BLVD Hotel & Suites

I feel compelled to leave 2 reviews. The first is this 5 star. The front desk agents are amazing and very accommodating for my special requests. The bartender made an amazing Manhattan. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. Towels were soft, beds were perfect. Having just been remodeled it was no surprise that the gliding glass shower door wouldn’t stay shut. I addressed that with the manager on checkout and was assured that it would be fixed. Parking is $ 24/​night. For that area that’s a reasonable price. Please see my 1 star review pertaining to food sold in the lobby kiosk.

Upon arrival my sister and I were given our room key and when we got to our room there was a man in it doing construction. Once we finally got a different room, there was a ²⁴⁄₇ café with room service advertised. Unfortunately the ²⁴⁄₇ café was closed when we returned later that evening. Overall, we were a little disappointed…

No stars, no customer service, no working bathrooms in lobby, no manager available…

Def recommend for a quaint relaxing hotel. Nyisha @ front desk is awesome, attentive and goes hard on the friendly attitude!

This place is a joke. Hotel is currently under construction. So don’t expect a relaxing midday. The supervisors are very inconsistent. One was more the. Willing to help and accommodate while the other didn’t want to help period. Ended up moving hotels on the 2^nd day of a week long trip. Dez the front desk supervisor has no idea what customer service is or where to start. Comes off as a snotty teen when you ask for help.

Where to start? Was hesitant to book there due to all the bad reviews. Turns out all bad reviews are JUSTIFIED!!! We were literally THROWN OUT of this place. Supervisors name is Dez (Desiree, sp?). She was extremely passive aggressive and will give you absolutely ZERO customer service. We got a «late» check out for noon for the following days departure from the guy who was on duty that night. He, by the way, was friendly and nice. Check out is at 11. Everyone was dead asleep when phone rang at 10:10am. By the time I got to it, they hung up. At 10:15 there is a very loud knock at the door. One of the girls from the front desk, who was so nice at check in, was standing there with a scowl on her face. She said that check out is at 11, that we should not have been given a late check out. Told her everyone is asleep, and that her statement was ridiculous. She said it was policy to check out at 11, that they were sold out, that we needed to get out by 11, and «that she would be back!» WHAT THE HELL?! Never in my life have I been treated so poorly at a hotel. It’s a customer service business, but not at BLVD Hotel and Spa. When I asked for the manager, I was told he was not there. I do have to state that all the guys who work there are very nice and helpful. They were wonderful, and were the reason why I was going to give this hotel a good rating… until the morning of check out. BLVD does not care about taking care of its customers, nor their satisfaction. It was extremely stressful to get two adults and two teenagers out in 40 minutes. Try waking sleepy teenagers and get them to shower and pack all their stuff in a hurry. Also, because of this fiasco, neither my husband nor myself got to shower, only the kids. When talking to Dez, the «supervisor,» I asked her in a quiet manner how they could treat customers like that. I did not yell, I did not raise my voice, I was not aggressive. In a dead cold stare she told me that «we’ve already had this conversation,» pushed a business card toward me with the basic hotel’s email address on it, and told me to send my complaint there. Wow! If you want a crappy experience, you definitely need to stay here! Thank you for the great customer service Dez, you’re a real gem. I am contacting HUM Hospitality Group who owns this place. They should know how their customers are being treated. Don’t know whether they will care or not, but you really put us through a lot of stress and anxiety on the morning of our check out. I hope you are happy that you and your employee ruined our vacation.
P. S. There was another reviewer who described the front desk as a bunch of snotty teenagers. This is a very accurate description. The front desk girls are rude, condescending, bratty, and extremely unhelpful. Buyer beware!!! We have put our credit card company on notice to avoid fraudulent charges as mentioned in the many other reviews. What a nightmare. Don’t get suckered by the pictures.

Don’t bother. It may fit within your budget but this hotel is just sad! I was here on a business trip. It’s under construction but all of the parts and pieces are done haphazard and the furnishings look 2^nd Hand or even 3^rd Hand! It’s kind of clean, but everything is on its last leg. I was afraid with how it looked I’d get bed bugs! It’s run down — and everything is shotty in this place.

Solid location, great for walking over to the strip. Literally a block or two down from the shopping center that leads to Hollywood. Nothing incredible about this hotel in relation to it’s competition but adequate room for the prices.

As soon as we walked in the lampshade was crooked and the room was super dark… Not much lighting except this crooked lampshaded lamp. Beds are comfy with lots of pillows. Tried to turn on heat/​air conditioning but it smelled like… a dead animal to say the least. The water also kind of smells and the shower is lukewarm. Overall not a bad hotel per se but is lacking in the areas mentioned above.

So the hotel isn’t that bad honest, if you want a room that is called a «suite» but it’s just a regular room with a couch shoved in the corner. The first room I was in was de sent actually looked kind of
Like a sweet with only one problem, the heater didn’t work. So I called the front desk and she asked me if it was plugged into the wall. What am I an idiot of course it’s plugged in that’s the first thing I checked. So she said the only thing we can do is move you to another suite. I said that’s fine so we move rooms and low and behold the room is half of the size from the one before. The wifi also didn’t work which made my fiancé upset cause he had some work to do. The only reason why this place got 3 stars is because we where able to leave our car there after we checked out so we wouldn’t have to pay again. Also the staff was nice

It’s good value and clean but kind of creepy. The room is super dark but the fridge is new and water was hot so I can’t complain. I wouldn’t recommend to a friend but if that want something affordable in the area then I guess this is an ok place to stay at.

Where do I start.
It all started this past summer when me and my husband wanted to book an awesome hotel in Hollywood for my birthday weekend. We decided to go with The BLVD because it was decent looking and in a prime location. We booked one month in advance through

Upon arrival, the hotel was to my surprise under some construction (me and my husband had to walk under some guys ladder to get from the parking structure to the lobby) At check-​in the front desk girls were nice but seemed a little dingy about knowing how to accept payment properly. I thought nothing of it. However on the way up to the room we noticed that the small pool was out of order. The whole reason I booked was because this hotel had a pool! I was livid. I called the front desk immediately and asked to speak to the manager. They told me he was in the hotel but not at his desk at the moment and that I would get a call back in an hour. An hour past and no call. When I told them this and asked to speak to the manager again, the girls said the manager was off the grounds and away for the weekend. What the hell! Why wasn’t I notified the first time I called?!! They lie to their guest.
It was the beginning of a very HOT September, why wouldn’t they notify their guest that the pool would be out of order??! Had I’d known, I would have canceled my reservation and booked somewhere else. Unprofessional. The room was nice, quaint, 60s looking and cute however my toilet paper was just left standing and their was no dispenser from which to hang it. Upon checkout my payment was botched. They used my cash $ 100 security deposit towards the room payment which was not what I instructed. I was very upset because now I was being overcharged on my card as well. Once again there was no manager for me to converse with and I was furious. All they could say was «here’s his card and his email is there» «Try him at our other 2 locations» When I tried this I was given the runaround. I’d call Costa Mesa «He’s probably at our Studio City location» I’d call Studio City «He’s probably at our Costa Mesa location» and so on and so forth. Very Frustrating.
I emailed the manager Mohammed a very angry letter. 2 weeks later, I get a phone call from the manager saying he was away on business, that he’s gonna take care of me and my husband, that he will give us a discount and a bar credit and spa credit at their Studio City location, that he’s very sorry about our stay, blah blah blah. Long story short, I’ve been in contact with the manager since September about this, however I told him me and my husband wanted to make the reservation for after the new year and no response since October 19^th! I’ve sent 3 emails since then and just like that, I’m being ignored by this very unprofessional «manager» What a bunch of BULLSHIT. Needless to say, I couldn’t hold this review any longer.
If you stay here and have an issue, of any kind, know that NO ONE IS THERE TO HELP YOU! There is most likely not a manager on the premises and if you do get in contact with him, HE WILL NOT HELP OR BE OF ANY SERVICE TO YOU. Please take it from me, save your money and stay at the Hilton Garden Inn across the way or at any of the other beautiful more expensive hotels nearby. At least there you know you will have a great stay, it will be hassel free, and their big pool will not be closed during a heat wave!

Good value for the area, but it ends there. Walking into the room it looked great, but dirty dirty floors right off the bat. I sat on the bed and it moved horribly. looked underneath and it was held up by a cheap metal frame supported by blocks of wood! Room 324 for reference. The tablet did not work for ordering food and the restaurant (not affiliated with the hotel) would not accomodate an over the phone order. Wow. Want a hot shower? Not here. The shower was barely above luke warm both times (evening and morning). Also for a upgraded bathroom, it boggles my mind why one would not replace the old worn out $ 10 shower curtain. Was out for the evening, came back to have a nightcap and the bartender was horribly unprofessional, and not even to me. She literally told a customer to bring up his glasses so she could use them for another drink. She had clean highball glasses right behind her. There was also cars honking due to traffic and she used quite the profanity to show her displeasure; even at one point walking outside to «tell them off» … dont think she actually did however.
Would I stay here again… no.

We have stayed here a few times, each time a very different experience, but the last couple have been pretty bad. There are repairs and construction going on, so the place always looks like a mess, the front desk staff are generally unpleasant and unfriendly, the wi-​fi can be wonky, our TV was problematic, the room looked out at a huge wall.
Besides all that, and the real reason you are going to want to stay away from BLVD Hotel, is the possibility that employees there are stealing customers’ credit card and other personal info. After a recent short stay, we were contacted by our credit card company saying that someone in Los Angeles tried (and was declined) to use our BRAND NEW (used exclusively on our LA trip) card. The only possibility I could think of is that someone at the BLVD stole our private info and tried to fraudulently use our credit card and info. This also concerns me about the possibility of identity theft.
I am not the first person to write a similar review, apparently other people have had things stolen from BLVD, and at least one other reviewer on Trip Advisor has claimed that they are «flagged» for potential credit card fraud.
We go to LA frequently, and would have been perfectly happy staying at BLVD every time, but there needs to be some serious changes in management and staff before we will ever consider staying there again.
Be warned.

I’ve never left a review on Unilocal or any other site before. I read through the other reviews and I see that I’m not alone. I looked for a place to contact a manager both in the room and on the website. Since there is nothing, well, I guess I have to vent publicly.
Yeah, the TV was broken, it was kinda fixed for me though– I had to unplug it to shut it off, but it turned on and the channels changed if you stood real close. And the elevator wasn’t working. The «fitness room» was locked when it was supposed to be open– no biggie, run down the steps (planing work out anyway) get help, doors open, all good. Machines are a little broken, but, whatever, I made the best of it and got a decent work out. Honestly, none of those things are worth a review. There was even a SNAFU with my booking, and I came back to ALL of my things missing from my room– THAT wouldn’t make me leave a bad review either. It turns out it wasn’t the hotel’s fault. I was horrified a stranger touched all my stuff, but it had clearly been packed away with care. Here is what this review is about:
The front desk staff. One person in particular. It felt like I was interacting with a snotty 15 year old.
On my way out to my meeting this morning, the ride I was waiting for decided not to pick me up but to go strait to the meeting. Whatever. Except we got our signals crossed, and I didn’t realize it until 20 min before the meeting. Now I have to get a car and get there and not be late. Mind you, I’ve come to LA FOR this meeting. I try to open Über on my phone, it needs an update and the WiFi is SO slow… I turn to the front desk «OMG. I’m going to be late for a meeting, I need a car!» There are two guys hanging around the desk laughing and chatting. The ladies at the front desk kind of keep chatting and the guy starts rattling off a number. I go to put it into my phone and the women behind the desk does this simpering eye rolling «I wouldn’t trust it coming from him» says she as she sucks her teeth. Seriously? This is not a game. I’m here for a reason and I’m going to be late. I look at the guy «no really» he says, «it’s a car service number, try it» he gives it to me again slowly. This unprofessional child behind the desk sucks her teeth again and says «I don’t know… it doesn’t sound like a car service number to me» I looked at her «well, do you have a number I can use?» She doesn’t answer directly, but starts typing on her computer. To get a car service number, right? Wrong. To the credit of the other women behind the desk, she was on another call and not really involved in any of this. I said, can you get the car service on the phone while I get a location address? «Sure» eye roll. Does nothing. Me «can you please get them on the phone, I’m going to be really late» she gives me this nasty look and says, «I’ll help you when she gets off the phone.» Oh! So there is only one phone. And she was waiting to «help me» but didn’t feel like mentioning that was her intention.
This went on for a while. By the end I felt deeply insulted. I had been stressed out, but not rude, upset and clearly pressed for time. The «service» I got was what you’d expect from an unbearably obnoxious teenager who is sure they know better than you, and that you suck and deserve to be the subject of their ire. Seriously. That is what it felt like. Just trying to get out the door on time. I’m a human being, something is clearly agitating me, be a human back and genuinely try to help. Yeah, that’s your job, but it’s also common curtesy.
Coming back in was when I found all my stuff gone. You don’t really need me to go in deep on this, do you? Cause now I’m mad– someone touched all my stuff and I don’t know why. I’ve had a long, long day and I just want to go to sleep. I’m not saying it was front desk ladies’ fault– it wasn’t. I’m saying she was awful about it. The sense of entitlement rolling of her made me consider violence at least twice during the exchange. She didn’t give a single shit that it was disturbing that all my things– my underwear, jewelry, medicine, materials for my next meetings, everything had been packed up and was gone. I was clearly annoying her. We both remembered each other from
Earlier in the day and neither of us had a great impression. The exchange did not go well, and I walked up to my room feeling like I had been smacked in the face by the snotty teenager I described earlier. Like, really really insulted.
Upshot? I will never stay here again because the front desk staff acted like a pack of bratty kids. They made me want to go home and read every parenting book in the world so I could try to assure that my kids don’t grow up to be like them. I would not subject myself to that experience again even if the room were free, had a jacuzzi AND a sauna and was located ON TOP of the fucking Hollywood sign.

Unpleasant stay. Limited tight parking, no restaurant, only a small bar hidden away and very awkward. front desk girl named Mellisa was very unpleasant and unwelcoming!

J’aurais préféré né jamais connaître cet endroit. Mis à part 2 filles, le reste du personnel est arrogant. De la drogue circule dans l’établissement et il est extrêmement bruyant. J’ai été chargé à double un séjour de 3 jours alors que je né suis resté qu’une nuit tellement ça né valait pas le prix. Extrêmement déçu. A éviter absolument !!!

Had to pick a hotel within a decent distance from Create Nightclub and decided to choose this gem because of that and price. FYI check in on Unilocal to get your parking comp’ed for the night too! They have their own parking garage where you pay I believe $ 20 a night.
The entrance is directly adjacent to their awesome neon BLVD sign! You walk in and the reception desk is straight ahead with the bar to your right. To get to your room you will need to exit the reception area and make a left to hit the elevator. The décor and vibe is modern along with the room. Whoever chose the furniture and wall color knew what they were doing, major props on interior design of rooms. Dimly lit but has several lights to balance it out. The room was really spacious and had a lounge area! Room also carried big mirrors for your female companions to take selfies haha my date for the night took advantage of that.
A few more of the cons were that the room was in need of minor renovations that were only noticed by keen eye. Also upon dropping something I had to reach under the bed to retrieve it and noticed that the floor was extremely dirty underneath the bed as if it hadn’t been swept for a month! A sheet on top of the cover also had what it looked to be gum on it too… so just tread carefully when you’re looking to save on room rates for hotels haha
Overall 3 stars because of the lack of cleanliness and also the walk in the rain to get to our room! Kinda odd to have been staying on a night where it rained haha

Lovely rooms and a convenient distance from Hollywood Blvd sight seeing. We stayed here for our St. patty’s day celebration at the Palladium and had a short walk to travel for it (but of course we Über’d). The beds are fairly comfy and the rooms spacious. There’s an outstanding refrigerator to keep your alcoholic needs cold and a decent sized tv. The sheets on one of our queens (the second night) were stained so I had to go with a 3 star rating on that account but the rooms were overall better than that.
The locations is very aesthetic and the lobby features a 5−7pm happy hour lounge. It’s a little small in that entrance but the staff is friendly and welcoming (bartender let us borrow a bottle opener for our private stash). The overall experience was great and i’d definitely go back.

Great hidden gem!!! Centrally located walking distance to very cool restaurants, shops and bars. Room are clean and surprising BIG!!! Updated décor, overall very nice!
Pool is VERY small but it looks like they re in the process of building a new one.

Mitten in Los Angeles gelegen befindet sich dieses Hotel optimal um Hollywood zu besichtigen. Die Zimmer sind groß und sauber. Wenn man mit dem Auto anreist kann man auf dem hoteleigenen Parkplatz kostenfrei parken. WLAN lief auch problemlos.
