The Club at Emerald Hills

This was pitiful. Thanksgiving felt like attending a nursing home. The service was pitiful and the food was less than fair! The club catering has hit rock bottom. We would never go back!

Amazing service. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Lots of variety, mimosas were BOGO. It’s a bit on the pricier side, our bill came out to about $ 40 per person with two rounds of mimosas + 18% included gratuity. I didn’t mind that the gratuity was included because the service was excellent. Beautiful location. Will recommend for a special occasion not for a regular sunday brunch.

I took the family here for brunch Sunday as a back-​to-​school prep meal. I read a write up about it online and wanted to give it a try.
We wandered into the lobby of the clubhouse and was greeted by a nice gentleman named Jeff. He walked us to our table near the window and we were greeted by our server, Debbie. She was very friendly and quick with our drink refills which, when you are pigging out on a buffet, is very important.
I like to jump right in with a custom omelette so I sprinted over there and ordered one up. While that was cooking, I hit the cold salad area. I tries a scoop of each and they were all so fresh and flavorful; chicken salad with big chunks of chicken, tuna which was creamy and delicious, egg which was one of the vest I’ve ever had, crab (I think it was imitation but still very good) and the chilled seafood salad with squid, octopus, scallops and shrimp was so good. I hit that one a couple more times!
I’m not a big prime rib fan but they had a carving station with turkey and prime rib and wanted to give it a shot. Added a dab of horseradish and, man-​oh-​man, that was so juicy and tasty!
There was another area with toast and bagels that I didn’t try but I did hit the dessert bar and had some awesome carrot cake, chocolate brownies and cookies.
My wife and kids were satisfied when we got done as well. I would definitely come back!

Wow! I went to the new Sunday brunch and holy moley! It is fabulous. I can’t believe that it was under $ 20.
They had several different stations set up all with way too much to choose from. The Turkey and the New York Strip were so good. My favorite was the NY Strip. Next stop at the omelet station! Then you move on to eggs, bacon, eggs benedict, sausage, French toast and a chicken dish with a yummy sauce. The next station was a salad then on to the raw bar! Shrimp and this unbelievable crab salad. The crab salad was my daughters top choice and mine as well. Not too much mayo and plenty of crab. The creole was good but a bit spicy for me. Of course there was a bread and coffee station too.
Last was an amazing array of deserts. The carrot cake was to die for but my daughter loved the chocolate cake.
We never wanted for anything. As soon as you put down your fork their terrific wait staff was there to pick up your plate so you could go load another.
This will definitely be a frequent brunch for us!

I went to a wedding at The Club at Emerald Hills
This is my horrifying experience–
–The place is OLD not like in charming old, but OLD as in needs to be renovated/​remodeled and brought into 2013. The place looks right out of the 70’s and still has all the décor, carpet and faux wood to prove it. The bathrooms are gross and need to be torn down. The carpet needs to be ripped out. This place needs an overhaul.
–location is okay, neighborhood is quiet and charming.
–the main lobby is just old, nothing to write home about.
–The upstairs is where all the magic happens, ceremony, restrooms, buffet and party.
–The ceremony room set up is decent, nothing out of the ordinary.
–There is an oddly placed water fountain at the top of the stairs. The water fountain is a tacky touch. The fountain takes up too much space and really serves no purpose other than the splattering of water.
–The waitstaff looked and acted tired, haggard and annoyed.
–The reception area was in a room directly next to the ceremony room.
–Drinks were served at a small bar and one appetizer was served by a petite lady with obnoxiously long gray matted hair and a crotchety disposition. Said lady disappeared and the rest of the appetizers where placed on a table near the door of the reception area upon which guests then instructed by an elderly waitstaff gentleman to «Go get them» I was horrified!
–The appetizers were nasty. Fried frozen styrofoam crab cakes, the greasiest spring rolls and greasy tasteless chicken fingers drowned in an odd sesame batter. Awful!
–We were then summoned to the dinner room. The setup was as nice as this dump could make it. The flowers were lovely. The tables were set nicely. I must note my date had to take a pass on his champagne toast as his glass was as dirty as the subway tracks in NYC. Ack!
–The buffet consisted of low end quality dishes made by a mediocre cook. Food was pretty bad. Drinks were pretty bad.
–The staff at this place were a lazy inattentive bunch. No water refills WHATSOEVER. –The dinner plates were never picked up until the absolute end to make space for a slice of wedding cake. So we sat for most of the event with dirty plates and used cutlery around us.
–Coffee was never announced and never served. Guests had to schlep to the back of the room and fend for themselves for a tasteless cup of Joe and a questionable creamer.
–There was an ice cream station set up with sprinkles, oreo cookie crumbs and whipped cream the area was so dirty and gross I couldn’t believe it.
–The wedding cake was tasty.
–The dance floor set up in the center of the room is nice.
–The newly wed couple were set up on a table at the front of the room. That was nice too.
The Club at Emerald Hills is NO danger of ever being on any list of extravagant dining halls.

I’ve been here several times for Sunday brunch. And WOW. The spread alters a bit from week to week. But the white fish staple, salmon, potato pancakes and custom omelet (ask for Lou) are a must. The setting is pleasant. The dining room overlooks a lush garden and you can see the green of the golf course beyond. Oh and yes the desserts. Who can say no to mini key lime pies? And probably best of the all is the price. Definitely a lot of yummy bang for your buck.
