Went to Kevin’s for a safety check.
Kevin told me my head lights were not DOT approved, he was right and that I needed to replace them. I thought I could do it myself, after thinking on it, I realized I had better let Kevin’s do it.
I brought the head lights and hardware to Kevin’s for install. The price for installing the lights I brought in came to 294.00 just for labor. OK. When it came time to use my newly installed lights they shined every place except on the road.
I came back to Kevin’s the next day and explained that the lights he installed need to be adjusted so they shine on the road. Kevin told me that would be an «additional fee».
I paid $ 294 for labor (as I brought in my lights) and there is going to be an additional fee to make sure they shine on the road. That’s a bit much and not safe.
I refrain from leaving negative comments/​feedback, so I called Kevin’s to be clear on there position. I was told that «we put the new lights in the same place as the old ones»
So although Kevin seems like a nice enough fellow Kevin’s Auto earned a 1 star from me. Sorry… Not much ALOHA from my point of view. Please let me know if I am being unreasonable to expect the head lights to be adjusted along with paying to have them installed.

It’s been 3 mos since the repair was completed by Kevin’s Auto Repair and the review and I have had no problems whatsover with any of the workmanship that they performed! Kevin’s Auto Repair is an excellent choice for automotive repairs for those living in or around Hilo, Hawaii.

A huge pleasure to find an honest, fair priced auto repair shop. If you are looking for someone to do your repairs, I highly recommend Kevin’s Auto to get it fixed and get you back on the road.
