History

Established in 2014.

Sprout & Pour is a family owned and operated juice business based in the heart of Birmingham, AL. We have been sowing seeds among Alabama’s local farms to source fresh, local and seasonal produce into fresh cold-​pressed juices. We are Birmingham’s first cold-​pressed juicery. I started juicing the winter of 2013 after weeks of unexplained sickness and have been amazed by the benefits ever since. The support of my family and friends while venturing into the juice business has been fundamental in our success. What began as a small farm stand run by my husband and I at Pepper Place Farmer’s Market, has blossomed into a juice and smoothie bar. We strive to create delicious and inviting cold-​press juices and whole-​food smoothies. Birmingham is the perfect home for Sprout & Pour. We take pride in our community and recognize that Birmingham values businesses that fuel the city’s economy by using local resources. We also see opportunities to educate our community with strategic partnerships.

Amanda Blake T.

Business Owner

Amanda Blake Turner is an Alabama native, graduating with her MAEd from UAB, and subsequently taught art for 8 years (3 of those were in Birmingham’s inner-​city schools). She’s traveled to 4 continents, bringing art workshops and storytelling to some of the most remote and poorest people in the world. She has been an avid trail runner and health enthusiast over the years. Now her and husband are growing Sprout & Pour, Birmingham’s first coldpressed juicery, partnering with Pepper Place Farmer’s Market, Samford, UAB, and many others in the health and nutrition community. They have a 2yr old daughter, and have uniquely built Sprout & Pour as a family business. Her passion is in changing lives through education and wellness. She is tasked with menu development, branding, community outreach, and marketing to name a few of her roles at Sprout & Pour.
