Professional birth doula services to support all types of birth (natural, epidural, cesarean, VBAC, home birth, hospital birth, etc) including prenatal education, comfort measures, encouraging the supportive roles of the mother’s partner, providing resources and local referrals, continuous labor support, and help with breastfeeding.

Postpartum doula services to provide care in the home after baby arrives, also known as «the fourth trimester», including discussing and implementing the family’s plan for infant care/​sleeping/​feeding, assisting the mother’s recovery, preparing meals, and light housekeeping.

Also offering the traditional method of placenta encapsulation to assist mothers in restoring balance after birth.

Business Owner

Nina Stickney is a DONA certified birth doula who has been providing professional, compassionate care to expectant families in the Chicagoland area since 2010. She felt called to pursue a career in doula work after the birth of her first child, and recognized how profound the need is for new mothers especially to have a trusted network of support during the transition to motherhood. She specializes in providing personalized care, focusing on the specific, practical areas of support that individual families may desire. She is thrilled to offer a caring, skilled extra set of hands (and ears!) to listen to the needs of mothers and help them have a positive experience in having a new baby.
