Joshua Inn Bed & Breakfast

My friend and I came to Hollister on a business trip and thought we’d try out our hand at a B&B instead of the local chain hotel. We were so lucky to find the Joshua Inn that by the end of it we didn’t want to leave! The owners, Greg and Trish, were so kind and hospitable during our stay. We would wake-​up in the morning to the smell of fresh coffee just outside of our bedroom door with a delicious gourmet breakfast in the beautifully decorated dining room, and then end our evenings with a lovely glass, or two, of wine and a handful of goodies from the dessert bar located in one of the sitting rooms. The house if filled with lots of knickknacks that were fun to look at, Trish’s little box of essential oils that you may smell, a variety of books you can thumb through while enjoying some time on the outdoor patio, and a television in the living room in case you want to just veg out.
Our rooms, the Kuschel Suite and the Captains Quarters, were upstairs and offered a cozy place to lay your head down at night. My room, the Captains Quarters, was themed very much as you might think –sailor-​esque — with a queen sized bed and a small half bath within the room. My friends room, the Kuschel Suite, featured a spacious full bath with a lovely claw foot tub with a great water pressure rain shower. Since I didn’t have a shower in my room, the Kuschel Suite and the Captains Quarters shared the use of the shower/​tub.
One of my favorite parts of our stay was their sweet dog, SUGAR BEAR! I just wanted to pick him up and cuddle him anytime he scurried by. He would come and greet you anytime you walked through the door, which is always nice.
Greg and Trish are such wonderful people to sit and talk to. Their hospitality truly made it feel as if we were at home talking with our families around the fireplace. The Joshua Inn has so much character and I loved looking through all the history regarding the home. The name, Joshua Inn, has so much meaning behind it of itself. It’s the attention to detail that makes this place so special.
This was my first time staying at a B&B and the Joshua Inn definitely set the bar high for all of the future B&B visits.

The room was amazing. The house was clean, beautiful, and best of all: comfortable!
The hosts, Trish, Greg, and Sugarbear, were so helpful and accommodating! They told us everything we needed to know about Pinnacles, Hollister, and more.
The breakfast… wow. Probably the best breakfast experience I’ve ever had at a b&b. I think it was because Trish made our food with lots of love and attention. Thank you!

This is a very nice bnb, with a good breakfast included. Good, friendly service and a very decent bed. Unfortunately, it is crowded with US Marines paraphernalia. If this is offensive to you, as it is to me, it will put you off this inn. There is a huge Marines flag on the front of the inn, which is the first thing to greet you, and throughout the house there are pictures, knick-​knacks, books, etc. etc. all touting the Marines. I may never have another opportunity to stay in Hollister, but if I were to, I would have to reluctantly stay elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of celebrating our 1 year year anniversary at the Joshua Inn. This home is absolutely beautiful! Full of antiques, knick knacks, character and Sugar Bear, the cutest little resident «inn» dog! We slipped into the comfy robes and slippers provided in our room, and sat down in the cozy living room and just chatted and relaxed with some complimentary wine, candy and great conversation with the owners Tricia and Greg, who were more than wonderful to us throughout our stay. Each room has its own theme, each one as beautiful and the next. We stayed in the Captain Quarters and the huge bed was a complete dream to sleep in. Breakfast the next day was absolutely delicious. The Joshua Inn feels like home, making it very hard to leave. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice quiet home away from home.

Sweet as can be. Very warm and cozy. Tricia and Greg are great. Classic southern hospitality at its finest. Our breakfast was world class. Super comfortable with a home away from home type feel. Didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to come back. Anyone looking for a place to stay in the Hollister area would be lucky to land at the Joshua Inn.

Super nice peeps– Greg and Trish were so hospitable. The place is very well kept for being 115 years old– lots of cool antiques if that’s your thing. Bed was super comfortable. Neighborhood is quiet and close to down town. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended!

I never actually stayed at the Joshua Inn Bed & Breakfast, but I did experience their incredible hospitality. If that was any indication of how the stay would have been, then this is a fantastic place that I highly recommend:)

My friend and I had a fabulous time with Greg and Trish this weekend. We visited the inn for 2 nights, to visit the Pinnacles and to go wine tasting with family in the area. Trish and Greg shared their wondrous hospitality each night and morning, with glasses of wine, and over the top breakfasts.
An aromatherapy practitioner, Trish helped me as well with some of her wonderful essential oils to combat allergies. If you are hiking, pack lots of water and be fit — the climbs up to the peaks are strenuous. I got lucky on the 2^nd day out, spotting a juvenile condor perched on a cliff near where we hikers had lunch.
After the climb, we imbibed. Lots of great tasting places on Cienega Road. Check out Calera and Santa Pietra… The landscapes are unspoiled and gorgeous. Saw a few rattlesnakes in the road, be careful outside town, if you are biking or walking.
The inn is comfy, and the clawfoot tub luxurious, highly recommended. Wfi is available for those of you who are chained to the net. I preferred to let go. There are frequent international visitors, so breakfast conversations are always interesting.
The period house is quiet, noise is muffled so even when full the house is a restful haven from the busyness of the outside world.

We had the most fantastic stay at the Joshua Inn. Staying in the Captain’s Quarters, the room was very comfortable. Daylight streamed in to wake us up, and breakfast followed soon after, little mini-​egg tarts, medium-​boiled eggs, bacon with maple stringers, and a cobbler-​like dish. Greg and Trisha were fantastic, and they even let my sweetheart stay a bit longer to nap as a migraine took hold. Highly recommended.

Atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere. Beautify house the food is amazing and the proprietors go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay.

My husband and I decided after our long hike on the Condor Trail & Highest Peak in the Pinnacle National Park we would stay at Joshua’s Inn B&B in Hollister. Our Gracious hostesses were Greg and Trisha. We were greeted with a glass of Aimee James Cabernet and offered snacks from the candy bar. Suggested dinning was at the Running Rooster where we enjoyed oven brick pizza. After dinner there was pleasant evening conversation and more wine with other traveling guests. Ron played a tune on the piano and their son Joshua’s classical guitar. Topped off with a spectacular breakfast of coconut stuffed French toast. We will be back!

This house is so charming. As soon as I walked in and was greeted it felt like I was staying with friends. Tricia and Greg (along with everyone else that I met) immediately make you feel welcome. I travel to Hollister for work and will never stay at a chain hotel again. The homey, cozy feel of the home, reading the paper with coffee in front of the fire a delicious warm made from scratch breakfast… can’t be beat. The evening glass of wine from a local Vinyard is a perfect way to end the day. I’ll be back soon!

Joshua Inn is a sweet B&B in Hollister near some great wineries and a great location for access to the East Pinnacles National Park.
Greg and Tricia are great hosts and the rooms are well appointed, beds are comfortable and the overall feeling is very inviting and friendly.
Don’t miss out on the complimentary candy bar either!

Charming, cozy, friendly are just a few words that accurately describe this B&B. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, breakfast is delicious and Trisha and Greg are delightful hosts. You’ll be happy you pick the Joshua Inn B&B.

Joshua Inn is a great charming little place in Hollister. Greg and Tricia are wonderful hosts and will do anything it takes to make your stay the best possible. The house is warm and inviting plus it comes with the cutest pup, Sugar Bear!
I stayed upstairs in the room with a king bed and slept like a baby after 2 glasses of local wine courtesy of Greg & Tricia. Also, important to note, Tricia is a killer cook. She made traditional Eggs Benedict in the morning and claimed it was her first time at hollandaise sauce which was hard to believe judging by the deliciousness!
If you’re looking for a fun and off the beaten path place to stay in Hollister, I’d highly recommend this place!

Found the Joshua Inn on the CABBI app during our road trip up from Anaheim to San Francisco. A real gem! A very warm welcome, helpful suggestions about where to dine locally, a fantastic room with private shower, a cute candy station with lovely tasty treats for a few pennies while watching TV. Trisha and Greg are wonderful people and really make a weary traveller more than welcome. We were sad to leave after only 1 night would love to have had longer here. For breakfast we were served up the most AMAZING Zucchini and cheese frittata and churro pancakes. Yum! You won’t regret staying here in the large comfy beds. A darling porch swing and rocking chair made me want to stay a week. I can’t wait to get back

Soooo amazing! This is such a JEM! What an incredibly warm and inviting place. They really make you feel like family. Just can’t say enough… great place. I will definitely be bringing the girls here for a weekend away. Love this place!

I am completely taken with this place. Trish and Greg are two of the most genuine and heartfelt people I have ever met. Not only is their food in this quaint bed and breakfast impeccable, their story is what makes the experience so meaningful and moving. I will return and I look forward to more memories here. My thoughts about Joshua Inn are basically positive, but I have a little bit of mixed feelings about some parts of it. There is no question that the manager Trish is kindhearted and wants to please. The bedrooms are clean and well furnished, and the fixtures new and attractive. The common rooms are very comfortable, and a fireplace gives a nice atmosphere. Long term guests are encouraged to help themselves for breakfast in the kitchen, which, though it is clean, feels very cluttered, and lacking empty horizontal surfaces. There is a little bit of room to improve in handling the financial aspects, or at least I feel there was in my case. I think these are growing pains, as the owners are relatively new. They clearly want to provide good service to their boarders, and I have revised this review after their follow up phone call, to see how they could make things better next time. It is a pretty place, well located and maintained, with owners who want to make you have a pleasant stay, and I recommend it to you.
