AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

The shop is the epitome of a shady mechanic shop. Took my car there on Apr 30, 2015 for brake pad installation. Guy at the front desk tells me 2 – 3 hours. After not getting a call or status update 5 hours later I call in and ask, only for them to me I need to replace a rotor and a brake caliper. I wonder if I hadn’t called, how long before I would’ve received this info. Moving on, 3 more hours later, I finally get my car after 8 hours of waiting. Immediately, after beginning to drive the car I noticed the steering wheel shaking every time I press the brakes. Since I couldn’t afford to leave my car for an entire day again, I brought there car back a few weeks later for service warranty work. Again they spend an entire day to tell they couldn’t find anything wrong. As the problems persisted I brought it back 4 months before my warranty expires, only for them to tell me they lost my records because of a «computer crash». I also lost track of the receipt they gave me, thus leaving me with a terrible, overpriced brake job, with poor customer and no warranty. They’re so called «warranty» means nothing and don’t stand by their work at all. Stay clear of this shop, they’re as shady as it gets.

Finally I got my car run with new transmission. My car still shows the transmission fault light. It is software problem cause the light. So my previous transmission had no problem at all. AAMCO Hollywood didn’t diagnosis but tore my car kept my car hostage for 40 days which cost me too much money with nightmare. There was NO misunderstanding at all.

AAMCO Hollywood… do not take your vehicle to this AAMCO they are all crooks! My friend took her car in to Aamco Hollywood Florida, and they told her they would run a diagnostic test on the car to find out why it wasn’t running right. After wards they called her and said she needed a new transmission. They put the new transmission in at a cost of $ 1900.00 (transmission was now worth more then the car) but she was happy cuz she just wanted the car to run. Well a couple of days later the car started having the same problems that it had when she first took it to Aamco. So I took it to another mechanic. Come to find out there was nothing wrong with the transmission it was an engine compression problem. Aamco never ran the diagnostic test on her car. they just charged her for a new transmission and sent her on her marry way. I called and asked for a refund and they said no. I asked them to return at least the price of the actually work and she would swallow the price of the transmission itself .they said no… dont go to Aamco Hollywood they’re crooks each and everyone of them, from the mechanics to the service managers. Shame on them for stealing from hard working people.

Went here recently to have transmission checked out ended up paying $ 400 just to have it looked at then an additional amount to have repaired. The service was ok but just believe the amount to be a little steep.
