I specialize in teaching children as young as 4 years old how to play the guitar. I have a child’s size First Act brand guitar that your child can use to learn on during the private class. I have several different packages based on your child’s skill level.

I also believe that it is always the right time to learn how to play the guitar. Regardless of your age, if you feel now is the time to finally learn how to play «Nothing Else Matters» by Metallica, I can help you! Maybe you’ve always wanted to know how to tune your guitar so that you can play «She Talks To Angels» along with the record. When would now be a good time to learn how to play?

I am able to work with you at your pace and show you the basics of learning the acoustic guitar. I think that it is important to learn your specific learning style and then apply that to the awesome process of learning to play your favorite songs.

I can also help you learn how to begin writing your own songs on the Acoustic guitar.

History

Established in 2003.

I began playing in 1992 and was fortunate enough to have some incredibly amazing teachers.

I began teaching in New York City in 2003 and have always enjoyed helping people gain confidence in their playing ability as well as helping them discover their own songwriting process.

In 2010 I recorded an upbeat and silly album of children’s music and as I result of performing at various libraries across Southern California I met a lot of parents who were interested in their son or daughter learning how to play the guitar.

I believe that it is entirely dependent on the child and his or her interest. My youngest student just turned 5 and I have been working with him for a year. I am willing to work with children aged 4 and up if they are showing a strong interest in the guitar. I have several lesson plans that turn learning the guitar into a fun game complete with silly hand exercises that serve as tools to develop the motor control of your child’s fingers.

At an early age Jeff was exposed to many styles of music thanks to his parents. Jeff’s mother introduced him to popular American music and Jeff’s Father shared the music of his native India. From the Beatles to Vivaldi to classical sitar music, Jeff absorbed it all. His American and Indian Heritage played a huge role in Jeff’s love of music and personal development. He became fascinated with combining various genres of music to create his own style. Jeff’s unique voice, heartfelt lyrics, and production have led many to comment that he is truly distinguishing himself from the masses. Jeff spent one year in college studying abroad and exploring the continent of South America. After graduation Jeff abandoned his pursuit of becoming a psychologist to pursue his passion for creating music in the world.

After privately teaching adults guitar for 7 years Jeff began to start teaching young children how to play the acoustic guitar. Jeff’s begins working with children as young as 4.
