Finally made the drive down here! I took my bf as he has been before years ago and the place is very nice! Its outdoors with many types of fruits for sale as well as beautiful sunflowers, different flavors of honey to sample and purchase and a petting zoo in the back! Of course we purchased shakes, mine was pineapple and his was banana papaya and they were very yummy and fresh! I think this is such a great place to visit and a cute stop if you’re on your way to the keys! Staff is friendly and everything is well organized. Even saw Robert! Cant wait to return.

Okay you know it’s true love if you drive from The airport to homestead every sunday for a milkshake. There are no words for how amazing they are and the price is absolutely reasonable. The petting zoo is a plus and it’s so funny to watch the cute little animals they have. Everyone working there is so nice and plenty of parking! Love this place!

This is a mega «fruit» stand that carries a ton of fruits and veggies. You can also get super yummy milkshakes and smoothies. There’s an area in the back with animals (geese, goats, ostrich, turtle, roosters and cows). They even have a small splash pad area for the little ones.
It’s a bit far for me so I’ve only come twice but will definitely return in the future.

What an eclectic place! It’s a fruit market and Robert himself cut open our coconut so my kids could drink out of a coconut like they’d been wanting to and also cut up the mango we bought. They make killer key lime milkshakes. Ask them to split one into two cups to share. It’s also a petting farm, has live entertainment, and has a splash pad for little kids. We even saw a sign for kayaking. Never would have stopped if we didn’t see all the cars parked. So glad we did!

An absolute MUST for both locals and tourists! Fresh boiled peanuts, fresh whole coconuts opened right there and ready to drink. Local fruits, veggies and exotic fruits. Fresh honey! Sauces, jellies, apple butters and much more. I sent my family in NY a bunch of these items for Christmas, which they loved. Robert’s also serve milkshakes (rumor has it they are the best, but I am not a milkshake fan in general so I did not try them). Live music on the weekends. Weekends are very busy which is the only downfall, as it can get a little packed to walk around while shopping. Every time I have gone there, Robert is always working. The team is attentive and seems to always be working hard. The small petting zoo in the back is a nice, fun little addition. You can make this a short stop during your busy day or a several hour family outing!

Best strawberry milkshake I’ve ever had! I highly recommend bringing your kids here because there is a splash pad and petting zoo. The zoo has all types of animals, such as goats, donkeys, roosters, and even ostriches!
Very family friendly and there is also a large selection of delicious fresh fruits.

Robert is here has been a staple of the Redlands area for almost 60 years. That being said it is a huge tourist destination and not one that you would really go to for fresh fruits and vegetables.
Parking can be tricky as this place gets busy! Most people park along 192 avenue or w palm dr.
Yes they have fabulous shakes (made with ice cream) and smoothies (made with ice) for $ 6.50. They also have an amazing assortment of local honey with a tasting station. There is also a large assortment of jams, relish, pickles and salsas (no sampling there)
If you if are coming looking for fruit you have come to a great place for pictures and browsing but not for purchasing. The fruit is ridiculously over priced. More expensive than a whole foods or trader joes. Yes they have a wider selection of fruit than those chains, however all these «exotics» are local to the Redlands area and can be purchased much cheaper at any of the charming small stands all along chrome ave.
Staff has declined over the years on this recent trip the only employee interaction we had was ordering the smoothies… none of the other employees approached us while we browsed. Even when we checked out with our salsas we only got the order total, no hi or hello. This is the main reason for the 3 stars. If service was decent I would have at least have 4 stores for the novelty of it for out of towners, but really you can find a lot better (and friendlier) places to see the fruits of the Redlands.

Second time here, a little disappointed. Regardless, I never base the value of a place on just one visit. So I’d say the average quality of this place is a 4.
The milkshakes are delicious, but I’m not a fan of the smoothie base. Also, $ 7 for a shake seems a little bit overpriced. The rest of the place is full of organic fruits and vegetables that are priced as such.
Don’t have your smoothie outside bc the smell from the petting zoo will destroy you. The first time I went, I had a strawberry shake with ice cream as the base instead of ice and it was pretty delicious. This time the passion fruit and coconut shake I got was too sour and had little to no sweetness. I was near the area and decided to stop by, but I was slightly disappointed. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit Robert Is Here again but I would give it another chance and perhaps make better choices next time.

I’ve resided in Miami since 1960 and today was my first visit to this place. Traffic, as usual in Miami, was a nightmare while driving there most of all as we neared the end of the Turnpike. Stay on the right lane as you must make a right at the traffic light on SW 344 St.
There’s plenty of parking in their lot and off the street, it’s at a busy intersection with a 4-​way stop sign. We entered through the section where they keep their animals, it’s OK, a little smelly as expected, it’s always pleasant to look at animals, but there was nothing else going on in that area. We were also greeted by 4 port-​a-​potties; apparently, there are no restrooms for their customers.
Inside the store the heat was stifling, only fans were available to move the hot air around. Yes, there’s a wide selection of honeys but many of them said on the labels «packed for Robert Is Here» with no other explanation as to where the honey was harvested, for all I know the honey could have come from Mexico and I refuse to buy products from Mexico. None of the produce mentioned their origins nor did they have country stickers as is commonly done at major grocery chains.
I found the prices of several different produce to be very reasonable just as I found the prices of lots of different produce to be astronomically high. I purchased a basket of tomatoes (country unknown but the cashier replied, when asked, that they’re from Florida) for $ 5.95 and 1 head of garlic. He believed the garlic came from California and wanted to charge me $ 1 for the head which I refused. The mangoes were from Mexico (at least they had labels!) and priced 3 times what the same mangoes were priced yesterday at my local Publix.
My husband wanted a guarapo (sugar cane juice), they asked almost $ 6 for this which sells at most Cuban businesses from $ 2 for regular size and perhaps $ 4 for the large size. We ordered a mamey milk shake instead which came to $ 7.47 with tax. It was very good but the price charged for the shake was exorbitant.
I saw dozens of young employees at Robert Is Here. Perhaps he should cut down on the number of employees and invest the savings in a good central a/​c and in indoor restrooms to take proper care of his customers. It astonishes me that this man has been in business at this location for decades, his whole family benefits from the income this business produces but he has not been able or willing to spend a few thousand dollars to make these two MAJOR improvements to his business. A good, intelligent business owner continues to invest in his business.
I will not return again, I’d rather shop closer to home, under a/​c and in a business that cares enough about its customers to provide suitable restrooms. I’ll let the tourists ‘marvel’ at the display of produce and other items and spend their tourist dollars with abandon. Me, I work too hard for my money and refuse to waste it.

This place is so awesome! My boyfriend and I usually go to Key West 2 – 3 times a year and we always make a little detour on our way down and on our way up. My boyfriends aunt and uncle told us about it so we decided to give it a try. It’s like a mile or two west of that Starbucks once you get off that little Miami turnpike.
There are animals, music on weekends, and TONS of people here. It gets a little overwhelming because it’s so crowded, but it’s awesome. There are tons of little items you can’t find at any other grocery store and a lot of exotic fruits that I have never seen before.
We usually pick up some orange juice here and pickled veggies and of course we always get a smoothies. There is this one smoothie made from a fruit called mammay, and its really delicious. The line is usually super long when it comes to getting a smoothie or shake, but it actually moves very fast so don’t be intimidated.
The owner Robert, is right there, running the cash register, and always has a smile on his face and very friendly. This is a great place to check out and worth making a little detour for.

Delicious milkshakes. Endless variety. Fresh fruit and veggies farmers market type of place. Home made jams and dressings offered here. Local honey and gator jerky also for sale. Fresh coconut water and exotic fruits are another plus. Definitely worth the trip. Staff is friendly and quick to help.
When in Homestead, do not miss the chance to check them out!

Amazing and fresh environment! All the employees are very attentive and help everything run smoothly. On the weekends it gets very packed so when I went there was a line of about 30 people to order their famous milkshakes and a school field trip had just arrived so you can just imagine how packed the small place was (on the inside). The line moved really fast, and in about 5 minutes we were already ordering. We got the key lime pie milkshake and the papaya milkshake. You can ask to get them separated into two cups because they are really large– and sweet. But they taste amazing. The key lime milkshake is like drinking an actual pie. Totally recommended!!!
After we walked around and saw everything from fruits and vegetables to hot sauce heaven. They have so many flavors of hot sauces all locally made. I got the mango hot sauce which is my ultimate favorite. They also have key lime hot sauce which I will get next time. They have a couple of sampling around the market. When I went they had guac, salsa, and chips and also a place where you could sample a lot of different honeys.
The outside is incredible. Perfect for kids, or for a cute picnic. They have a bunch of old machines and tables and animals. Everyone in my group had a fun time exploring and then we just sat in their picnic table to look for somewhere nearby to go have lunch. It’s really worth the drive! Love it here!

This is one of the oldest businesses in Homestead. They have fresh fruit fresh made shakes live music and a huge area for the kids to play around and feed the animals.
Mountain goats, roosters & chickens, turtles, geese, cows, donkeys, pigs and a huge coy pond!

It has its charm, even in the pouring rain.
The have a milkshake and smoothie area with LOTS of different fruit options. I wanted to try some of the more interesting fruit options, but ultimately went with the key lime since where else would you be able to get a more legit key lime milkshake. There was one size and it was pretty large, even between two people, we couldn’t finish the entire thing. It was pretty darn enjoyable, good tanginess. It was maybe a tad on the sweet side, but luckily there are lots of salty snacks available at this stop to offset any of the sweetness. With a bag of salty snacks and the key lime milkshake, it was a great combo.

When we first heard about this place, I could not help but be skeptical. Who is Robert and why is he here?
A trusted local said we had to check it out and I am glad we did. Over our 6 day stay in Homestead we visited Robert Is Here 5 times.
The best part is the shakes: Guava, Passion Fruit, Coconut combo’s, the Cherry, Strawberry, Black Sapote combo’s, the Key Lime Shake, the Tamarind Shake… they were all very natural and special to FL. They are ~$ 7 a pop but they can satisfy 2 or even 3 people.
We also loved the boiled peanuts from the Crock Pot.
During the Everglades trip we snacked on the dried fruit, vegetables, and nuts from Robert Is Here. Upon further inspection we realized the labels note that the dried fruits are from Thailand. This was particularly annoying because Robert Is Here brands itself as a local fresh market. Nonetheless, the groceries and snacks were all good.
Definitely stop by because you don’t want to miss it on your way to the Alligator Farm.

Fresh fruit milkshakes are an absolute must if you stop here! I tried the guava, coconut, pineapple milkshake and it was amazing! My daughter had the strawberry milkshake which wasn’t too sweet, but it had more intense strawberry flavor because of the fresh strawberries they used. As you walk through the market you can sample a variety of their honey offering before you buy. My favorites with the ginger and cinnamon flavors. They have an impressive selection of fresh fruits, sauces, jams, jellies, and even boiled peanuts (regular salty or spicy). Out back they have a variety of farm animals you can see… Goats, chickens, geese, ducks, roosters, ostrich, turtles, cows… I know I must be missing a few. There were a lot.

After visiting coral castle, I decided I might as well pass by one of my favorite spots, Robert Is Here (only about 15 mins apart). This place exudes «Florida» and I always take friends here when they visit. Basically, this is a fruit market that also makes THE BEST smoothies/​milkshakes/​juices EVER! Seriously, they’re so fresh and so delicious. The drinks are one size (enough to share) and most are only $ 6.50 plus tax, that’s a great price for what you’re getting. After placing your order, you can walk around and pick up some fresh produce like jackfruit, coconuts, etc. And a wide array of local BBQ sauces, honeys, and marinades… Hint, you can try the honey, they’re yummy.
This time around, I tried the Strawberry Key Lime shake and I added coconut for no extra charge— my fave flavor so far!

Robert Is Here is one of the many South Florida staples that took me forever to finally visit. Without a doubt, this place deserves every bit of praise that surrounds it.
We decided to stop here while we were wandering around Homestead, if only to try their famous milkshakes. We weren’t sure where else the day would take us so we agreed to share one. We got the Strawberry Key Lime — a flavor I would never have ordered if I was the one picking. Nonetheless, it was AMAZING. Definitely the best milkshake I’ve ever had! I really regret not getting one for my self.
On top of the milkshakes, the store itself (as well as the property) had a ton of interesting things. We bought some bananas, avocados, and chutney. My favorite part of the entire place was the honey tasting station. Definitely going to get a massive jar of honey next time I’m here!
Out back, they have birds, goats, and other animals. I can see why this place is such an attraction — you could easily make a day of it. I don’t have many kids in my life but I’d definitely bring them here if I did.
Robert Is Here is really fun and different from so many of the places I’m used to, I’ll certainly be back soon to do even more exploring!

Everyone seems to know about «Robert» even though it is quite off the path. I was told to stop by to get a milkshake while on route to the Keys — so as an obedient person as I am, of course I followed the order.
Who needs a 16 oz of milkshake (in a 20 oz cup)? Technically no one. For almost $ 6 (with tax), it will be great if you can find someone to share with. The difficulty is finding common ground on flavors so that 2 people can split this giant of a milkshake. They allow up to 3 flavors in one shake — and they are known for their key lime flavor. So what would a greedy person who is on a tropic vacation mood want besides the key lime — coconut & mango! Yes, I had a key lime, coconut, mango shake and it was a vacation in a styrofoam cup! However, between key lime and coconut, the mango got lost. Poor mild flavor of mango just simply couldn’t compete with the other 2. And there are real bites of coconut and lime pulp. They aren’t kidding around with the real fruits.
NOTE: they only have fruit flavors, so don’t think about getting chocolate shake (or plain vanilla… none of those are listed on the menu).
There are tons of other tropical fruits to buy as well (after all this is a fruit stand — a big one at that). Browse around and be adventurous!

Pretty cool little shop to stop at. Different types of produce (fruits, vegetables, honey, etc.) and a cute little farm in the back with donkeys, chicken, goats, fishes, turtles, etc. You can even get a $ 3 bag of feed to feed them!

during the jackfruit season I had their shake and I literally cannot wait until the shake comes around again, next fall.

This place is awesome! Not being a great fan of fruit, Robert changed my mind on that opinion. Got mangos (they’ll cut it there for you!) and a strawberry milkshake. Ridiculously sweet (in a good way!), I could eat this stuff forever. Seems like their produce is the best of the best.
Prices are a little steep…$ 5.50 for a milkshake plus tax and about 2.50 for one mango. That’s my only gripe. I feel with the business they do, they can definitely afford to keep prices lower, especially for fresh fruit.

My favorite spot to visit on the way to the keys. I always get a strawberry shake and drink it out by the animals. This fruit stand is amazing! Fruits and veggies are fresh, it is very clean, and it’s an overall fun spot to spend some time. Pick up some locally grown produce on your way out. Yum!

Chances are that you’ll drive by this farm-​stand shop on your way either to the Everglades or before you make your way down to Key West. The variety and selection is great but everything gets pretty expensive really fast.
Robert is Here is a unique store and there are some things that they’re doing right. There is an awesome smoothie and milkshake stand right inside this place that can make you anywhere from 15 – 20 different kinds of fruit based shakes. My favorite is the Key Lime shake and it tastes just like a Key Lime Pie in a liquid form. Beware though that they only have 1 size for the shakes and it’ll set you back around $ 6. One shake is more that enough for 2 people to share though.
They also carry all kinds of unique and not so unique fruit and vegetables. Everything looks fresh and ripe. You can try mangoes, tomatoes, oranges, and this crazy looking fruit called rambutan. Rambutan from outside looks very non-​edible with its spiky shell but inside it is soft and juicy and tastes just like lychee. One of these little things cost 60 cents. One another thing to try is spicy boiled peanuts. These things are messy but very addicting to eat but beware that they have quite a kick to them.
Overall, Robert is Here is a neat place with all the selection of fruit, vegetables, shakes, and honey products. Heck… they even have a farm in the backyard. However, because they really don’t have any nearby competition, the prices are very high.

High quality fruits and vegetables! Of course, the smoothies and milkshakes are not to be missed. We got the guanabana (soursop) and sarpadillo, pineapple, coconut milkshake. Guanabana was amazing if you like the actual fruit itself — there were tons of fruit bits in the milkshake (love!). Was not a huge fan of the sarpadillo, pineapple, coconut concoction — too thick and too much shredded coconut for me but I can see how someone else might enjoy this.
Only drawback was that the cashier at the drinks stand was not friendly or helpful at all. Refused to answer questions about the types of fruits but it was New Year’s Day — can understand not wanting to work!

We love coming to this place. They have amazing natural fruit shakes that are well worth the long lines some times. Every time I go I end up having the Coconut and Pineapple one and I really enjoy it. I have tried many others but this is my favorite one. I also always grab one of the banana breads they sell those things are addicting. Lastly the little packs of coconut patties are bomb! Today I tried the mango coconut patties for the first time and famazing! The place always has more than enjoy people helping and charging so everything moves quickly. They have a good system in place. I recently noticed they also started accepting credit cards right at the shake stand so that is a plus.

This is one of my fav spots to come to when I’m on this end. The milkshakes are ridiculously delicious and the produce and fruits are great. Nice customer service and the farm in the back my little one is in love with it. This is truly the «old» Homestead/​FL City!

An easy off the main highway about a mile or so. Lots of easy parking. Wandered around finding fruits I haven’t seen in person before. And some variations that were superior. The Kent mango was incredibly sweet, juicy and large. Only $ 2.50 each and they cut them for you. Great snack for the rest of the trip. Besides aisles of fresh fruits and veggies, there was a large area of jams, sauces and honeys. As you walk in I saw were the whip up fruit shakes– I hear they are incredible, but was too full to give one a try– next time.

So we stopped here because the signage drew our attention & there was mention of key lime shakes. The fruit, jellies and honey were all pretty expensive. Even baked goods were outrageously priced. What was surprising were the number of exotic fruits from Asia and funny to see Minnesota birch wood highlighted so much.
The shakes were so so. Have had much better fruit shakes. This was a letdown. Portion sizes way too big for one person to finish. This place should offer a kiddie cup so it doesn’t go to waste. 4 people could finish one cup. That’s how large I felt it was.

As I was flipping through the Homestead visitor’s guide, Robert Is Here and Knaus Berry Farm were listed as recommended places to visit. Seeing all these great reviews on Unilocal,I’ve decided to give this place a visit.
Robert Is Here (started in 1959) mainly sells various exotic fruits such as anon (sugar apple), Asian guava, atemoya, avocado, caimito (star apple), canistel (egg fruit), carambola (star fruit), ciruela, dragon fruit (pitaya), guanabana (sour sop), jackfruit, kumquat, keylime, longan, lychee, mamey sapote, mango, miracle fruit, monstera, papaya, passion fruit, sapodilla (chico sapote), black sapote, sugar cane, tamarind, and coconut. Some fruits are available year-​round and some fruits are seasonal, so check their website for more details.
In additional, Robert Is Here also offers tropical milkshakes, hot sauces, salsas, relishes, mustards, pickles, jams, honey, marinades, etc. and you can buy each item on their website. There’s a honey sampling station, but I do wish there’s a hot sauce sampling station.
Without a sampling station, I trusted my instincts and brought two bottles of hot sauces (Good and Evil Sauce & Vidalia Onion Picante Hot Sauce — $ 5 each). I just opened those bottles few days ago and honestly both tasted OK. By the way, those hot sauce bottles are too big for carry-​on baggage, so you will need to check-​in your baggage with your airline (and pay extra baggage fee).

Strawberry Milkshake ($ 5.50): One of the two best strawberry milkshakes I’ve had (the other one was strawberry milkshake from Knaus Berry Farm). The drink wasn’t too sweet and not liquidity at all. Strawberry flavor wasn’t as strong as the one from Knaus Berry Farm, but both milkshakes were simply out of this world.

It was all I could do to wait until actually going here to leave a review. The last two attempts, they were closed. (I believe Robert is closed during, roughly, the month of November. I’d check before making the trip.)
As expected, this place was fantastic. For the tropical fruit enthusiast or anyone interested in something a little different, this is a must-​visit tourist spot. I would definitely call it an attraction.
Most famous are the milkshakes, in many flavors as you can see in the photos. However! Like all fruit stands, Robert has a SECRET. I refer to it as their Secret Menu, though it may be more like a what’s-in-season menu. Exotics like jackfruit, canistel, and maybe black sapote were available when I visited in December. Jackfruit, by the way, is probably the world’s most delicious fruit. I mean, that’s just, like, my opinion, man, but if you’re lucky enough to come here when they have that milkshake, consider it. Other off the menu fruits that they may or may not have in stock are sapodilla, persimmon, dragonfruit, guava, other sapotes… I’m sure there are more. I was hoping for a Gros Michel banana, which are very rare now, but they had none. I’d like to know if anyone does, but that usually ends in a rabbit hole of strains and types and a realization that someone could probably hand me any old banana and say it’s a Gros Michel, and I’d believe them.
Besides fruit, there’s a selection of assorted kitsch, much of which makes for good souvenir material. Robert is also located near the Everglades access and the Everglades Hostel, for traveling folk. It’s also just a short (1 – 2 mile) detour if you’re driving to the Keys.

Some of the best produce I’ve seen in the homestead area. Staff is great and very knowledgable. The shakes are the so so good. My favorite is the pineapple. The line can get a little long but it is well worth it.
They have exotic options and fruit I had never even heard of before. I love that they have added a children’s section with the birds and farm animals.
There is a ton of hype surrounding this place and it is well deserved!

Lately I have been hearing a lot about this fruit and vegetable stand so I decided to come and check it out for my self as to why the hype.
Drove about 30 minutes from my home. I enjoyed the drive as it was a gloomy day and not hit at all.
I knew the first thing I wanted to do was try their milkshakes so we got in the line, I had to ask if they accepted credit cards as not all places do (Knaus being one of them) I was glad to see that they do accept credit cards. Not knowing what type of Shake to get I went for the Guanabana milkshake, I have to say that for $ 5.50 the cup was huge filled to the top and more, on the downside, it had a lot of pieces of seeds or something so every zip I took I had to spit out the shell or what ever it was (sorry for being descriptive). After getting our shakes we walked around as they have everything, freshly made guacamole, salsa, HOY boiled peanuts, Different flavor honey, jellies, hot sauces, fruits, vegetables, sugar cane, it was awesome.
If you walk toward the back you will find a mini zoo with ducks, chickens, goats, imus. They have plenty of picnic tables for you to sit.
Overall, it was a good visit. Nothing that will take more than an hour for sure.

Its no secret that Visitor Centers advertised «Robert Is Here». OMG fresh juices/​smoothies where you can make your own combinations. There is a long list of selections to choose from, but I made my own and got the Dragonfruit and Strawberry smoothie with no sugar added (you can add sugar if you wish). The fruits were already sweet so I opted out for sugar. I believe the smoothie was around $ 5, which is fairly priced considering the seasonal fruits and freshness. Come no further and make the trip down here if you’re nearby. You won’t be disappointed.
Buy some fruits back home as well! A refreshing thirst quencher spot on a hot and humid Miami day!

I really love Farmer’s Markets. For freshness and price they are always the best and Robert Is Here is no exception to that rule. Plus, here, they have such a wide and divergent range from which to choose. I purchased some special mangos, darn if I can remember the name, but they turned out to be the sweetest most mango flavored of mangos I’ve ever had. Also, there are so many items of fresh produce not found your local Publix or Winn Dixie like Ciruelas «Jacotes,“so many variations of honey, jams, relishes and pickled products I couldn’t even begin to count them all. Plus, the have a fresh juice area. I had some of their mango juice, which was all fresh juice, slightly frozen into a refreshing slush.
