I love this Mom & Pop Business!
Backdraft is a nice restaurant in a small town
next to me name Highlands! Great food here!
They support Law Enforcement, Firefighters or
anything doing with our hero’s and Military!
I love it! I generally eat Barbeque here but I have
gotten breakfast! Everything I’ve gotten was very
enjoyable!.. Employees are very professional and
on it! Very clean establishment!
So yes I highly recommend this Business!
I believe in supporting your Mom and Pop
Businesses! So if your in Highlands drop in
and try this place out. You want be disappointed!

Had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and black eye peas. CHICKEN FRIED STEAK WAS TENDER. Potatoes were small portion kind of dried out. Peas so-​so.

If you are from Highlands or work in the area this place is really good! The atmosphere is cozy and not fancy but the service is really quick and the food is always hot and made to order. I love their ribs and bake potatoes with sliced or chopped brisket. My boyfriend and I are regulars and he enjoys the Sampler which comes with 3 meats of your choice and 2 sides with Texas toast. OMG and their homemade brownies are sooooo good. Every time they have some in the basket I always take one to go. I’ve also had their chicken friend chicken and it is so yummy and has the right taste. Their BBQ sandwiches come with fries or chips and is also very tasty. If and when you are in the area stop by and give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.

The idea behind the name of this place is cool, but I wasn’t that impressed. I got the steak finger basket and the steak fingers were chewy and the fries were very ordinary. The service was a little slow and our waitress smelled like cigarette smoke and I kept getting a whiff of cigarettes while I was eating. When we left I smelled like I had been BBQing meat all day. Not my favorite place, but I would be willing to give it another try!

I had the 1 meat plate with brisket slices. Very good, not dried out and good flavor. The BBQ sauce was home made and had good flavor. I would have preferred it to have more of a bite though. The prices are very reasonable. The service was excellent and the meal came out promptly. I will come again.

I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. Their steak finger baskets are to DIE for. Made from real steak and not some sort of mystery meat fingers like DQ or anywhere else who serve up the preformed stuff.
Grab a humongous brownie on your way out for just a buck or be greedy and buy two and your sweet tooth is set for the day!

Really good food, all you Crosby people looking for something close that’s good and great service without going too far you can make the short trip to highland @ Backdraft. They smoke turkey’s for thanksgiving, fish and shrimp basket on Fridays, open on Monday.
