I absolutely loved this place. Food was great and reasonably priced. Portion sizes are perfect. Staff was nice.
I was shocked that this place has no ac but didn’t really miss it as the seating area is outside with fans. It made me feel like I was in the Caribbean.
We found this place in Unilocal and we were so glad we did. We went twice during our short vacation. If I am ever back in the area, totally coming back

Cafeteria style place that seems to do
a large takeout business.
Have outside, under cover seating.
Been there a couple of times for lunch.
Everything I get is always very tasty and fresh.
Today got food to go.
A large Cuban sandwich, very good.
Roast pork sold by the pound, excellent.
A giant pork chop with yuca and beans and rice.
Pork had a smoky taste, excellent.
Also got a loaf of Cuban bread.
All for a little over $ 20.
I will be back.

As good as any Cuban food you can find anywhere in Miami. It’s «Cuban mother» approved. This place is open air with roll up garage doors and ceiling fans overhead, most people get it to go but you could certainly eat there. There aren’t any menu’s you walk up and order as you would a buffet. There are about 5 different pork dishes! On the weekends there are more varieties of food. They have delicious juice that they make fresh to order, flavors like mango, guanabana, papaya. The portions are very large, 5 people ate very well for $ 28. I love this place.

Had the sheep leg and rice and it was really good. We’ve never had it before so it was the first time for us to eat that. The fried plantains were also delicious. The price was very reasonable. The meal we ordered was good for 2 people.

We checked into our hotel and Unilocaled for dinner. Couldn’t find any seafood so tried Cuban instead. We got the paella and salmon with rice and beans. Whoa! The portions were huge, and more importantly, they were tasty! The paella was totally choked with bits and pieces of fresh shrimp and squid. I didn’t expect much as it was bulk cooked deli style, but it blew my expectations away. I could taste the freshness of the seafood in the rice. The white rice that came with the salmon was cooked in some seafood broth, it was so flavorful that i could eat the rice plain.

I wish I could eat at this place on a regular basis, but it’s just too far from home (PA). My only problem was finding someone to translate (some of the employees don’t speak English very well, but they tried to be helpful). The chicharrones were just soooooooo good. We had them, beans and rice, tamales and fried plantain strips for lunch (if I lived close, my choices would move to a little healthier). We enjoyed it so much, stopped after our trip through the glades for dinner. Cubana sandwich, pork sandwich and a Mamey shake (still don’t know what mamey is, but it was good). Picked up an assortment of desserts to take back to our hotel to have with champagne.
It’s not fancy — tables outside — but better than most white tablecloth restaurants.

Great place. I’m impressed by the quantity, quality and variety of the food here. Lunch special 3.99 ?? You can’t even get a beer for that price in other places.
I had Lechon Asado with Congri and yuca. All was awesome!
Very clean and service is really good.

Horrible place. I will never buy anything here again. Typical Cuban hangout (I bought a platter for a client of mine) however when I went to pick it up they gave me the wrong order and charged me twice. When I waited for my order they started to sing happy bday to one of the employees (I’m all for celebrating) but please be more cautious about ensuring your customers get service. Before starting a bday singing routine,. Anyway I left took my client their lunch. 2 hours later I get a call asking me why I have not picked up my order (they actually expected me to go back to my client to pick it up) seriously. I won’t b back here.

This place is great for a quick bite to eat. The prices are great and the staff is really awesome. Definitely a place to stop at if you would like some simple Cuban food. They even have some outdoor seating with fans. Give them a chance.
