Captain Schoonmaker Bed & Breakfast

I only got to stay here one night, but it was the coziest, most perfect room I could have asked for. I booked the cheapest room (waterfall room) but Robin put us in a bigger room when we got there because she is so accommodating and sweet! I loved the stream in the back and all the chairs– coming here in October was a great choice as the trees were all changing and the property was BEAUTIFUL. I would come back in any season though because I loved it so much.
Robin makes breakfast for her guests and invites them into her home with her doggies in the morning. She is such a warm, wonderful person and I really wish her the best– I 1000% recommend staying here if you’re in the area. The only thing I would point out is that the walls are a bit thin which meant, for us, being on the bottom floor, you may hear some business getting done above you ;) we were good sports about it but it may be something to anticipate if noise at night bothers you.

My partner and I are staying here overnight for a mini getaway. Love the house. We booked a room at the Waterfall (cheapest room in the barn) and because there are no other visitors, Robin the Innkeeper gave us the biggest room in the barn. We love the décor here. It is beautiful. The view is gorgeous. The backyard (river, we assume) is full of snow. All you see is white. Everything is just perfection. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning.

The place is beautiful! We just went there last weekend and everything was perfect. Robin, the owner, catered to all we needed during our stay. The room is very clean and the bed very comfortable. Will definitely visit there again during warmer season this time.

This place is FANTASTIC! Best B&B I have ever been too, we have been there twice and will go back again for sure. The hostess is such a sweetheart who helps out with anything. Great breakfast by the open fire. The ultimate romantic spot, great rooms with a view over the creek and charming décor. Super for hiking or biking during the day, we found a hidden waterfall and spent the afternoons drinking wine in the hammock by the creek. Don’t miss out on this place.

One of the best B&B i have been in my Life !!! True NY upstate expérience. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast yummy.
