Rocco’s Pizza

You can’t go to Hollywood beach without grabbing a slice of pizza for lunch and some ice cream after.
We love Rocco’s pizza! I usually just grab a slice of cheese and be on my way but we noticed since margaritaville opened up, there are a lot more tables for outside dining. It was a beautiful day (otherwise we wouldn’t have been at the beach) so it was a no brainer that we wanted to sit outside.
This time, I was feeling a bit more adventurous at this place. I ordered two slices of sausage and garlic. I forgot how huge the slices were… I barely could finish one and tried to pawn my other slice off on my boyfriend who devoured his two slices already. Oh well, leftovers for me!
My only complaints are: 1. The garlic was in huge chunks… I much prefer minced garlic rather than biting into an entire clove with each bite but I’m sure they could have done that for me upon request. And 2. They automatically add gratuity. This I almost didn’t catch since their printer seemed low on ink and it didn’t make out the words completely. I asked the waitress if gratuity was already added and she said yes… I then asked how much and she responded «15%». I did a little math and it’s really 18% added on which annoyed me just the slightest.
I understand a server’s hustle but don’t lie to me! Negative half a star for each complaint. Still worth the great tasting, huge pizza slices!

Possibly my worst experience eating out. We ordered two jumbo pizzas and server literally got mad at us. She said it will take more than 1 hrs– it arrived in 20– and then grabbed our menus swiftly before we finished ordering. What else. then she charged us 1 extra pizza… it took us another 30 min to get it resolved… pizza was OK but surely didn’t wort all this frustration. Dont eat at this location just because you are so hungry or you want to be close to the Hollywood theater.

Enjoyed light lunch of thin crust pizza. The crust was perfect, crispy outside, chewy and soft inside. Great service. Seems like a family-​owned and –operated restaurant. The homemade tiramisu was creamy and Delicious. Plus awesome beach view.

I love love this place. I come from far just to eat here. Staff is friendly and great prices

They raised the prices A LOT (eggplant parmigiana dinner $ 11.75 to $ 15.50) without increasing the quality. It’s very disappointing. What used to be a super deal is gone, and we don’t think it’s coming back.

Fantastic food and service. Owner suggested special which was fantastic and save this group of 5 significant $$. Well done!

Come here all the time! Have never had a bad meal! Everything here is DELICIOUS! You really can’t go wrong, from pizza, to burgers, to soups, to salads, to fish sandwiches!!! So good!

Wow so our first time eating here … Service: Red head working take out horrible service. You have to ask her if your other is ready. The food … YOU might as well make a microwave pizza better than this food. DON’t eat here save your money. We spent $ 30.00 in food had to throw most of it away.

We LOVE this place. Everyone we stay at our beach condo we have to eat here. We usually always try something different and every time it never fails. It is delicious! My favorite things are the penne alla vodka, cheese pizza, garlic rolls and mozzarella sticks. SO good. Highly recommend.

Great service with a laid back environment. If you eat too much (trust me, you will), you can always walk it off on the boardwalk. I will most definitely return again

Pretty good pizza. Nice and friendly staff. The place can get very warm and stuffy at times, but usually this is not an issue. This is true especially in the evening because you can sit outside and enjoy the view of the beach, and the cool breeze!

I am so pleased with everything here, we’re traveling from California and looking for a kick back pizza parlor and we found it and even better it’s right off the beach! We got the meat lovers pizza, hot wings and my daughter got a bacon cheeseburger which was soooo good ! If we ever get the chance we will be back for sure!

I’ve been here a few times over the last couple years, sometimes meeting friends or just a break to get off Hollywood Beach’s Broadwalk. The food is tasty and fresh. The service is prompt and friendly and I don’t recall a bad experience in any respect. However, when I received the bill on the last couple visits, I noticed a 15% gratuity automatically charged to my credit card at the time of sale. I realize some people won’t tip and that’s their right but to see this added automatically on smaller checks (party of two) was a bit surprising. I’ll definitely be back if I’m making a Beach visit but I’ll make sure my service was worthy of tipping extra.

We went here based of previous reviews. I didn’t think the waitress was especially friendly, but as I’m from the west coast perhaps she is very friendly in east coast terms. The outside looks kinda shady but I overheard they’ll be adding to the entrance soon including outdoor seating.
All we had was the pizza. It was well proportioned and flavored well. I definitely want to try their pasta now. Good prices and portions.
