Great family fun, or a nice stroll with your honey. Lots of booths to suit everyone’s tastes. Art, soap, jewelry, berries and veggies, handmade dog sweaters, crafted items, etc. Not to mention all the food carts/tents, and musical entertainment. There’s also face painting and a balloon guy to appease the younger crowds. Most of the participants take credit cards, but definitely take cash so you don’t miss out on the ones that don’t!

Stopped in to check out the market(saw a banner in one of the shopping complexes down Cornell Road). What a pleasant scene!!! I went near the opening time: — parking was very easy – found a spot on the street about a block away, pleasant walk over — 1 section was like a food court, and lots of folks were buying food for a picnic dinner on the adjacent lawn — musicians were setting up on the lawn(I was too early) and they were setting up a stage at the other end of the market — there were several craft vendors – jewelery, soap, scarves, fabric crafts, etc — nice large section of fruits and vegetables all looking wonderful. I had to get some Oregon berries! — Vendors are also selling other food products like honey, jam, bread, hummus… I bought a raspberry empanada which was delicious Very peaceful and pleasant vibe on a gorgeous afternoon. Go check it out!

A fun evening out in the summer. Listen to some good music, munch on some tasty food, pick up some fresh produce and maybe pick up something from a craft booth. And enjoy the people watching. Enjoy it.

I LOVE that Hillsboro has not only the Saturday Market, but this Tuesday Market too. First of all it brings so many members of the community together. There is something so quaint and old-world about that. Second, Hillsboro and the surrounding areas have some amazing farms, and to be able to buy fresh produce from so many different local farms in one place is such a blessing! The local artists/crafters are also incredible! I am really impressed with the variety of goods sold here. And a shout out to the lovely British baker gal! You, my dear, are a very nice addition to the market! I love your accent, I love your friendly demeanor… but most of I ADORE your baking! If you served your goods to me on a plate, I would lick it clean! Please… don’t leave! Often there is live music during this event as well which adds such a nice ambiance to the whole affair. Last year there as this group of guys drumming on buckets that were really entertaining… even if they weren’t the official paid entertainment for the event. Finally, I love the fresh HOT food served from all the food carts and tents. It gives the event that carnival feel.

It is wonderful to be able to walk out my back door and experience the sights, sounds and smells of the Tuesday Market. From Asian cuisine to kettle corn, the food is wonderful. The music ranges from the Bee Gees to Crooners of the Frank Sinatra era. I also get to see exhibits from Martial Arts Demonstrations to Classic Cars. If anyone has not had the opportunity to visit the Tuesday Market, you are missing a wonderful event.

This is such a HUGE part of what summer is all about here in the über burbs. Always live music. always talented, and it really doesn’t matter if you are into the genre because the energy is always so darn good. The food selection is varied — everything from Himalayan to curry to pakistani has made an appearance. Of course, if you are not adventurous, Ochoas is a local favorite and won’t disappoint. Primrose and Tumbleweeds has a beer and wine booth, but feel free to enter their shop to browse and buy — they will pour your selection in a cup and send you on your way to stroll for everything you don’t need. Just good clean family fun… singles, your evening won’t be too shabby either. Support all that is local!

Wow… the Tuesday Market was hopping last night. Whoever is marketing to the teenagers – it’s working! It was great to see such a huge age range and everyone having such a fantastic time. Great selection of food vendors(I had the wood-fired pizza) and Trouble Makers was rocking the stage. The people – and dog – watching was fantastic. Apparently the Bonnie Hays shelter was sponsoring Dogs on Parade last night. It was complete with a few dogs in tiaras and tutus. Hilarious!
