I hate to write this review because I want her sewing and alterations to stay the best kept secret in southern Maine. But her fantastic business has to be shared. Ann is great and works with you every step of the way. She is very up front on how long the job may take and her price point is spot on. This is a very grass roots business. It is set up in a building next to her home. The only thing I am disappointed with is the fact that I am in the middle of moving to Washington, D.C. So she will be out of reach for me. I am considering sending my things to her, if she will allow that. Her shop may be a little out of the way, but the personable service she provides out weighs the time spent getting to her. Look no further for sewing or alterations. You will not find a better shop or craftsmanship anywhere else.

I am fascinated at all of the work Ann does here at her shop. She has a lovely shop in her garage, complete with 3 view mirror and changing room. She did my wedding dress alterations for so cheap, including a bustle. The dress looked and felt perfect. She does require a mimimum of 8 weeks for wedding alterations. She is very wonderful to work with and accomodating with her shop hours. She even has saturday hours. She was very matter or fact when helping to decide on what alterations would be best suited for me and that was a huge help.(Heels, what height or should i stay in flats) I had the pleasure of seeing one the wedding dresses she made for another bride. It was a beautiful original work of art. She will make any item you desire, just find the fabric. She is truly talented and her prices are worth the little extra drive from the portland area. The only disappointing part is the bustle for my wedding dress didnt last for more than half an hour. There were only 3 small clasps that slide into place and were trying to hold all that heavy lovely fabric up. I understand that it is easier to do less clasps so you can figure out how to bustle it on your how, but they didn’t stand up to the job. I ended up stepping on my dress soooo many times, I had my sister help me safety pin the dress up so I didn’t rip it. It look about 8 safety pins to get it up and still look ok.
