My daughters like shopping here and usually find some nice tees. First timers may not see the store as its up a flight of stairs from the street lots of cute tees particularly for women and teens. Got stuff for men too. Very friendly staff.

Super legit. The place is chaos, but by the end of your shopping, you’re into it. My wife and I went in thinking we would just browse, and walked out with about 5 tees, a sweatshirt, two mix tapes, two bento containers, and a handful of stickers. Half of that was swag the staff unloaded on us during checkout.
They make their own tees, and it feels like they press about 5 at a time… there are so many to choose from. I found one I really liked, so I bought two of the same design, for when the first one wears out :)
Even the music in the store was really good, and while I was a bit shy about asking who it was, I was surprised to see a cd in the pile during checkout. At that point I was like «oh shit, is this what’s playing!?» But they told me last years mix was actually playing right now, so they ran and got me that too!
Super cool staff, and definitely worth checking out if you’re in waikiki!

I noticed the license plate staircase and I walked into 88tees! I immediately knew that this store was going to be lit! We walked into the store and looked around for roughly 15 minutes. Then we decided to take a picture… There was a very sweet lady who asked us if we needed help taking a picture! ! Since we are visitors, we had a 15 minute conversation about where we came from, what to eat around here, what to do around here, etc. The service here was extraordinary! They were so sweet! They guided us through all the different types of styles and colors of items! I think that the recommendations were very helpful! I would DEFINITELY recommend 88tees, whether you are a local or a visitor! Overall the service was excellent! The service exceeded my standard! I am definitely going to refer this store to my friends and family! –HOPE

There are a lot of choices and it can be difficult to find what you want but the service here is awesome! Just ask and the staff will help you without any hesitation!

Went here based on Unilocal reviews. A little hard to find. You go up some stairs off of Kalakaua Ave. The minute I walked in I was greeted right away by the nicest sales girls. I’m a big girl so the women’s sizes only go up to large. The sales girls suggested men’s large or XL. I found some cute men’s shirts for me as well as a hoodie. Went crazy in this place. I bought 5 t shirts, 3 baseball caps, a hoodie & a cute make up case. Hebe the Japanese sales girl was the sweetest & so incredibly helpful. Oh & when I made my purchase she gave me some freebie cute bags, stickers & a cd. I ended up wearing a t — shirt today & it was so soft like your wearing pajamas. Luv this place !

We still love this store. You can basically have a mini dance party while you’re shopping for tshirts and sweatshirts. Richard is still there and awesome as ever. This is definitely one of our favorite stores to stop by in Waikiki on every visit.
Shirt prices range from about $ 15-​$ 19 for Keiki (kids) and Adults (they do have some special ones that are slightly over $ 20, but the majority are around $ 19). I purchased a hooded zip sweatshirt and it was under $ 30. The quality of the tshirts seems really good and they last a long time with proper laundering.

I love this place!!! Came here 2 nights ago before going to dinner at Dukes, and was so happy I did! This place made me feel like I was 21 partying at bars again (32 and married is def not 21 lol). The loud music was awesome, I was dancing the whole time I was looking for some fun clothes. The staff are so nice and welcoming! Every single employee said hi to us, they asked if we needed help, and when I went to checkout i was surprised by extra gifts! I bought a sweatshirt and was given 10% off all future purchases, stickers, 2 iPhone cases, 2 key chains, and a huge reuse able shopping bag! We ended up using the bag the next day when we went to Hanauma Bay and it held up great! This place is amazing, go now!

I stumbled upon this place by noticing a staircase lined with christmas lights and old license plates. Upon reaching the top, I was greeted with re-​mixed music, tables of shirts and other wearables as well as a hodge podge of random old toys and oddities lining the tops of the shelves. As you can tell by the name, 88 Tees is best known for its vintage looking t-​shirts. It looks like a combination of antique/​thrift store, but with a hip, fun vibe. Despite the thrift store feel, the clothing for sale is not second hand and is all original in design. It definitely is a popular place for the Japanese. Mostly Japanese shoppers were browsing and purchasing from 88.
I ended up picking up a shirt and received some free gifts for shopping: a couple stickers, re-​mix CD of the music they were playing in store and a cute little re-​usable tote bag. They also have a discount card available by request. Very cool of them to throw in those little extras.
88 Tees is a fun, quirky little store that’s refreshing to see amidst the pretentiousness of Waikiki’s high end retailers.

Every time we visit our hometown and we walk the strip we end up here and the place is always spot on. Great atmosphere and great customer service. Richard has great customer service. We didn’t buy anything this time, but we define be back again. 5 star !!!

I found this place through Unilocal and wanted to check it out since I’m just visiting HI for a few days. This place is full of different graphic tee’s, great souvenir shirts that are actually wearable and not cheaply made or crappy-​looking designs. My friend and I came in and it was super quiet because they were filming but a lady was helping us find sizes and hats.
I honestly wanted to buy everything, they were so cute!
When I was checking out, the lady was super nice and gave us free stickers and CDs. She put everything I bought in a big reusable bag and made sure all the sensors were off.
Definitely check this place out if you’re trying to buy graphic shirts!

Came across this place on Unilocal when I was looking for unique things to do/​places to shop around our hotel in Waikiki. Knew I had to come here after seeing all the pictures and good reviews. I got a cute towel and a tank top. After I paid, the employee who cashed me out gave me some stickers, a CD and a 10% discount card on all future purchases. Thinking about coming back tomorrow and picking up a pair of sunglasses and a canvas bag I had my eye on, and maybe another t-​shirt.
I’d definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re looking to take home something other than an ABC souvenir from your trip to Honolulu.

T-​shirts, T-​shirts and more T-​shirts! Good find for unique shirts to wear or to give as gifts. The store has their 88 brand theme. They range from tank tops to sweater to jeans, for all ages. Prices range from $ 20 & up, starting with the tank tops.

An eccentric and hip casual wear store for guys and girls that also is a good alternative to the conventional souvenir tee.
The building is set off a busy street in Waikiki adjacent to big designer names. In order to get to the store, you have to take a single flight of stairs right as you are entering the main entrance. The entrance is pretty inconspicuous and nondescript compared to all these other large high end shops’ storefronts. I would not have noticed it if just window shopping and walking by, but I was actually actively looking for this place with use of Google maps.
The clothing here is kind of interesting and worth checking out. There are definitely a good number of odd or goofy designs, but there’s so many prints and types that you’d likely find something that you like. I personally don’t like buying tacky stereotypical souvenir tees since I wouldn’t likely wear it again. Here is a great alternative option to find something with Hawaii or Honolulu referenced on your clothing without being super touristy.
The staff is a younger crew, but they are pretty helpful. They helped dig through mounds of clothes since it can be pretty challenging to find your exact size or print since its a crazy disorganized.
Overall, I found it was a fun experience, and I left with a really cool tee.
