You can’t get better than Ralph and Dave. Great mechanics, friendly, honest as the day is long. Really great prices, no ripoffs here. Their shop doesn’t win any awards for aesthetics, but never mind that. I found them by chance. Since then I have taken all my cars to them and recommended them to anybody who needs a mechanic.
Took a used car I was considering buying for my daughter for them to check out. Wow! The put it up on the lift, checked it from the suspension to the exhaust, removed wheels to check brakes/​rotors, checked A/​C, alternator, electrical system, computer diagnostics. They even drove the car. After giving it a clean bill of health, they charged me ¹⁄₃ of quotes I was getting from others, who I doubt would be as thorough. That was 4 years ago, and to this day they still remember the car and ask about my daughter who went off to college in the car Dad bought!
