event, Amy was unreachable. Her excuse was that she only works until 5pm. Since most entertainment would be at night, that seems pretty ridiculous. As a result, I was left with entertainment that was late, and no one to reach at Smash. The entertainment I was giving as a gift turned out to be a disaster. After researching further, I found out that the twitter account that Amy uses that talks about all of these grand events — most have nothing to do with her or her company. She did not attend most of these events, she did not have most of these people as clients and she wasn’t an invited guest. Her account is very misleading as were our conversations.
I found her to be extremely unprofessional and I’m embarrassed that the gift that I gave caused so many problems and Smash Party Entertainment had no interest in resolving the situation or taking any responsibility for the issues that I encountered. If you read her contract, it is completely ridiculous and basically says Smash Party Entertainment is responsible for nothing, so you have to pay even if no entertainment shows up. In addition, there is no place for her signature and she will never sign the contract on her end. Then when you leave her negative reviews on various sites, she knows all the tricks to get them removed. She is very aggressive and will threaten you will all sorts of things once something goes wrong. She has threatened legal action because of truthful negative reviews. So, ask yourself, is this really a person you want to get involved with and have to deal with all of these potential issues? Trust me, this company is a nightmare and not something you want to have anything to do with for your event or special day. I’ll be happy to send my contract, my evidence of payment and my correspondence from Amy to any potential clients as proof that she was to provide a service that did not happen when and how it was agreed to.
