At Calvary Chapel Worship Center (CCWC) we seek to make God’s love known so that His people may grow in a living, dynamic relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

God’s «love letter» to the world is the Bible. The invitation that God gives is the best news this world has ever heard; God sent His Son to save us from our sins and give us the free gift of eternal life.

We are committed to helping people have a personal relationship with Jesus as their Lord and Savior, walking together to grow and mature in our faith.

What to Expect at CCWC:

Digging into God’s Word — You can always expect that we will study God’s Word because He sent His Word to tell us about His great love and equip us for the life He wants us to live. From Genesis to Revelation, you will receive biblical teaching that is practical, relevant, and life changing.

History

Established in 1990.

Calvary Chapel Worship Center started as a Bible study with about twelve people in the living room of Pastor Rich Jones. That was February of 1990. After a few weeks the group moved to Sunday morning services at Meadow Park Junior High School where the church met for two years. Those were the days of stopping by the storage unit early on Sunday mornings. We loaded the whole sound system in the back of Rich’s Mitsubishi. We knew we had arrived when we purchased some silk trees to make the cafeteria look like a … well, it still didn’t look like much, but we were happy just to have them.

In 1997, the church bought some acreage on Alexander Street in Hillsboro. There were many government layers of fun bureaucracy, but eventually we were able to start building. Well, it actually took several years.

We finally moved into our own place in the fall of 2002! We’ve seen God’s faithfulness and it has been such a joy to see the church grow and prosper as God’s Word is taught.
