This YMCA allows older boys in the women’s locker room. It’s not appropriate for a naked nine-​year-​old male to be running around women – and I don’t want to undress in front of them! But girls the same age are NOT allowed in the men’s locker room. It’s sexist. There are several family changing rooms but it seems people don’t even know they exist. The women’s lockers are filthy and haven’t been cleaned in the four years I’ve been coming. Also there is no shower between the sauna and the pool/​hot tub and so sweaty men are always jumping from the sauna into the clean (ish) water.

I’m a current member here at the YMCA, and I’m fairly pleased. They seem to make a good effort to keep the areas clean and in order. Exercise machines are being cycled through replacement. My only gripe is the state of the steam room and sauna. They should really be updated and cleaned out, but I’ve been to other YMCA’s and the rest aren’t much better.

Love it here. Super affordable for the whole family. Every employee is very kind and helpful. The group classes are fun and rewarding. And my kids love it here.
