History

Established in 1952.

Lee Lumber was founded by Lee Baumgarten at our 633 West Pershing location in 1952 as a supplier to the booming remodeling trade. Lee Lumber has expanded to a second lumber yard at 3250 North Kedzie, and three Spaces and Views showrooms; Spaces & Views in Lincoln Park, Highland Park, and SmartRooms in the Merchandise Mart.

We have provided materials to Chicago’s museums and many Landmark properties. We have designed and supplied luxury kitchens at prestigious addresses, and supplied thousands of do-​it-​yourself homeowners renovating their Chicago Bungalows.
