Great service and food! One star missing because all of my family thought every dish was just a tad too salty. Great atmosphere though.

Cant believe this place closed! Very close to the path, very convenient. I’ve only been here for drinks. Drinks are really strong and the ‘hurricane’ drink will have you falling over in no time. Wait staff is good, you dont have to wait an hour for someone to help you. Good setup and pool tables in the back.

Oddfellows is a great little place right by where you get off the path and light rail, its a great place to start or end your night on your adventures in hoboken, Its always less crowded then the other bars around, but that is actually a plus most the time. There is a little open area people either just hang in or start dancing in, the food is good, the service is good, the beer is good, the prices are good for Hoboken and cheaper then the other bars around it in general. They have a few pool tables in the back to enjoy, a nice little dart board, a seating area to enjoy a meal at as well in the other rooms. If the weather is nice there is a nice little outdoor patio area that’s always nice in and just enjoy a beer. Mikes Final Word Good place to go to unwind at the end of the night or easy into at the start of one, not the type of place you get the people that get all dressed up to go to Hoboken to go to, a more laid back feel too it but over great!

Oddfellows was a blast, I didn’t eat so I couldn’t give 5 stars. The drinks were good(strong, just the way I like)…The bartenders are cool, the manager is the best. They have karaōke on Wednesdays(I think), you can play pool on one of 3 tables, and they have a nice outdoor section in the back for smoking or just being outside. I’ll be back and this time I will sample the pub fare.

I’m not sure if I can give less than 1 star. My husband and I went there for dinner last weekend with another couple and wanted to sit outside to eat. We went in, told a waitress and she quickly said, «Oh, that’s not my section!» We asked if it was ok to eat out there still and she said sure, fine. OK. So we sat out there, waited 45 minutes and weren’t even brought menus. Nothing. The waitress knew we were out there; she even looked out the window at us. Yet nothing. So off we went… Very sad because I was really, really looking forward to trying this place for quite a while. Maybe I’ll give it another go, but I’m not sure. There’s no excuse for terrible service; actually NO service, when the place isn’t even busy. Pretty sad.

When my friends and I do brunch this is the place we choose. They start your meal with delicious cornbread and then give you a choice of HUGE salads! Usually I am reluctant to order salad in a restaurant because its not satisfying. However, not at Oddfellows. The salads are a great meal option. Anyone who comes in from out of town I suggest to go there and they are always happy with my reference. The waitresses there are excellent. Very attentive and sweet. I’ve been there a number of times for Kareoke. The guy who runs it is fun, nice and the crowd is energetic. There are so many options for people who want to go there for a fun night out: darts, pool, outdoor area on nice days. The bartenders are cool and down to earth and treat you like family.

I really enjoyed this place. We sat out front and people watched, which was nice. I had the seafood jambalaya. It was really good and twice that amount of food necessary. I ate all the seafood and some rice and took the remainder of the rice home. My boyfriend ate the leftover rice for lunch the next day and said t was awesome. He had a trio taster: chicken/sausage jambalaya, craw-fish ettouffe(sp?), and gumbo. They were great but the chix/sausage jambalaya wasn’t as good as the seafood. :) We will go back.

Ordered a shrimp po boy to take home, came with jazz fries(waffle fries) and I ordered a side of cornbread. The shrimp po boy was good, not too much mayo, the bread was good and the shrimp were medium sized and there was a lot of them in the sandwich. The standout was a few slices of lightly pickled cucumber, really added a nice freshness to the sandwich and made the sandwich special. Waffle fries were fine. I didn’t really like the corn bread, I found it to be very sweet. I was a little sick after the meal, but I’m not sure this is attributed to the food, so 3 stars for now and I will definitely try this place again.

Crawfish boil! Closest thing to a Bourbon St party bar/resto…I remember(well, kinda remember) gettin splased here for their Madri Gras parties in 2007, 2008, 2009… it got hella messy. Dixie beers all up in mah veins, sloppy hoboken chicks flashing me for my dope beads… ahhh, good times. Its way more sedate than Texas Arizona, next door, so it was a good place to pre-game the Unilocal event. $ 2.50 draft beers… oh how I hate you… hate all 4 of you in the ½hour we met. What the fug happened to their gator bites?! I used to destroy them when I got drunk.

You know, I like this place. I know it’s near the PATH and probably gets filled up with the typical Jersey peeps on the weekend, but I’ve only been on a week day during odd hours and so my experience has been pleasant. When I used to work at Wiley over on River Street(about 6 years ago) I used to come here for a liquid lunch or even the po’boy sandwich(loved that thing). I stopped here yesterday for a few drinks before heading over to a Unilocal event at the Turtle Club and had a grand olé time. Solid bar in Hoboken.

This place is really great. I hadn’t had any good Southern food since I was in Atlanta last time, but apparently, I can get it in Hoboken! I came with a large group of people and the service was very accomodating. When they dropped the meal of one of our posse members, they replaced and comped it for him. The food was really great. The cornbread they put on the table was outstanding, as was my blackened chicken po’boy. I appreciate any restaurant with good cole slaw. A unique aspect of Oddfellows is the indoor swing! I definitely needed to hop on that and, of course, got a picture. I don’t get down to Hoboken much, even though it’s so close to Manhattan, but I would make the trip for Oddfellows.

I love New Orleans and I love its food. Is Oddfellow’s just as good as the real thing? No, but it’s good enough! Beers are good, burger was very good, BBQ wings are awesome. I love coming here. Only downside: service is hit or miss and the Hurricanes are way too weak. Real Hurricanes are super strong.

Last couple of times it has been OK but not as good as it used to be. Change in Chef perhaps?

Stopped in with a group for dinner. I hadn’t been to Oddfellows in quite a few years. My single, hanging out in Hoboken days are long gone. The Buffalo wings appetizer was great. The basket of cornbread was warm and fresh. For my entrée I had the Big Easy burger. I really liked it. It was a ¾ lb. burger on a large toasted English muffin. The burger was cooked perfectly and was soo juicy. One of the best burgers that I have tasted in recent memory. The waffle fries were really good too. The server was very attentive. She quickly addressed a mistake that was made with one of the orders. Would definitely go back for a burger and beer.

I went to this restaurant to grab a beer at the bar couple of months ago and i thought it was a OK like any other bars in the neighborhood. but I have never been there when it was Karaōke Night!!! oh Wow… everyone is so talented. I mean there was this girl named Rachel who totally sounds just like Adele. I’m a fan!!! Anyways… there draft Guinness is creamy and smooth… Hm. i miss it already… I’m not sure about the quality of their food since it was only appetizers but if you are up for couple of drinks and good singing. stop by!!! Also, they have pool tables at the back so you can play pool and darts also. Get the change from the cashier and you are good to go.

I want to give this 3.5 stars because I think the food is great. This is a go-to spot for me and my fiancé. But I will lead off with this, I’ve never had anything but the burger and fries here, my fiancé has had other stuff and loved it. This is the best burger in Hoboken in my opinion. I’ve had Arthur’s and others, but this one takes the cake. It’s served on an english muffin which balances out the textures perfectly. The burger is GIANT and it is absolutely delicious I always order it blackened with bleu cheese… heaven. Now, the jazz fries. Let me ask you this, do you love curly fries? Do you love waffle fries? if the answer is yes, jazz fries are the the best thing since, well, fries. Honestly, I eat most of my fries before I even get to the burger. My fiancé has had several things there and always said they were great. She usually gets seafood, which I don’t eat so I don’t sample it. One of these days I will get one of the po’ boys. If you eat in the dining room they bring you cornbread which is pretty good. Also on Friday/Saturday you can’t beat $ 5 hurricane specials. Now, the reason I give 3 stars is the service. It’s «meh» at best. The waitresses usually lack much of a personality and are just kind of order takers. Every time we eat there, which is at least 2 – 3 times a month, getting a refill on water, soda, even booze takes a looooong time. I can’t remember if a waitress there has ever come back to say«how is everything?». We always go in knowing it will take longer than most places and we better not be thirsty. This last time we went in, both our drinks were empty for an extended period of time as we watched our waitress sitting down texting most of the night. Ehh, whatever, as long as I have that burger and jazz fries I’m happy.

Oddfellows is one of my favorite Hoboken restaurants. They have authentic New Orleans style food including Jambalaya, Étouffée, Po’ boys, etc. From late April through the end of June, every Tuesday is crayfish night. They cook fresh crayfish by the pound flown up from Louisiana. For drinks, make sure to get a Hurricane and you won’t be disappointed.

If you need to get your Cajun on, hit up Oddfellows. Love their po’ boys, particularly the shrimp and catfish. Try the fried crawfish — delicious! And the jambalaya! Should I keep going? Their authentic New Orleans fare is not to be missed! Good beer and specialty drink specials. Prices are very reasonable. They also have an outdoor seating area in the front and back. The back is like sitting in someone’s backyard surrounded by Hoboken apartments — it’s an unusually nice feel. It’s right by the PATH and the food is really tasty — something out of the ordinary from all of Hoboken’s Chinese and pizza places!

Oddfellows may have served me the best dessert I’ve ever had. That’s right, in 24 years of eating I have never eaten a dessert as good as their bananas foster. Eat it. Now. Don’t even finish this review, just go get it. The main menu also is pretty tasty. A favorite at the table was the crawfish etoufette. I ordered the blackened catfish and was definitely satisfied. For sides I would recommend the spinach but«cajun slaw» is essentially normal coleslaw. We tried alligator sausage for an appetizer and it was pretty good and not too different from standard sausage. Drink prices are standard fare for the area and their specialty Hurricanes are pretty strong. Half the place is dining and half is a bar so you can choose which setting you like. If you’re ragin for some cajun(sorry) there’s no better choice in Hoboken than Oddfellows.
