Kure Pilates

I’ve been practicing Pilates for over 8 years now, from NYC to Boston and Dallas. The staff at Kure is by far the least pretentious and most knowledgeable I have encountered to date. My sessions have been challenging and educational without the trauma of some of the other sports I participate in. Because the art of Pilates is restorative in nature and focuses so much on the core (which is the epicenter of all your muscles) I have become a better athlete overall. 14 moths post partum and I am finishing first in my 30+ person Equinox spin classes. I attribute it to all of the core training I have done at Kure. The studio is clean, convenient and best of all delivers results!

I began taking private sessions twice a week with Krysta a year ago. I was suffering from chronic back and neck pain as well as needed overall strength training. My body never felt better after pilates sessions at Kure. My only regret is not starting sooner. Krysta is patient, upbeat a world of knowledge and made my sessions fun. I was nervous about doing pilates as I had never taken a class before. Krysta put me completely at ease. She is a miracle worker and is extraordinary at what she does! My body never felt better and she had me doing things I never imagined I could do. I’ve also had sessions with Lory, who is equally as amazing as Krysta. Her positive attitude about life and helping people is contagious. You will feel better just talking to her.

I used to go all the way to Chelsea for private pilates classes and was thrilled when Kure opened up in Hoboken. Although the old studio was much closer to my apartment, the new studio has more space and tons of light. I currently do duet sessions and the instructors do a great job of mixing it up so the classes are never boring and always challenging. They’ve always been really flexible with scheduling my appointments which I really appreciate because my work/​travel hours are all over the place. Would definitely recommend the studio to anyone looking to try a new workout.

Kure pilates is an amazing place in so many ways. The facilities are open and inviting, and well maintained. I have been going to the studio since they first opened in Hoboken, and have nothing but praise for the training and professionalism that embodies all aspects of the business. Kyrsta Johnson has been my instructor from the beginning, and I have found her to be patient, helpful, and well informed on all aspects of Pilates. With her gentle and firm encouragement, I have found that my body feels much more flexible and in shape. If I could, I would go every day but sadly, I cannot. There is a true sense of caring and personalized training. I would give it a 5 star rating in all areas.

I’ve been going to Kure since the fall and absolutely love it! My body feels stronger and longer. I really feel the difference when doing other activities. My endurance is much greater. I’ve worked out with a few different instructors and have had positive experiences with each. Their schedule is great and you’ll most often find someone available. There’s also a great vibe there. Everyone is super nice and helpful.

Kure Pilates is simply amazing. When I moved to Hoboken I was wondering if I’d find a stuido I’d like after doing pilates for 2 years. Kure pilates exceeded my expectations.

— all their instructors are amazing (I normally see Lory and Amanda — who are fantastic! But whenever I see other instructors they’re always great too!).
— They have kept me injury free (and with my hyper-​mobility this can be a challenge)

— They not only offer the standard pilates classes, but they are always refreshing their class options and keep things fun.
Another plus is that the space is great. Absolutely recommend this place!

Kure is the best! I started with a series of private reformer sessions about 8 months ago, and have been hooked ever since. I was new to Pilates, and the instructors made sure to make me feel comfortable yet challenged. The semi-​private classes are limited to three people, and have a really personal feel. Semi-​private and mat sessions with Amanda are an amazing workout, I definitely recommend. My body has become much leaner and stronger, my posture has improved, and I feel all around better. Before starting at Kure I thought Pilates was a laid back workout, but that is not the case here. I leave class sweating and work areas and muscles I never knew I had, but the results are worth it.
I used to belong to a big gym in Hoboken, mainly for the classes offered, but after starting at Kure I cancelled my membership. The classes at Kure fits any schedule, I get a great hour workout each time I go, and the discount for booking a package of classes is totally worth it. Definitely try Kure if you are looking for a Pilates studio in Hoboken– you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been taking classes at Kure Pilates since November 2014. Prior to Kure Pilates, I had taken classes elsewhere but it was a much different experience. I love the intimate and communal feel of the studio. I enjoy taking the semi-​private classes where you get hands on training with adjustments and proper alignment. All of the instructors are extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with… plus they have a little spunk to them! :) I am now pregnant and have been taking their pre-​natal classes.
