You Lucky Dog

Very happy with the service. I have two tibetans and they require grooming fairly often. Some places in Hoboken have no idea how to groom my dogs (even shaving them rather than taking the time to de-​mat). Rachel knows what she is doing and listens carefully to what I want. Also makes good suggestions. Highly recommended.

I brought my dog in as a walk in for a brush/​bath/​nail trim and everyone was super friendly and the place looked clean. I liked that the dogs stay in a gated pen rather than a cage before/​after their service; however, I felt that it was geared toward smaller dogs a bigger dog could probably jump over the gate. The front door was locked when we came to pick up the dog, which I thought was great since they don’t have a main gait between the door and where the dog pens are. My dog’s coat looks shiny, he smells great, and he is super soft! He normally does fine at groomers or the vet, but he was being annoying and barked most of the time he was there and they still said he could come back! When we come back we will schedule ahead of time and hope he won’t be super annoying again!

I’ve been coming here for almost 2yrs now. I like the new location and the store’s new layout. I love how grooming tables are not hiding behind closed doors like some places. They always have really good groomers. I’ve always been happy with every cut (review posted on their old location). But this time (groomed 2days ago), it came out exactly how I wanted and I couldn’t be happier. I have a shih tzu girl. I grew up with a shih tzu in Korea so I’m used to what’s called Asian or Japanese style cut where they cut facial hair and hair around muzzle really round so they look like a baby. Not many groomers in the States are familiar with that and while they try their best, it doesn’t come out exactly how I picture but I still thought good enough compared to other places and they are so nice with her which is why I only come here. This time, a new groomer I haven’t met before cut her hair. I didn’t get her name– she had short hair. When I tried to explain what I wanted, she said I know what you mean, you want that Asian style cut right? I was still skeptical but she did such a good job I keep looking at her haircut thinking she cut it exactly how I wanted! My husband didn’t notice much difference from previous cuts and thought it was same as all other time so I guess I’m a little picky. I recommend this place& any groomer here highly. They are so good at what they do!

Best groomer around!!! They’ve always done an amazing job on my Maltese and I wouldn’t trust any other groomer in the area. I’ve been going to them for over 2 years now and have never been happier. I can’t wait to visit the new downtown Hoboken location since it’s very convenient for me and the Path train. Excellent grooming skills, clean facilities, super cute pet boutique and very friendly, professional services. The owners are always accommodating and the groomers take extra special care of your loved one! They are hard to book an appointment with, especially on weekends since spots fill up super fast. so must call way in advance and be flexible! LOVE You Lucky Dog and so does my baby!

I didnt know they moved until i went yesterday, i actually like there new location because it is more convenient for me :), i love how friendly they always are. new spot is kind of small but that does not stop there superb work they do… thanks my dog loves the doggy treats great priced as well
