Finish Line Car Wash And Express Lube

As a general rule I don’t write reviews of places I’ve visited unless I feel it’s a complete rip off. I finally found one in Hixson and this is it. I don’t expect perfection but when something is obviously dirty you really need to clean it, regardless. This is the second and last chance I’m giving them. Lesson learned, I’ll just clean it myself next time.

Exterior wash was super. Interior, not so much. They failed to vacuum under the seats at all, left grass in the cup holder, and generally did a crappy job. There were 4 of them working on a little Prius, you think they cold have gotten the job done!

My car was in desperate need of a good cleaning, inside and out. I have passed by this place twice a day every day on my way to work for nearly two years. I decided to give these guys a shot and getting my car looking shiny and new again. They didn’t disappoint me.
The basics of this car wash are the same as most of the self-​serve places, you drive a car in and it’s pulled along a track while it’s scrubbed and washed by various machines. In the beginning, a couple of guys use some brushes to get the tough stuff off. At the end, it’s still blown dry by air, but then you have a couple of guys towel dry it off, open the doors, do inside the door jams and all the other stuff the mechanicals miss.
Then it’s off to the other side where a guy details the interior… cleaning all the windows, the seats, vacuums it out and I paid the extra few bucks to have the car mats shampooed. The day I showed up, they were having a hand wax special for only $ 19.99. So, in addition to the car wash, I opted to go with the hand wax too.
They have a nice waiting room full of windows so that you can see your car being washed and cleaned (the wax booth is still kind of visible, but not easily). There are comfortable chairs and a TV to watch. There are also a few computers connected to the internet that you can use for free. If you’re hungry or thirsty, they have a couple of vending machines as well.
In all, it took them about 45 minutes to wash, wax, and detail the interior of my car. When they were done, my car was shiny again. I was pretty happy with the job that they did. There were some spots missed on cleaning the inside, but considering how dirty it was before, that’s not too shabby.
I will definitely give these guys another shot next time it needs a waxing. Maybe they’ll have that special going on again!
