Commons At Dawson Creek

I lived at the Dawson Creek apartments for only 10 months but I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone. In that ten months our utility bills where raised three times and right before we moved out they gave us notice that the rent was going to increase by $ 200 if we stayed. Also they allowed one of my roommates out the lease he had signed for our apartment without notice leaving us in the lurch to find a quick replacement. Then they pressured us to pay him his deposit back though we were not legally obligated as termed by the lease. And then when myself and two remaining roommates moved out for good, their bank allowed one of my roommates to cash out the entire deposit refund check even though the check was made out to all three people who supposedly had to all be present and sign for that check to be cashed. When I confronted the management staff about this they acknowledged that it was their mistake but that their corporate office had decided to do nothing to help remedy the mistake. They were rude and dismissive and obviously we’re unconcerned about the welfare of their tenants or previous ones. I would strongly discourage anyone from doing business with this apartment unit and the property management company that owns several of these complexes.

Apartments are nice, with the exception of minor fixtures here and there! Area is quiet in general but if living on the first floor, walls and ceilings are pretty thin (not sound proof nor noise resistance) therefore you can clearly hear footsteps, movements and whatever else from the top tenants! Certain tenants can be loud when running up and down the stairs and slamming their doors! Be cautious of that! Other than that, Commons at Dawson Creek is a nice place to reside at in a nice neighborhood!
