I only like to buy liquor at Bottle King because I think that there prices are unbeatable. They also have a great variety of wine from different countries.
I would’t recommend purchasing chips and soda from Bottle king since it is overpriced.

Very bad experience with BK Hillsborough and will never shop at this location again. Found the manager Blake to be a complete jerk and disrespectful. He knows nothing about wine nor liquor. Completely wasted my time over the course of two weeks regarding some items I had ordered. I was a regular weekend customer buying expensive Cali cabs and so on… no longer. Try Gary’s across the street, MUCH better customer service.

Moved to the country. (Hillsborough is not suburbia, it’s rural America with a bunch of strip malls). Needed beers because there is nothing to do here.
Filled my fridge. There is no room for food now. I was impressed with the craft beer selection and stocked up on Magic Hat, Brooklyn Summer, River Horse, land shark, Abita and a few others. Yes, I have a problem but no drinking and driving, Internet!!!
I also was impressed with the wine. If you get their free membership card, you get discounts on select items. I saved $ 40 and that was awesome!
The layout of the store is easy to navigate. There is a cheese bar up front with some samples available. There are also some wine specials up front. Wines are sorted by red & white. I was impressed by the number of screw top wines — they retain flavor a little better than corked.
The beer is in the back — and they have your standard fare along with a wide variety of craft. If you’re in Hillsborough, stop here.

Price and selection, selection and price ! Yes, that sums it up. You’re going to get a higher end selection at a place like Wine Library but this place does a great job on the basics. Note: it’s bigger and has more than the Chatham store. Get a membership card!

I had to ask for a bag, but I don’t think it was intentional. There are several steps to checking out — maybe counting change took precedence:). At any rate they offered a huge selection and I was happy to find a nice bottle of Cabernet on sale. It can be a bit overwhelming if you’re like me and want to try everything. So if you’re passing through NJ like I am — this is a diversion worth taking!

Average selection of liquor and beer, but a great selection of wine… though I’m not a wine fan.
Cheese counter was recently added, so you can now buy some cheese while there, and the place also has a humidor. This specific Bottle King is slowly working it’s way towards being much more than a liquor store, but it’s still not quite five-​star material, mainly due to the lacking of niche liquors or wines.

Crappy beer selection. Great wine selection. Go to Petrocks across the street (Amwell) instead — Petrocks has a great beer selection and a very good wine selection as well — besides, wouldn’t you rather support the little guy than the mega-​chain?

Bottle King has a great liquor, wine and beer selection. I can always find several bottles of the type of wine I am looking for and at very reasonable prices. I never realized how extensive their beer selection was too. I am a great fan of craft beers and Bottle King has a wonderful selection of small breweries all the way up to the larger companies. There’s always a lot people working so even when there are long lines, they go by quickly.

Holy Cow, you Jersey Unilocaler’s don’t Unilocal — I know NJ is the forgotten State, (I’d be bitter too if I had to travel to NY or PA for an Elite Event…) but OMFG — when you don’t share this Ab Fab Liquor Giant, you are just doing a disservice to Mankind !!!
Wow, I thought I found my liquid gold at reasonable prices at Joe Canal’s on Rt 1 in Priceton… well Bottle King puts Joe to shame.
Free membership gets you the sale price — they even had me in the system from years ago.
So why so much love for the Bottle King?
Well, they’re just that… The King, selling my Knight’s Valley for $ 14.99.
That’s right kids — $ 14.99.
Joe Canal’s had it for $ 19.99 and I almost piddled.
God, I love NJ for several reasons.
