Zen Nails & Spa

I’m quite particular with my nails as I’m a licensed Nail Technician myself. With that said, I like to get pedicures without spending a fortune as well. They do a good job. It’s nothing fancy. But it’s thorough and I’ve had two since I’ve moved here and been satisfied. I watched them clean and I felt very comfortable with receiving my service. Tina the owner is a hard worker as all the employees are. I’ve worked in busy Vietnamese owned shops too in my old home on Indianapolis, trust me, they’re working as fast and hard as they can with also trying to do a good job as well. Just saying to the people who get huffy waiting.. Maria is sweet, Kevin and I think it was Tony are both kind as well and funny too. It says spa out front. Don’t expect to be in a «spa» type atmosphere really though (even though it’s pleasantly decorated for a nail shop) as one princess I had the displeasure of sitting next to once did. It’s a nail shop. It’s nice, affordable and is what it is. As far as the comment about the limited gel options. The new owner (s) have changed that. They have a lot in my opinion. I’m also pretty easy to please as I’ve gotten older too I guess. So to make a long drawn out story short, I think they do a great job especially for the price. Yes, I’ve had more luxurious pedis, but paid luxury price. With the same end result ultimately.

Don’t like to leave negative reviews, but I got a terrible manicure in here today, I had to have it removed straight away wasting most of my morning, and they wouldn’t give me a refund! Wouldn’t reccomend it at all…

If you have a big group go some where else! Made an appointment for nine prior to my sons wedding. The woman (Kim) took my appointment, she assured me nine would be no problem. «I’ll bring in people from my other salon, everyone will be fine.» We arrive no other people were brought in. The ones there were unable to finish all of our parties nails. Out of nine ladies only one got her mani and pedi, one pedi on another, four left, two left half done. As the Mother of the Groom, had wanted a mani and pedi. I had my toes started, no polish ever out on. The owner/​manager Kim, lied and actually laughed as she left that salon. I’ve never had an experience like this. Do yourself a favor DO NOT go to this salon.

Not Zen at all! We made an appointment at noon and did not even get serviced until almost midnight. One lady was straight up eating her lunch while doing my nails — gross. The worst was that this old dude with dementia puttered around the place pretending to work there and calling all of the ladies «Kim». Don’t make me forget to mention the salmonella infection I got from their pedicure– which caused all of my toes to fall off except the middle one on my right foot.
After that happened they said «see! I save you money — you only pay for only
one toe now!»

I would highly recommend having TINA do your nails! I would give her 5 stars! However, there are other things that Zen needs to improve upon. 1) I waited for 40 minutes before anyone had time for me… and yes, I had an appointment! 2) As I sat waiting for ‘my turn’ I overheard MANY disgruntled customers. One even came over to me as I waited and said, «Run! Don’t stay here!» 3) It seems very disorganized. 4) Even though people were waiting, the owner/​manager (Kim) disappeared. Maybe it was her dinner time. (?) TINA, however, gave me a beautiful French manicure (shellac), so I’m a happy girl! If I ever go back there, I will request TINA!

I agree, Tim was great. One of the woman working there was really rude. The other gives a good pedicure but is not very pleasant. I would definitely recommend though.

The ONLY reason I’m giving this place 5 stars is because of Tim, who gave me a fantastic pedicure. The other woman Anna who was working was a pill. She must have seen my flip flop feet from across the room, because she went out of turn with Tim to make it a point to not wait on me. Her loss, I waited tables for a few years in season, therefore I tip at about 40%. Tim was amazing. Fantastic customer service… and my «flip flop feet» now look and feel wonderful! Call for an appointment with Tim. Stay away from that Anna rag!

Accommodating and friendly staff, great services, and good variety of colors to choose from. My sister and I had a great relaxing retreat to start our vacation. Mani pedi and sangria!
