I was referred by a friend to consider A-​1 and I am very grateful for this locally owned and operated company. When you’re in a panic state of mind and need a bonding company to work fast and efficiently A-1’s services are second to none. The gentleman who helped me get out of a pickle was Nicholas. His genuine interest in the situation was very comforting in a time of stress and worry. Fast, efficient, and overall a company I highly recommend.

This is a family run business, so that helps with the trust factor. I was in a bind when my boyfriend was in a tight situation, as I had no knowledge of what to do or how to go about a solution. My friend recommended A-​1 and I reached out to them reluctantly, but was so happy I did! They were very helpful, knowledgeable, and timely! I don’t know what I would have done without them. 5 stars!!!

Nick, the owner, is beyond awesome! Very approachable guy and returns phone calls/​text in a very timely manner! For real. Not only does he have a very friendly demeanor but he is very (I mean very very) helpful and professional. He lives up to what he say and does not beat around the bush. He explains things concisely and clearly knows his stuff, that’s for sure. One thing that makes Nick stand out from all other (judgmental) bail bondsmen is his ability to empathize with the situation. That’s a plus for me! He evens gives courtesy text/​call to remind us of court dates and such, how wonderful is that, right?
The office is easily accessible and located right across the court! Makes it even more efficient for paperworks to be signed and such, thus a faster service.

When I contacted A-​1 it was a shot in the dark because I was already discouraged after having contacted another agency that took my in circles ;(. I needed someone who was really able to take care of business for me and not just talk the talk, especially because I am on the mainland reaching out for family back home.
My first interaction was an after hours call with Scott who was super helpful and patient. He was able to provide me with information on my family member super quick. Literally in less than3 minutes. ;) It was obvious that he knows his $****
My next interaction was with Nick. He took his time, walked me through the process and did his due diligence which means a lot to me. I felt confident they were not the type of establishment that’s just looking for money up front and could pull the bond at anytime.
Through the whole process, Nick kept me updated from the filing of the paperwork, to emails being sent, my family member being released, and even text follow-​up the next day. I really appreciate communication and the willingness for anyone to go over and beyond.
I’m not planning on using A-​1 in the future lol ;), but I would definitely refer them to anyone who needs to be bonded in Hawaii. Thanks A-​1.

When it comes to a business you can trust to be there for you when you need them no one beats A-​1 Bonding. I had a ticket that I didn’t know about which resulted in a bench warrant. I was pulled over after a very long day right as I was about to park and get dinner. While the officers were arresting me my friend said «Don’t worry I know a great Bail Bondsman!». My friend contacted Nicholas Linblad at A-​1 Bonding and I was free about 2 hours later! I later spoke to Mr. Linblad and found out that he was seriously ill that evening, but he still came to my rescue! What a guy! I can’t thank them enough for making sure I never spent a full night in Jail. Also after they were very helpful in reminding me about my court date and ensuring everything was taken care of so this didn’t happen again.

I first received contact from A1 Bailbonds notifying me of a warrant for my arrest. The warrant was issued not even 24 hours after I had visited the police station to get an update on an event that had occurred several months earlier that I had heard nothing about! It seems that my visit to the police station must have triggered magical squirrels within the cogs of the State that finally went to work on my paperwork.
If it weren’t for A1 Bailbonds sending out that courtesy notice, I wouldn’t have known about my pending arrest. I would have been sitting at my new job on a Monday morning and the sheriff would have basically pulled me out of work if I hadn’t received that notification. Potential embarassment much? You bet! It seems the State of Hawaii doesn’t concern itself with notifying individuals of impending legal troubles, and its true, the wheels of justice grind slowly.
Before responding to A1 Bailbonds, I did visit
and click around feverishly looking for legal representation, to which I stumbled across Marcus Landsberg (separate review to follow) who had a very high Unilocal rating. My experience with Marcus also generates the same favorable response.
Marcus took my call immediately on that Friday afternoon and asked me if I had a bailbondsman. I said «not yet.» He recommended A1 and called ahead of me arranging a seamless transaction where I would meet with the manager Nick first thing the following Monday morning and I would be escorted to the Sheriff’s office to be processed.
I know for a fact, if I did not receive the calm assistance of A1 Bailbonds, and actually had any money to bail myself out of jail; I would have been struggling with the entire process of it all. It appears fairly involved for the lay person. I found A1’s fee to be extremely reasonable and the process pain-​free because of the professional assistance I was offered.
Having an excellent bailbonds service and defense attorney should be the top priority of any individual who finds themselves in the unusual and stressful position of protecting one’s own freedom.
Would I recommend Nick and the team to anyone else in the uncomfortable position of needing to post bail? Absolutely! Go for value and sincere service. Avoid the competition — they are dogs ;) (Okay, really bad play on words — but you catch my drift!)
