Established in 1988.

Loyal patients have been returning to A Family Dental Practice of Highland since the 1980’s to receive complete dental care for every member of their family. In 2009, Dr. JD Bilbao revitalized the practice with innovative technology and current dental techniques. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the team treats everyone like a member of their own family.

Dr. Bilbao attended La Sierra University in Riverside, CA where he completed his undergraduate studies. He continued on to Loma Linda University and received his doctoral degree from their School of Dentistry.

He has been married for ten years and has four beautiful young girls. He is evidently a family man and is dedicated to treating you as his extended family.

I have gone to JD Bilbao twice so far and I strongly felt the need to leave a comment and rating. First, I have always hated visiting the dentist because of my prior experiences. However, when I knew I really needed to find a dentist because of pains I was having, JD Bilbao showed me not all dentists are the same. The man is very attentive and careful. He planned out a long procedure for 4 of my teeth that had cavities and needed to have the metal fillings taken out to clean inside and then re-​fill. I was numbed so quickly and pain free, I could not feel much going on. No more metal! No more uneven bites! Yesterday, I revisited for a cleaning and it went so well. The staff there was so kind to me and my family. They actually treat us like family. They gave my almost 2 year old daughter an opportunity to get comfortable because she was worried that people were doig something to me. It’s just refreshing when you go to a place that is clean, friendly staff, caring and professional. Now, that I feel different about dentists (at least JD), I am considering getting invisilign to straighten my teeth and I dont want anyone else to do it but them. They have earned my future visits! I highly recommend them to anyone who does not want to go to a dentist because of bad experiences and anyone who wants people who truly care.

Dr. Bilbau and staff are very professional and friendly. It is a pleasure to visit this office when I normally hate going to the dentist.(go figure) Staff makes me feel at ease and Dr. always takes the time to answer my many questions.
I initially wanted an Invisilign consultation and had been doing some research on prices.Dr. Bilbau was the lowest price, granted he is kind of new to the procedure, but its even better because he wants to make sure the results are absolutely perfect unlike some dentist that will hand you all of the trays and say change every few weeks and good luck. I was very thorough and I am very happy with the results. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and family!

I do not have dental insurance, so after meeting JD Bilbao at the Highland Chamber, I made an appointment. He offered me a great program and did a free exam today I had my filling done. Excellent staff, and great work, I highly recommend them!

I have been going Dr. Bilbao for a couple of years now and I have had EXCELLENT service each visit. The staff are professional and pleasant!!! Sitting in the chair use to be scary, until I changed over to Dr. Bilbao. It is now a non-​threatening experience to visit the dentist. He gives me an honest answer with my visits and that goes along ways. I have and will continue to recomend him to any of my friends or any one who asks for an Excellent Dentist!!!

Fun and helpful staff! Dr. Bilbao is excellent at what he does. He redid some cosmetic work for my chipped teeth, you can’t even tell the chip replacement from the real tooth. The dental hygienist was very gentle and my teeth cleaning did not hurt at all.

Dr. JD is a wonderful Dentist and person. His whole staff will spend the time required to provide the best treatment. He is realistic about his approach in treatment and will not only treat you well, but actually care for you as a person! Dr. Bilbao and his staff are AMAZING! They take care of my entire family, make sure we’ve kept up on our cleanings, xrays and fillings (if needed) for years.
Once, when Dr. Bilbao was out of town and my son had an emergency and needed to be seen right away, they sent me to another dentist a couple of miles away that I was able to see within the hour. OH YEAH, BY THE WAY DR. BILBAO, THANKS FOR THAT! You sent me to the best looking dentist on this side of the country! He smiled at me and I almost fell off my chair! All I could do was giggle, stutter and try not to stare at him. Whew!
But you’re our guy! And the best dentist we could ask for. Thanks for all the sugar free lollipops for my boys! They are willing to get a filling just for one of those.

Great staff! I went in because I broke a tooth, they did a full comprehensive look into my mouth and found all of the flaws to repair. I ended up getting a tooth cleaning and a filling in 2 teeth and it was very comfortable… After the shot obviously. But they took great care in making sure I was not in pain, and quickly got me in and out of the office. They deal with insurance and non-​insurance so either way it’s a win, win situation with this office, I would recommend it to everyone!
