I often write Unilocal reviews that are positive, because I think it’s important to let others know when a small business has great customer service and provides high quality work. Unfortunately this is not one of those cases. I recently went in to discuss my need for layout help and printing for a flyer. I was not greeted very nicely by someone named Steve, who told me brusquely that he could not stop work and assist me. Ok. He was rude but I figured maybe he was having a bad day. So I showed him briefly what I wanted to do and allowed him to download the draft of the flyer and photos that I wanted sized and inserted. We discussed leaving space for a website address since I did not have one developed yet, the number of flyers I would want initially and left it with the agreement that he would email me something the next day.
Did not hear from him. Called the day after he was to send me a mock-​up and quote and he told me that he was busy and since we had no «contract» for flyers he would see if he could get around to doing something by the end of the day. He also mentioned that I was not clear about my website address, business name etc. which we had gone over in detail in the store. Needless to say I told him to forget about the whole thing and found someone else to assist me with this project.
When I called the Borough of Highland Park to find out who the franchise owner is of this location so I could discuss this with him or her directly, I was told by the Borough clerk that the ownership had changed recently and no new owner was on record as of yet. Hence my Unilocal review.
