The food was good. Not many options but enough to make a good delicious plate if you know what good sauces to add. Price of $ 9.45 and comes with soup, rice, and ice cream. The service was really bad and the bathrooms were disgusting.

Nice alternative to the long lines and overpriced plates at Changs. Only wish the cook would move all faster and sometimes our noodles are over cooked(burnt) and so the whole fish ends up being fairly dry. It’s not the best layout and they stack the dirty dishes in bus tubs right infront of the grill. One trick is to tell the cook to not use water and is waters down your sauces and make your noodles bland.

This is not a fancy place… but it is quick and very tasty. Service was good. A good place to get lunch when working in the field on a rainy day.

Honestly I like the food, it tastes good but the next day man your in pain. Your stomach is just going to be fucked for days. Also the worst part is seeing the Asian owners staring you down when your eating and getting food! They rush you and are super rude and whenever you want more of something they don’t like it. After your first plate they keep coming to ask you to pay. Thought it would be a better idea to do take out so I didn’t have to see there faces and can eat peacefully but no they had a problem with that too. I got one kids and one adults to go and they told me I couldn’t get a kids because they don’t believe a kid is going to eat at home. Wtf! Why do they care who’s eating it. You just get one less bowl of you get kids. What’s the big deal and FYI I do have a child! And they didn’t give me cookies because they thought I took too much food in one bowl! That’s my choice how much I can fit in my bowl not theirs! Weird! But anyways food is good just not the attitude of the owners!

I absolutely love going here with my family! We have been coming here since I was a little girl and my grandma took us, and now that she’s passed, my mom continues the tradition with our kids. They are a family run company and always so welcoming and happy to see us. The food prep is swift and tastes delicious! My kids love to watch the chefs prepare the food, which makes it a lot of fun. If you’re looking for a hidden gem — this is it!

I’ve been coming here for years and I am done with it. The quality has been declining and I am sick of feeling like they just want your money and for you to leave. I didn’t even get finished eating my first plate and the server was trying to take it and bring me the check. With so much good food in the area skip this place.

We love this type of restaurant! Glad it’s close and usually we can get a quick table. Service isn’t great, and my drink has come in a dirty glass more than once.

The food here is good, most mongolian grills are. The thing that makes this rate above 3 stars, I really wish you could do a half star is that service. We did not know what time they closed and so we walked in 45 minutes before closing. They happily seated us, they helped us like it was days until closing. They were wonderful.

This place reminds me of any typical Mongolian restaurant. The owner was kind to us when we came in 30 minutes before closing. She was not hesitant or reluctant at all. She did advise us to get as much food as we wanted right away. The food is good, and typical as stated. The restaurant did not seem to have air conditioning on a 96 degree day. This was a bit disappointing especially since they have the very hot grill. They serve ice cream at the end of the meal which is a nice treat. The prices are comparable to other buffets.

Yup, A-OK definitely hits the nail on the head of this joint. It’s similar to pretty much every Mongolian joint with it’s own plus and minuses. It’s in a strip mall with a janky parking lot. As in pothole laden. The décor is nothing super fancy, but has the standard Mongolian mural on the wall. You get your choice of soup — egg flower or hot & sour. Both are okay, the egg flower definitely needs a shot of soy to make slightly less bland. The buffet has the usual meat — beef, chicken,(tiny) shrimp, lamb & cod(I believe). My beef here with with the beef — the pieces are HUGE. Even cooked down the slices are way too big to fit in your mouth. Break those bad boys in half! The selection of veggies seems, and tastes, pretty fresh. No surprises with the sauces & cooking process. My advice — load up on the sauce! Much to bland without enough of it. Also the bowls are smaller than places like Chang’s so either two bowl it or pack it in tightly. Service is very polite and quick on water and soda refills. So basically, not a bad choice if you’re really hungry.

Typical Mongolian place. Not the best, not the worst, above average though. I go hear a lot for team gatherings and once or twice every other month. All you can eat for about $ 10 bucks. I douse my food with sauces because I know they put water on the dish to keep it from burning so my meals come out great. You literally make your own plate so the people complaining about tasteless dishes, it’s partially your fault. It’s a family restaurant, so expect to have some young-ins holding up the line etc. Typical of any buffet, not insane waits though, the cooks are thorough and quick. Owners and workers are nice, they know us as regulars at this point by the amount of business they get from Intel haha. Only thing for dessert is ice cream, which is delicious, but I wish they had some chinese donuts here though, most mongolian places I go to normally have them.

When we first moved up to the Portland area in 1994, there was a lovely Mongolian restaurant out in Beaverton on Hall Blvd at Cedar Hills called«Fong’s Mongolian». Everything was fresh, never frozen, sauces were excellent and home-made, just, top of the game. Sadly they went out of business shortly thereafter. Not really sure why as their food was consistently the best Mongolian I’d ever eaten. Ever since, I’ve been trying to find a Mongolian Barbecue place that can compete – or even come close for that matter. Wife N. and I found ourselves in the neighborhood today and decided to swing through for a late lunch. Saturday, 2:30pm. We were quickly seated(there were perhaps only 10 customers in the place). I and the wife were brought the customary bowl of egg flower soup and we went through the line for our food. As is pretty typical of Mongolian places, they had an array of beef, chicken/turkey, lamb, pork, some cod and shrimp, along with ten or so veggies and an array of sauces to choose from. When I dine Mongolian, especially when it’s an off-peak time, I just keep the bowls small so I can make multiple passes and try different items. Beef first, then maybe fish, then shrimp perhaps. We loaded up our bowls, got them cooked, and headed back to the table. The food was tasteless. I mean, literally – I like mine spiced up a bit, and added a fair amount of hot oil and a spoon of the dark red peppers, and still it was like«where’s the flavor?» Wife had the same issue. At second pass we saw the problem: despite that I’d put a reasonable amount of oil, garlic, and other«wet stuff» in the bowls, the cook was constantly pouring water on it. Now, I’ve seen the cooks occasionally do this elsewhere, but this guy went through like a pint of water on each dish — so every bit of flavor was just being vaporized and sent up the vents. It’s nothing that some Sriracha couldn’t help(thankfully there was some at the table) but really I shouldn’t have to drown a Mongolian meal in cock-sauce just to get some flavor. Egg flower soup was terribly bland. Semi-Gelatinous, and just… man, it was hard to describe, just lacked flavor. Soy sauce improved it to the point of edibility. The best thing there was the ice cream they served at the end, but it wasn’t enough to redeem the dish. I had to laugh out loud – on my third pass U2’s «I Still Haven’t Found… What I’m Looking For» was playing. Yeah, that about sums it up. There is absolutely nothing here that stands out from the crowd of Mongolian places. Very average-to-sub-par. «Meh, I’ve experienced better»…Almost everywhere else.

Been here a couple of time for weekday lunches as its close to my office. This is a buffet place during both Lunch and Dinner. Its all you can eat Mongolian grill with different choices of meat like beef, pork, chicken and seafood. Their selection of vegeatbles is also good. They serve a soup to begin with and a softserve icecream at the end. Its good value for $ 9 during lunch. The place gets crowded quickly during lunch and the place doesn’t have proper air ducts to suck the smoke generated from the grill which usually seeps into the dining area. You also need to be a little careful as the cook at the grill sometimes screws up the order and gives you somebody else’s food. My friend and I experienced this once as my friend who is vegetarian got some meat dish which he didnt bring to the grill. He had to go back to fill his bowls again :(. Also, the place looks pretty old n dark. It could be a little cleaner. These are the only gripes i have otherwise the food is decent.

Typical Mongolian BBQ spot. This place would give any of its food-court counterparts a run for their money. All you can eat for less than $ 10. I went on a Wednesday night and it was pretty crowded so it took about 15 minutes to get my food, get it cooked, then back to my table. I should’ve copied all the people ahead of me and overstuffed 3 separate bowls with food so I wouldn’t have to go back for seconds. — Good selection of meats, seafood, and veggies. — Lots of sauces to dump on your food. — Vanilla soft serve to round off your meal.

I love this place, mostly because I am fan of Mongolian barbecue… Excellent choice of meats and their hot and sour soup goes great with the food. Great place for lunch and close to work. Make sure you beat the lunch time rush and don’t forget to try the hot and sour soup.

This is an all you can eat Mongolian grill. The people are friendly and the service is pretty quick when you first get there. Refills on drinks are hard to come by, however. I learned after visiting a few times that one bowl is not enough when your meat is frozen(yes …frozen, which really denigrates the flavor.) It is in little rolls as it was sliced off the piece in that manner, which is good for them, as less meat takes up more room in your bowl. I noticed that most folks use two bowls, one for the meat, one for veggies. I do that now, as well. I like that they have both green onions and cut onions… and lots of garlic. I love garlic. It’s great for a quick but hot lunch that can be as healthy as you like, depending on your choices. It’s not fine dining, but you can have a good conversation, as the place is quiet and the booths dampen sound. I really hate having to scream or lean way forward to hear due to the use of all hard surfaces.

This place, although similar to Changs Mongolian Grill– much better. Why you ask, the food is about comparble but the service is the upmost reason I rate this little place. Family owned and operated. The little Asian guy that greets you is funny and very personable! I can’t wait to make return trip!
