This little gem sits in a run down strip plaza. The exterior façade of this restaurant seems questionable and if you are someone who cares about appearances, this PLACEISNOTFORYOU! I’ve been to this place twice. Below is a list of what I tried and what I think about it. Tongue tacos: $ 2 each, On a corn tortilla with onions and cilantro and queso fresco. This taco was amazing and given the price an unbeatable value! I added some red spicy picante sauce which was freshly prepared and delicious. The taco is overstuffed so, if I was you, I would order an extra tortilla and make 2 nice sized tacos for the price of 1! Steak Tacos: $ 2 each, Just as good and with some tomatoes on top, absolutely the best available given the value! Also extremely overstuffed, ask for an extra tortilla for 2 manageable size tacos. Chicken tacos: $ 2 each, the meat was just a little bland, but nothing a little salt and picante sauce can’t fix. They store the homemade sauce in the refrigerator so it is very fresh. Tostones con MOLE!!! — $ 1.50 for 5 big ass tostones… Personally, I would stay away from any fried foods in this joint because for some reason, the tostones retained a hell of a lot of oil and guess where all that unwanted grease is going to end up??? The mole was divine and the tostones very crunchy! Whole fried Tilapia: $ 7.99 for a whole 2 – 3 pound fish! This is freaking insane. I didn’t try this dish, but can’t wait to do so in moderation! This is not a regular item, so you would have to call ahead of time and see if the owner is going to the fish market that day. Chicken Tamales: $ 1 each!!! Holy crap! I have not tried but I saw them preparing it in front of me. Its not an everyday item, but they do make it a couple times a week. This restaurant is a hidden gem guys and this place has only been in business for 1 year. I will def. be going back there sometime soon. Eat well, but don’t be glutinous! Live well, but don’t be greedy! Constantly think about those who r less fortunate than you and You will always be content and humbled!
