GenX Generator is a full service home standby generator installer. We install and service systems for homeowners and businesses all over the greater Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs. We are a Generac Elite dealer, as well as dealers for Kohler, Briggs & Stratton and GE Home Power Systems. We primarily cover the Generac Guardian residential line from 7 kilowatts (kW) to 20kW for residential homes, but can size your system up to 150kW for larger needs or for commercial businesses.

History

Established in 1986.

A Division of Highland Park Electric, GenX Generator has installed over 3,000 residential systems and currently maintains over 4,000 (and counting), most of which are at residential homes and some are at commercial businesses. We have relationships with a large network of suppliers in this specialized industry, and we are known for our tremendous experience and capabilities, both with our vendors and with our customers. Business Owner

Jan Grevers has over 20 years of experience with power generation ranging from small indoor electrical backup systems to heavy duty outdoor commercial gas and diesel power generation, and everything inbetween. Since acquiring Gen X early in 2004, he has grown this business to where it now maintains nearly 4,000 standby generator systems throughout Chicagoland.
