Extremely rude woman behind the counter that when I asked for a moment she blatantly made a disgusted noise followed by a «Jesus Christ»… All I needed was 10 seconds, but I guess that’s irrelevant considering I just walked out. I understand a job is a job, but when a customer asks for a second before placing an order it’s not the end of the world and surely doesn’t warrant a response such as that.

Went there because I was looking for a place to get better cuts for the charcoal grill and smoker. When I asked for skirt steak they rudely laughed at me as if it was a stupid question. Before letting me ask about the other things I was looking for the clerk/butcher goes on to have a personal conversation with another customer. Perhaps if you are a regular they treat you better, but the attitude and lack of service didn’t even allow me to complete my purchase.

I disagree with the customer service. I once got a brisket which didn’t please me and the owner, John, personally delivered another one to my door after hours. They are fantastic and knowledgeable. The turkey meatballs are as good are beef. Their prepared foods are homemade and with lots of love and plenty of meat. They are Delco and that’s what makes them awesome.

Love the old fashion service and there products are great. They make the best store bought meatballs you can find. They are real home made meatballs like I would make myself.

What an amazing place! I never imagined I could still find a classic butcher these days, indeed I’d never been to one, but I have been very impressed with the wide range of meats, prepared foods, deli, other sundries. In this small store, Roy has packed a huge selection of right-priced items, including every pork, poultry, lamb, and beef product you could want. And who doesn’t love Boars Head deli products. Great place, and I’m looking forward to sampling all of his wares!

I’ve been going to Tweedy’s for 50 years. Of course, I was tagging along behind my Mother when I first went there. We’d do our weekly grocery shopping at Acme and then go to Tweedy’s for meats and lunchmeats. You could count on the guys behind the counter to always give you great information about how to cook any item they sold and on the best cuts of meat. I continued the tradition with my own family and although the service isn’t as friendly as it used to be, the quality didn’t appear to have changed. We’ve since moved out of state and come up every 3 to 6 months and I often bring the cooler along to pick up things I can’t get in our neighborhood. My kids and grandchildren love the Scallopini and although I often add meat to the second serving, there is always plenty to pick from the first time around. Not so with the last 2 times. I had bought 3 packages so didn’t think much of it when I opened the first as it was just my husband and I. He said to me when he got up from the table to get second helpings that he thought they skimped on the chicken but I didn’t pay much attention to it, thinking that these things sometime happen. When I used the second and third packages I had purchased, combining them for a family dinner, I noticed there was very little chicken in either package. I sent my son to the store and sautéed extra chicken and added it to the scallopini. I still wasn’t upset knowing that people make mistakes and thought that perhaps someone new made the recipe. On our last trip, I bought 3 more packages of scallopini, along with pork chops, veal, ground sirloin, and several pounds of lunch meat, it’s the usual order for me. When the same thing happened with the chicken scallopini again, I felt like it was filled with peppers in place of chicken, I called the store. The man I spoke to couldn’t have been nicer. I told him what happened and this was the 2nd occurrence. He told me to call a couple days prior to my next trip to PA and they would make sure it was properly made. There was never any talk of him offering me a refund, nor did I ask for one. He said they would take care of it, when looking back on the conversation I took that to mean that he’d make certain the scallopini had the proper amount of chicken on my next purchase. When I called today, the first person I spoke to said he wasn’t authorized to do anything for me and that I’d need to speak to the manager. The manager, after listening to me, asked me if I was looking for a refund for the items I complained about. I said that I wasn’t but I was just doing what I had been asked to do, let them know a couple days prior to my trip and that I’d be in on Wednesday. He told me he’d been there for years and they never had a problem like this before and asked me again what I wanted him to do. I told him, AGAIN, to be certain that the recipe was made as it always had been done for years before. He told me he didn’t believe me! He said it was always made the same way and that nobody made a mistake. I’m so far past furious at this point, I could scream. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, always recommending them for First Communion, Christenings, Birthdays, etc. I never bought our meat anywhere else and to be treated like this is outrageous. I didn’t ask for my money back. In fact, I didn’t ask for the next order to be free. Money was never discussed! How dare a manager call a customer a liar, whose family has shopped there for 50 years? I’m waiting for a call from the owner and we’ll see how she/he handles the situation. Having been a business owner myself, both restaurant and retail, I know that mistakes can happen. Although the customer is not always right, if any one of my employees had ever spoken to a customer in the manner he spoke to me, he’d no longer be employed by us.

During the week they are ok. When they are busy on the weekend, they are the rude and miserable. I’d rather get my meat at a supermarket than deal with people who treat their customers like that.

Great local butcher shop! We got two racks of ribs for the smoker and a 5 pound, seasoned pork roast for New Years. Both of the meats were fresh, delicious, and were reasonably priced. Service was quick and the person who helped us was extremely knowledgeable. I know I’ll be back in the future for all my meaty needs!

Old style butcher shop. Place special orders if you want. My significant other stops in here from time to time for the $ 14.99 special — 2 lbs of chipped beef, ½ lb of American Cheese, and 6 Amoroso rolls. Service is usually efficient, but if your looking for something last minute before the holidays, be prepared for the«Are you kidding me» look.

Roast Beef or Roast Pork Special. 3 lbs of their own store roasted beef or pork, 20 Amoroso Club Rolls and 40 ounces of gravy all for $ 29.99. Usually get this for my Fantasy Football Draft Party and the Super Bowl Party! Great items for a great price. They also have 5 lbs of Meatballs and the 20 club rolls along with 1 gallon of Sauce or Gravy whatever you like to call it for the same price. Great deals on Meats, poultry and seafood, make sure to check them out!

Previous review is correct. The guys here don’t talk much behind the counter. If you didn’t know any better, you might even call them a little grumpy. But that’s Delco and that’s part of the beauty. Bottom line is that the guys who work there have never steered me wrong. If I had a question, they answered it. And really, what it comes down to is that the quality of their meats has never been in doubt in my mind. I tend to get fresh chicken parts and ribs here, and they come off my grill with perfect taste and juice every single time. In the end, that’s what keeps me coming back here.

The guys behind the counter are usually busy and don’t talk much. For someone trying to learn cuts of meat, I wish they were just a little more welcoming. I never felt rushed out the door, but it’s hard to make conversation and pick up some information at times. That said, These guys know what they’re doing. They absolutely know their meats. I’ve picked up a number of pork butts, racks of ribs, sausage, ground beef, and it’s always high quality stuff. Their frozen selection is always worth a look too. I’ve heard numerous times that you should get to know your butcher. This is the place I go for great meats.

This place has been around forever, and I think you can feel that as soon as you set foot in the place. My great aunt used to swear by it, and decades later they’re still living up to their reputation. I paid a little more than usual for a rib roast there, and then was pleasantly surprised to find how much more meat it had per bone. It probably worked out to be cheaper than the grocery store considering that. Their seasoned porkettas are also solid, with higher quality seasoning than the pre-seasoned meats you’ll get elsewhere.
