Poochitas Dog Salon & Spa

I debated about this review for a while. I thought, maybe I’ll just write the owner an email and let her know what I thought about her business directly. But after an experience I thought I would only read about in talk threads I feel like I should warn my fellow Unilocalers about this business.
We’re new to our neighborhood and were searching for a dog groomer near by. After browsing around I noticed the abundance of pictures on this business as well as a well maintained Facebook page so I thought, hey, let’s give this place a try. On the day of the appointment I should have turned around and taken my dog home.
This was no dog grooming salon, but rather, a house. I thought, hey, I sell stuff out of my house right, so what’s the difference? Well, the difference is, for something like grooming a dog, cutting his nails, touching glands, a bit more experience is something you can expect out of an established grooming salon with the backing of someone who may have spent more time in the industry.
What we got in this case is half a hair cut, the accusation of my dog biting the groomer and the feeling of deception and embarrassment for not getting my dog out of a situation I was uneasy about.
After Tom wrote a review of the business the owner responded in a not-​so-​nice way, then she called our home to harass us about the review and ultimately wrote to Unilocal HQ and had the review removed and Tom’s account CLOSED for allegedly writing paid reviews.
So my friends with fur babies, just to let you know, this isn’t a grooming salon at all and it is my belief that this young lady has a lot to learn both about grooming dogs and about running a business.
