Elite Event: Ladies Night At Olga’s Day Spa

I have visited many spas before but Olga’s Day Spa was the cleanest and the most inviting place I have been to. All the services Olga’s offered for the event was amazing as I was able to get pampered with a keratin hand treatment, lip treatment, and 10 minute tune-​up massage. I was impressed by how quickly the services were offered and at the same time very thorough. I felt relaxed during the entire time and enjoyed the healthy snacks that were offered as well.
Thanks to the amazing staff of Olga’s Day Spa and Angela for an awesome event and all your hard work! I loved it!

This was my first ever Unilocal event! And I’m afraid I may have been spoiled — we were primped and pampered. When I first went into the salon, I was amazed at how beautiful it was inside and all the attention to detail they took into planning the event.
There was a table full of refreshments that included sandwich wraps, cheese plate with crackers, fruits and vegetables, dessert, and hummus. Beverages included red or white wine, coffee, water, or tea brewed from a nearby local shop. We got a keratin lip and hand treatment by Mariana, our skin analyzed by Dawn, and then a 10-​minute full body massage by Hailey. Dawn was incredibly knowledgable and helped give me recommendations on how to best take care of my skin. I really appreciated the fact that she didn’t just try to sell the products they carried at that store which showed that she genuinely wanted to help you take care of skin with what you already had and other products that would work well.
Finally, we had goody bags to take home! The idea of getting goody bags isn’t fun for only 7-​year old birthday parties; everyone enjoys a bag full of treats. In the bag there were some coupons, chapstick, Burt’s Bees brightening face care sample, and a pair of earrings from Modern Opulence.
Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. This is a great place to have a bachelorette or birthday event, or simply just to treat yourself out!

Amazing what a 10 min Tune Up massage can be. This was just a sample of the splurging we got at the Ladies Night Unilocal event.
The owner, Dani, is such a warm and lovely lady. She made sure we met with the entire staff and had free reign to the entire spa. There’s a yoga room, mani/​pedi stations, massage room, makeup, along with changing and lockeroom.
The face scan was interesting. It’s an intense UV light and magnifier that allows the skin care specialist to see into your pores, freckles and all.
Along with a keratin hand mask and lip exfoliation, this was truly one of the most relaxing and fun Unilocal event I’ve got to experience, not to mention, I came out like a new gal! Wine, tea and small bites were all generously provided. The space was beautiful updated and fits right into the charming town of Highland Park.

An absolutely lovely ladies event at Olga’s day spa! The dreary weather was perfectly countered by the warm greetings and a table of healthy snacks asy guest and I arrived slightly late.
This place offers a wide variety of services and we were able to sample a number of them. I want able to try everything, but the keratin hand treatment left my hands soft and through the face scan session I was alerted about some areas of my face I’ve been neglecting! I was really quite impressed with the variety of services this place has to offer, which is hard to tell from the little store front. Yoga, massage, lip treatments, mani, pedi, and more, it is the perfect place for ladies to have a little «me» time.
Props to Angela for another awesome event with swag that perfectly fit (ponchos for the rain) and some great stuff from Olga’s and local stores as well!

This was my first North Shore event, which is DEFINITELY up there on my top Unilocal Elite event list. Everything was amazing!
I always love getting new Unilocal freebies, which in this case was a poncho, tote bag, pen and nail filer! I also got the sunglasses, mints and lip balm. Olga’s Day Spa also gave away a goodie bag with a $ 10 gift certificate, earrings, lip balm and a Burt’s Bees sample. Can someone catch me while I faint from happiness?
I started off getting a lip exfoliation and keratin hand treatment from Mariana, who was very nice and said she’s been at Olga’s for 19 years. My lips did feel very tingly from the treatment and looked great afterward! My hands felt so smooth also. After that, I wandered off to the skin analysis station with Dawn. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Although my face under a black light scared the crap out of me, it was helpful to know that I need more hydration and sunblock on my skin. What I like about her style is that she doesn’t upsell any products upon us and instead provides tips based off of what we’re currently using or can use that’s clearly not endorsed. Next up was the body massage in the basement level, which had multiple rooms and included a yoga room. I had a 10-​minute full body massage from Hailey, who probably gave one of the best massages I ever had! She had the right amount of pressure and hit the right spots. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Although I didn’t get to eat much of the food because I quickly scarfed down a 2-​entrée Panda Express meal right before this event, the food table looked great! I did help myself to a couple of fruits.

The rain couldn’t keep me away! What a gorgeous place for a pampering session. We were treated to hand, lip, massage and facial consultation and loving every minute! From the minute I walked into Olga’s, I was impressed by the details on everything from the comfortable and beautiful furnishings to the the product selection. Thank you to Dani for welcoming us, to Dawn for your great skin advice and to all the ladies! Another awesome event from the best CM, Angela!!!

This was the perfect ladies night out event. We all could use a little pampering sometimes and Olga’s Day Spa hit the spot tonight. This wasn’t your typical mani/​pedi, mini facial type of spa event. Tonight’s event fabulously highlighted Olga’s specialty services around our skin. The glowing owner, Dani gave the history of Olga’s and a quick run down of some of their great services. I was excited to get the pampering started. I had a skin analysis where I learned and saw first hand the importance of using sunscreen, exfoliating, and staying hydrated protects our most important asset, our skin. Dawn was very friendly and her knowledge sharing was obviously well received by everyone. Thanks, Dawn! I had a keratin hand treatment which was as simple as slipping on some warm keratin filled gloves a few minutes. The energetic and full of smiles Larken explained that this treatment is extremely popular with manis and pedis and I could immediately see why when I instantly felt the softness in my hands and arms as Larken massaged the keratin in. Thanks, Larken! I had a lip exfoliation treatment which removed the cracked top layer and left my lips smooth and plump. I thought it may hurt like a lip scrub, but Kathy eased that fear with her gentleness. Thanks, Kathy! Last, but definitely not least, I had a 10 minute tune up massage from the nice Margaret, who’s soft and quick hands gave my muscles just enough relaxation. It definitely left me wanting more. Thanks, Margaret!
I cannot forget to mention the bites and drinks. They had (which i believe) were turkey wraps, hummus and pita chips, a veggie tray, a fruit tray, and small bites of lemon cake and brownies. Everything was tasty. They had some fruit infused tea from a local tea shop that was very good. They also had white and red wine that the staff continued to pour for the guests. They also have a drink station of coffee and water (plain, or infused with lemon or cucumber).
Thanks to Angela, the Unilocal crew, Dani and the Olga’s Day Spa team on a wonderful ladies night out. Hopefully, we can have a mother and daughter type of spa event in the near future :).
On the place itself: the spa is very elegant, relaxing and clean. Each station was neat and well organized. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The staff is polite and comforting. I really appreciate how everything was labeled, so you know what exactly is being used on you (i.e. acetone nail polish remover, 99% alcohol). The services offered tonight were incredible and it makes me anxious to set up a true spa day to experience their many other services. Maybe take advantage of one of their daily deals. Olga’s really knows how to make their customers’ visit a relaxing one they won’t want to end.

I had a friend who used to go to Olga’s before Olga retired a few years back, but I had never been. Tonight I was thrilled to attend the girls’ night and get a taste of the operation and their offerings.
I was warmly greeted by Dani, the current owner, and offered a glass of wine, before being whisked off for a facial skin analysis. Next, I enjoyed a soothing keratin hand massage, then some yummy finger foods while I waited for a most relaxing and enjoyable 10-​minute full body massage by Margaret on the lower level. What a way to top off the night!
The spa itself is clean, tastefully decorated and cozy, with very nice bathrooms, and friendly, gracious staff. Everyone was courteous, helpful, and prompted me to ask for a menu of services. And what a treat on a week night to enjoy drinks, snacks, fabulous spa services, and great company of Angela and fellow elites! I’m so happy that I went.

Dannie is a most gracious host & owner of Olga’s Day Spa who arranged for us to each experience all aspects of her spa.
I started off grabbing some drink and food but was quickly swept into the facial scanning room where I learned about hydration & exfoliation in caring for my skin.
Next I walked over to the esthetician for a keratin hand treatment. My hands were thoroughly moisturized and massaged luxuriously.
I followed it with a lip exfoliating treat by Kathy and left with plump moist tingly lips.
The best part of the evening for me was the 10 minute tune up massage by Margaret who was trained at the Chicago School of Massage 15 years ago. I will definitely be back for a 60 – 90 minute session.
Little did I know how much I lacked in hydrating so many parts of my body!
Dannie was kind enough to provide goody bags so I can enjoy a discount at my next appointment for a day in the spa. The goody bag also come with some cute pearl earrings from Modern Opulence and discount card for shopping there, too, along with some other goodies!
It was a much needed fantabulous ladies night out!

Thank you Amanda, Dani, Nina, Margaret, Dawn, and all the rest of the people involved in putting this great event together. It was wonderful getting a relaxing break in the middle of the week.
First of all, I have to mention how beautiful it is inside of Olga’s Day Spa. I haven’t visited Olga’s before, but I have to say Dani is running an beautiful, professional, friendly business from what I have seen tonight. The décor was simple and clean. It was more spacious than I had expected (there is another floor downstairs for massages). I noticed that the bathrooms were kept clean (one thing I really look for at an establishment).
My friend and I really enjoyed the vegetables, wine, and spa water before beginning the mini treatments. I heard the tea was fantastic (it must have been because it was gone by the end of the night). Then, I received a keratin hand treatment and hand massage from Nina. Nina made my hands feel like butter! She also gave me some tips on how to keep my hands and feet moisturized. I would love to return and get a keratin foot treatment on my next visit. Then, I walked downstairs for a 10 minute massage. Margaret really helped work out the kinks in my neck and shoulders. She also gave me tips on how to relieve some of the muscle tension at home when I get stressed. Dawn made my facial skin analyzation flow seamlessly. She was professional and friendly as she gave me very practical advice and recommendations on how to take care of my skin.
I will definitely come back to receive some more treatments before my wedding day!
