Haru Salon and Spa

I found Haru a few months ago and had considered going to them for my next hair cut in the spring. Finally March hit and I took the plunge and am glad I did! Min did my cut and color. He gave me his opinions about the style and coloring I wanted and executed it beautifully. The salon feels very open and beautiful. The girl who did my shampoo was gentle but effective — I was totally in jelly-​mode afterwards! Everyone was very nice and I plan on coming back!

I’ve been seeing Jen for facials for the last 8 years. I’ve moved out of state and still make the hour trip to see her once a month. Not only does she give the most thorough facial (I used to have acne which is now under control thanks to her) but she has such an attention to detail with the experience that my stress melts away. I can’t recommend her enough and don’t trust my skin care to anyone else!

You simply can not get a better facial in New Jersey than one with Jen Danish! A most thorough cleaning, combined with high-​end and effective creams, serums and masks to decrease fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation — of which I have all. My skin has, undoubtedly, improved tenfold since having these facials with Jen. Unbelievable, quite frankly, until you experience the difference. Back, neck hand and/​or foot massages are all part of her equation for a very happy client. Simply, the best.

My hair is almost black and the color usually comes out brassy etc, but Matthew worked miracles! The lob cut is picture perfect as well. It’s been a long time since I loved my hairstyle but I am in love now Matthew is an artist and amazing at his craft!

I have been going to Haru for almost a year now and each time I go it’s an experience like no other! I leave the salon happy with how my hair came out every time I go in there! Jackie at Haru has been the bet stylist to ever touch my hair. I am picky and always nervous and very critical about how my hair will come out. I have never been able to find a colorist that does my hair the exact color of the picture that I show her! I highly recommend her to anyone who feels they have a tricky color to achieve – I am a customer for life !

I have never loved how my hair looks so much! It was the first time I colored my hair but I was not nervous at all after seeing the reviews and pictures of min’s work. I got a haircut and hair painting by Min and he made my hair look incredible! I could not believe it. The color and cut came out perfect. He is also the nicest guy. The receptionist and other stylists were all so kind and professional, and the salon is beautifully decorated. Will definitely be back for touch ups.

I contacted the salon with great trepidation because I recently had so many poor «hair» experiences. However, good fortune rained down on me as I was introduced to Min, who turned out to be a phenomenal hair stylist. As a person who had zero hair one year ago today due to intense chemotherapy treatment, it was a pleasure to have someone turn my crazy hair into something chic and recognizable and to give me the the time to explain how to handle my new haircut. I would highly recommend the salon and Min to anyone who reads this! Two thumbs up!

I got my hair done at Haru for the first time today and I got a 5-​star treatment the whole time I was there. I made my appointment with Min after doing some research and finding that I loved his work. He was honest during my consultation and I really liked how he gave me many options to choose from in order to achieve the look that I wanted. He had great suggestions and he was extremely friendly. He stayed after closing to make sure I got the color and cut I wanted. I will be returning to Haru to see Min again in the future and I already have a wedding consultation scheduled with them for my upcoming wedding.

wow what a great experience! Min did my hair and I’m so happy with the way it came out. A little pricey but well worth it. Will definitely come back.

Ever since I moved from San Francisco, I have been looking for someone that can manage my hair… Well I finally found him!!! Peter is simply amazing… This is the second time that he’s cut and colored my hair… It looks amazing…

I was skeptical initially to try this salon, as I loved my previous hair dresser in NYC but now as I moved I had to find someone new. I went to Haru’s after reading all reviews, and I must say all reviews are very true. I am so pleased to have found this salon. I got hair cut with Peter, he carefully listens what you want and gives you the best style. He is truely an artist. Also, the receptionist was very friendly and was able to accommodate me at my timings with very short notice. This is definitely going to be my hair place from now!

I went in a little over a week ago and had my hair done by Peter. He did an amazing job fixing my previous color and was very attentive to my concerns and any questions I had. He also told me how to maintain my color so that it would hold over until I’m back in NJ for the next time I go in to Haru. I’ve gotten so many compliments and I love my new hair! I went in this past Saturday and had my haircut by Peter. He spent a very long time cutting my (very difficult to cut) hair. He was my third attempt to get my hair fixed in a month. Although my hair looked great after he cut it, I gave him a very hard time because I felt he took too much off and that it would be a disaster when I tried to do it. I left kind of miserable which was very apparent to him. PETER — I want you to know that I take back everything I said and I apologize for my miserable attitude when I left. When I got home both my husband and mom said it looked great and when I did it myself the next day I realized that he gave me such a great cut that I’m actually able to do myself. When you have a great cut, you can do it yourself effortlessly. I apologize and I hope you’ll take me back because I plan on returning!

I was visiting my boyfriend’s family this weekend and desperately needed a haircut. After searching and searching for anyone that had availability, I stumbled upon this Unilocal page and gave them a call with my fingers crossed. Pure luck! I got an 11am appointment on a Saturday morning. I’m sure it was a tight squeeze because the salon seemed quite busy. When I arrived, I was seated to have my hair washed and met my hair dresser, Melissa. She asked me what I wanted done and I explained to her how it had been so difficult to get a good cut for my thick curly hair, and also that my scalp had been problematic. She suggested a few tips for my shampoo and conditioning at home, and made sure the girl washing my hair used the appropriate products. Melissa’s attention to detail immediately had me impressed. While I was sitting in her chair we talked about countless things, especially how to care for curly hair! Her approach was honest and informing. Not once did I feel like I was being force fed a product they used in house, but rather that she understood my frustration and really wanted to help! She explained every step of the way why she was cutting my hair the way she was, from how it would frame my face to what pieces were layered and why. ⁵⁄₅ Melissa was a saving grace and extremely skillful stylist. Will come again!

The Haru Salon is so beautiful and I cannot say enough about Peter. He is truly a master at his craft, but more importantly he listens so carefully to you and takes such care to give you what you want and need. I walked in to the salon with over lightened and shapeless hair. I walked out with a new base color and great highlights and a «perfect for my face and lifestyle» haircut. Can’t wait for my next appointment!

Asked for a subtle, natural ombré and that exactly what I got! Min executed exactly what I asked for and also gave great suggestions. I’ve never met such a talented hair stylist. He treats it like an art, knowing exactly how to work one’s hair based on their texture, face shape, style, etc. Also such a beautiful salon!

I love my new hair! Min knew exactly what I wanted to do with my hair. He was very considerate of my face structure will go through the process step by step to make you feel comfortable.
