I went there to try a different salon since I was unhappy with my previous stylist, I went in for a haircut and blow dry my daughter was with me so we both ended up getting a haircut and blow dry… I had been wanting to get a facial for the longest and saw that they offered the service Bar the girl who was cutting my hair said that Antonia the esthetician and was the best and she truly was, she even checked in with me the next day to make sure I didn’t have any reactions since I tried a certain kind of mask for the first time. Am definitely going back there again I may even be brave enough to let them do my eyebrows since I drive pretty far every time I want them done because it’s hard to find someone is consistent with doing eyebrows very good experience

This was my first time here and Mali did a great job with my haircut! I was able to get a next day appointment, which was really convenient. The salon is large, comfortable, and has friendly employees. They offer hair services, facials and manicures/​pedicures. I will be back!

Let me start by saying that the receptionist made it happen!!! Super friendly! And made it happen with my unexpected show. And then, the magic happened with EDIL!!! Lots of love and hugs and kisses for her !!! She brought life ! Back to my hair! Last minute client and she took care of me with the best attitude !! And left me gorgeous !!! All I can say is I’m so glad to have found this place !!! Xoxoxoxixx

We seen the deal on Groupon, so when I called, they said we will give you that price don’t use the Groupon OK. And they did. The nail polish was thick and old so by the time I got home it was lumpy and chipping. They never offered either one of us nail drying. I wonder if they have them? As I was in the foot bath, I saw the bath next to me with a ring around it. They do not use plastic liners and neither nail tech scrubbed the basin when we got done, just rinsed them. The lady that did my daughter in law was out of line with the questions she asked of her. She did a half slap job on her, poor pedicure. I called them when I got home and they gave me a time to come the next day for a color change. BUT Even for free I would not go there. I hate to be negative, but they need to know that dirty basin is scary, who wants toenail fungus? WHAT no nail drying station? and as she was putting the polish on she should know its too thick and old. They should Thank Me for honestly pointing this out to them.

My stylist Jenny was amazing. It’s too bad the owner doesn’t care more about her clients and stylists to allow tipping on credit cards. Her explanation– well than I would have to have more cash in my cash drawer… So apparently it’s ok for clients to have to drive to find their bank nearby or pay $ 6 service charge to use the arm… Because this business owner doesn’t want to have more cash in her drawer.

Had a spa pedi with Nancy last week and it was sheer heaven! From the foot and leg massage to the polish, she did an excellent job. I’ve had this service done at «mall» salons and I’ve always found those experiences to be lacking. Now I know why. Nancy has a sweet personality and was fun to talk to. I work on my feet all day and I wanted to treat myself to something special and special it was!

I purchased two groupon deals for this salon after carefully reading the restrictions where it stated that the limit was two per customer, and could be used toward any service. The lady at the front desk made a scene both times I used the voucher that the salon themselves are still advertising on here. If the vouchers are not applicable towards services THEN DON’T OFFER THEM! On another note I was pleased with Jenny and Janna’s work, but being that I’d have to deal with the unprofessionalism at the front desk at checkout time I will not be back.

On a whim I decided to change my haircolor on Mother’s Day. My experience was great! I had a Unilocal certificate, got a same day appointment, and Bar (my stylist) was super patient and attentive. I have tons of curly hair and she spent hours doing highlights on my entire head. I’ve never been there before, but my first experience was so good, I have another appointment for this weekend!

Pretty upset I called to get my hair just washed and blow dried on Sunday. She said ok let me look then when I told her I had Groupon I was told we have no space for Groupons wait what? She said I can fit you in but you have to pay not use a groupon. The groupon has no day restrictions and I find it to be very poor customer service a customer is a customer no matter how they are paying. I am calling groupon to get my money back I will never go and will advise all my friends to stay away.

I went to Xanadu for a mani/​pedi because I had a groupon for the salon. I ended up getting a gift certificate for 20% off on any hair treatment next time I went back.
I went back that following Sunday, a huge perk in itself, and I was fortunate enough to have Jenny color, highlight and blow dry my hair.
I haven’t looked back since! The salon is fantastic and Jenny is not only an absolute doll, she is extremely talented! My hair was in very bad shape when I first started going there, but now it is healthy and bouncy!
Thank you Jenny for making my experience a pleasure every time I come to Xanadu!

This salon was Great!!! What a find! I had a mani and pedi, Brittany is awesome. I am always worried about my nails being done because I am a fanatic when comes to trimming and shaping. I highly recommend Brittany she did a beautiful job can’t wait to go back. The atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming too. Front desk is well handled also which is a plus. This place is always fantastic. Used the Unilocal coupon they offer and had no problems redeeming it there. I have gone to other salons that have had outstanding reviews and am always disappointed… I have even come here before so they could fix a botched color job done by another salon. I have found my spot and will not be going anywhere else to do my hair! Tina is amazing btw! I have ALOT of hair and she took her time with me and did an awesome job! Thank you!

Per the owner’s request, I’m taking down my original review. She said it was taking away from their business. It’s not my intention to cause financial harm to local establishment, so I will continue with an abridged review.
I’ve been here at least half a dozen times for a wash and blow out when I can’t get to my regular hair girl in Aventura. I have naturally curly /​wavy hair, so it’s a necessity every few weeks. More times than not, they try to convince me to get my hair cut, when that is not why I came in. One time I allowed them to, and did not like the turnout, so I decided to only come for washes and blow outs, nothing else. I’ll give them credit, they good job at that, and that’s why I kept coming back. I just don’t like the «upsell» tactics they use. After my last experience, I will not be back. The stylist and manager both offered me discount services after I left unhappy a few weeks ago. I appreciate it, but I declined.
This is not a bad salon by any means. It’s just not the salon for me. Hopefully this will make the owners and stylists reconsider telling clients how bad their hair looks in order to rack up the price.

I loved everything and left so happy cos couldn’t find a good stylist for 2,5 years I’m here and finally my hair is safe))) Bar (my stylist) did magic! She did everything exactly as I wanted even more. I’m very picky person but even after looking for some complains I cannot find any))) now is two weeks after and I got compliment yesterday again))) will definitely come back and maybe will try some facials too…

I loved Mali, who fixed the highlights in my hair after a disaster with Fantastic Sams. Julie, who did my nails and pedicure, was nice but it was less of a spa experience and more of a buff and polish. Not sure it was worth the price tag for that part. I would go back but for a different nail tech! Thanks again Mali! Great job.

Nice environment and professional haircutters and colorists. My family has tried four or five salons in the area over the past three years and Xanadu is the best. Excellent value with Unilocal certificate.

Sitting under a hair dryer as my deep conditioning sets– if you have the Groupon, make sure and tell the shampoo girl about deep conditioning, other wise you won’t get it (didn’t seem like very good communication with her and she didn’t seem too thrilled to be there either)
The front desk lady seemed to be having a bad day, she snapped at a nail tech when they asked what was next (who was very sweet), and for my stylist, she called him over the phone and seemed very annoyed to do so.
Any way! David, my stylist, said he had been doing hair for 14 years, wow. I don’t know what it is, but some hair dressers can get you to talk, about things you’ll wonder why in the world you’re telling them that!
We chatted about giving birth, home schooling, raising kids, how to have a boy or girl (according to his friend you think about the sex of the baby before ahem) and other random stuff.
My hair came out awesome. I have bangs and shorter layers now, not too much of a change.
I give it 4 stars only because he kept saying my kid would be in a bubble and socially awkward if I homeschool him. Not like once, but multiple times!
4 stars for my awesome hair, minus 1 star for insulting my kid lol
