At Allegro Studios we are expertly developing the musician in everyone through joyful music education!

History

Established in 2006.

Whether you are seeking piano, voice, or guitar lessons, or even a positive first experience with group instruction for your preschool aged child, we have an enthusiastic staff of professional, full-​time, degreed music instructors to help you. In fact, all of our instructors have been teaching for at least 8 years!

Owned and operated by a licensed music educator, we are proud of what we do, and do it well. Our focus is on the student, using tested and proven curriculum, lesson planning, and great music!

What we are NOT: We are not contractors renting space in a music store, we are not little old ladies teaching out of their living rooms, we are not untrained college students dispatched by an in-​your-​home service, and we are not doing this on the side until we can really «make it bigtime» as performers. We already are performers, but we are first professional instructors; it is our chosen and beloved career.

I was kicked out of piano lessons at 9 years old.

In fairness to my mother, I knew it was coming. We did not have money to «waste» on lessons that I was not going use appropriately.

My mother is also very smart. She knew rarely a day went by that I wasn’t at the piano. So I did, eventually, pay for my own voice lessons, working part-​time at McDonald’s, and later piano lessons, all out of my own pocket. That will change your attitude about practicing.

So how did the little girl who got «banned» from piano lessons end up making a livelihood out of it as an adult? That experience formed a basis for why Allegro Studios is unique in central Ohio in terms of our teachers, our methods, and our overall philosophy.
