Established in 2011.

Throughout my career, I have embraced three core principles — hard work, determination and relationship building. I also strongly believe in a willingness to take chances and get in on the ground floor of exciting new business ventures. After much personal success in the real estate industry, I began looking for a way to help others to launch their dream projects. I found what I was looking for in Mission 50 Workspaces. Every day, I receive such positive feedback from members, drop-​ins and visitors on Mission 50’s vibe and concept. I love hearing that we’ve created an environment in which people are living out their dreams and adding to Hoboken’s vibrancy. As an entrepreneur and business owner, I could not be happier.

I feel torn about Mission 50. I just started working from Mission 50 because I wanted to support a local business (since I live in Hoboken). I want this situation to work out. But the location of the space really sucks. The day I was going to tour the space, I was 50 steps to the door and literally almost turned around because the location was so bad and I wasn’t sure if I could deal with it. There’s still a very good chance I’ll leave unless I hear they’re planning on moving.
Why is the location so bad? 1) No lunch options. Sure, you can get food delivered and that’s what almost everyone ends up doing. But I like using my lunch break to get out and get some fresh air. You have to walk at least 10 minutes to get to anything decent. 2) Difficult to get clients or guests to come here. It’s a good 15 – 20 minute walk from the PATH station. Basically unless your clients are driving here, don’t expect them to meet you at Mission 50. 3) The building sucks. Come on – Hoboken is literally the most walkable city in America (according to
) and the only entrance to the building is through the parking lot. I’m certainly more of a pedestrian/​cycling activist than the average person but this really bothers me. 4) It’s in the absolute southwest corner of Hoboken. In order to better serve Hoboken, it should be in a more central, accessible location. I live near 10th and Willow and it doesn’t take me much longer to get to co-​working spaces near Port Authority Bus Terminal than Mission 50…
I would pay 25−50% more to be on or near Washington St between 5th St and the PATH station. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mission 50 had significantly more interest in membership if they were located in a better location. With Jet (
) moving to Hoboken, there’s a great opportunity this upcoming year for build a tech hub here and Mission 50 could be a part of that if it was closer to the PATH station.
I’m going to try to stick it out. Maybe I’ll just learn to deal with the sucky location. We’ll see…

What can i say? It’s creative. It’s collaborative. It’s inspiring. It’s a helluva lot better than Starbucks, and well worth the price of admission.
I started working here 2 years ago, and it has propelled my business in ways i never could imagine. Definitely a game-​changer. What’s great is that you are surrounded by other entrepreneurs in a variety of fields (strategy, marketing, tech, biz development, etc.) and you can share your troubles, or brainstorm for new ideas, in a collaborative, creative and work-​friendly atmosphere. It’s the best thing i could have done for my start-​up business, thank god it exists.
Oh — and the owner is mad cool.
