Acupoint Community Wellness is a community acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and wellness clinic whose goal is to make acupuncture in Honolulu more affordable and accessible. We cater to all types of clientele by offering private acupuncture treatments for $ 95 initial/​$ 75 follow-​up and community acupuncture in a group setting for just $ 39 per treatment. These inexpensive treatments allow everyone to get treated as needed and to heal chronic issues & continue treatments on a regular basis for preventative care. At our clinic, individuals can receive the help that they need without dealing with insurance companies or taking on costly medical expenses. By promoting health with acupuncture and informing and teaching the community about how to be healthy, people become less dependent on their practitioners and doctors. History

Established in 2012.

Located in the heart of Kaimuki, Acupoint offers Chinese medicine and therapeutic massage in a convenient location. We can be found at the corner of Waialae and 9th avenues (northeast corner), upstairs from Champa Thai. There are parking spots available on next to and behind the building, and if all are full, free parking on 9th Ave and after-​hours parking at Hawaii National Bank.

I have owned and operated Acupoint since Nov. 2012 and practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) since 2008. Formerly an Army medic, I am passionate about the healing arts. During an intensive eleven semester program at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine learning TCM, Japanese acupuncture, and classical Five Element acupuncture, I trained with the most amazing instructors and practitioners I’ve had the good fortune to meet, earning myself a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. My years of clinical experience include the Owen HIV/​AIDS Clinic, the San Diego Cancer Center, and University of California San Diego’s RIMAC sports rehabilitation clinic, with additional training in two TCM hospitals in Beijing. I am now blessed to be at Acupoint, working with the fine people of Honolulu and its visitors. Mahalo!

I meant to write a review a while ago because I had such a good experience. I’ve been going to acupuncture since I was in high school but since I had moved away from Hawaii for 7 years, the lady that I used to go to had already retired. So when I hurt my back while lifting boxes I had to look for a new place, and I’m glad I found Accupoint!
My back was so bad that I couldn’t turn my head or make sharp movements without feeling a sharp pain. After the first visit with acupuncture and massage I felt 80% better and had a pretty good range of movement. So I scheduled a second appointment a week later where I had acupuncture and cupping done and I was at 100% and felt like new. Seriously amazing results.
He also made me feel very comfortable by answering all of my questions, telling me what muscles he was working on as well as how they were affecting the pain in my back. If you are considering trying acupuncture or going to a new place to get it done, I highly recommend Accupoint!!!

Patrick is truly knowledgeable and skilled in the practice of acupuncture. He also does a technique called cupping. My wife has gone to him multiple times and is very satisfied with his services. I would definitely recommend him to all!

Not that an additional 5 star review is needed, but Patrick is great. Every time I visit Hawaii I make it a point to visit Patrick. This trip I strained my upper back and neck at the gym. Went to Patrick and I feel almost 100%. I plan on one last massage acupuncture treatment before I go back home.

I am so happy that I found Acupoint Wellness Clinic & Patrick. I have lots of tension in my shoulders & back from studying & working as a nurse. This problem has been ongoing for years & I spent lots of money on various treatments/​massages to alleviate the pain. Patrick is the only person to break up all that tense/​fibrous muscle in my shoulders & back. It took 5 treatments. Yes, those were some stubborn muscles but it was worth every dollar. I haven’t felt this great in years. Thank you Patrick :-)
Patrick’s knowledge & experience in Chinese medicine is evident in his practice. He starts your session with an assessment & develops a treatment plan specific to your needs. Patrick is very professional & compassionate. Not like others I have been to who rush during the beginning just trying to obtain information as quickly as possible. Patrick is nice, has a great smile, & a calming energy. His clinic is clean & comfortable (nice/​soft music during the treatment). The acupuncture needles are sterile. I joined Unilocal not to post nit-​picky restaurant reviews, but to send positive vibes and endorsements to businesses and service providers that are doing great work around Honolulu. I had my first appointment with Patrick at Acupoint yesterday and was very, very satisfied. I am a true believer in the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of massage and acupuncture and try to get a massage at least once a month and acupuncture as needed. I called Patrick yesterday, as my usual masseur wasn’t available for a last-​minute appointment. Patrick was able to fit me in right at 6 PM and the Waialae location is super close to my office. There was ample parking, and the office space is clean and tranquil. Patrick is obviously very well trained and took care of the usual soreness in my neck and shoulders (from sitting at a desk 8 – 9 hours per day) and also my sore hamstrings (have been hitting the gym hard lately.) I felt extremely relaxed and much less tense afterward. His prices are more than reasonable and I will definitely be visiting Acupoint again. Aloha!

Best bang for your buck! The massage after the acupuncture was painfully good, I almost cried but stuck it up cause I know it would be good in the end. Left in the most relaxing state you could ever imagine, almost could not drive home! Definitely would be coming back next week!

I’ve been in oahu for 3 years and love getting massages and acupuncture treatments. I go to patrick everytime I get myself in trouble either, lift something in the wrong way or talk on the phone hanhing on thr shoulder… ofcourse tge usuall skack in exercise… like many others I don’t have the healthiest life style… Patrick has no judgment just solutions. You can tell he knows what he is doing and much more, it is in fact a wellness clinic, where the Doctor uses his hands and knowledge to treat physically and mentally. I always leave his practice extremely relaxed and knowing everything is going to be all right! Thanks again for all your help, I’m sure I’ll see you soon.

I was traveling alone with a child. Getting in and out of a car while carrying bags and a kid was wearing me out. I started having pain deep in my hip. I called Patrick and described the pain. He said it sounded like early sciatica (yikes). I made an appointment and he did anmassage/​acupuncture treatment. I felt very relaxed and tired at the end of the session. The massage felt great and I feel the combo of massage and acupuncture works well. I felt tired that night and the pain was gone within two days. I continued with four other treatments and was happy to find Patrick’s packages were so affordable. The pain is now gone. Thank you Patrick!

I use acupuncture primarily to alleviate migraines which Patrick was successful at reducing. I was also experiencing pain in my ankle from some nerve damage and he was able to treat that so that I could run without any pain.
After a ‘just okay’ experience with another acupuncturist in Honolulu, I decided to switch to someone new and have been incredibly happy with how well Patrick listens to me as a patient and cares about making my whole body healthy. His use of massage with acupuncture is a fantastic combination for muscular pain and stiffness. HIs massage can instantly relieve any stress from your muscles, while the needles provide ongoing and longer term treatment.
Making appointments is easy and he makes room for weekend patients.

from a «NON-​BELEIVER» I called with the intention of booking the Amy all these reviews rave about for massage. Somehow I ended up with Patrick who took this clinic over (Amy moved and started a sister clinic on the mainland). I was only there because I had a monster knot in my neck and couldn’t even turn my head 15 degrees in the right direction. It was severely painful and getting worse everyday that passed. Patrick suggested a massage/​acupuncture combo. I never tried acupuncture before but all I cared about was getting rid of the pain in my neck and returning it to full range of motion. Sure, bro, whatever will work, I’ll take it.
So I got a massage and accupuncture and after it was done I didn’t really feel much of a change… walking out I thought great I just blew some hard-​earned money on some hocus-​pocus needles and the pain was even a little more tender than before.
But I woke up the next morning and 90% of the pain was gone. Full range of motion restored. The day after that 100% cured, back to normal, and strong.
PATRICK has magic hands. 4 months later (after some head-​banging and mounting stress with work) the knot monster returned. I paid mr. Magic Hands Patrick a visit yesterday. He immediately identified the problem and massaged my head, neck, shoulders, then popped in some needles… woke up this morning… ahhhhhhhhh feel like a champ!
Im telling you, Patrick is the MAN!!! I don’t even know what acupuncture is or how it works. I just know it does and that’s the man to go see if you got problems.

After seeing all of the 5 star reviews here for Amy, I had to give it a try. Mind you, this was my first time getting acupuncture and cupping.
For about a week I had let so much tension accumulate in my upper back that it got to the point where I could barely move my neck around. I was waking up in the midst of my sleep every night due to the pain. I was unable to move, it was god awful. So I made an appointment for a deep tissue massage. The massage was temporary relief so I knew that I needed something more. That’s when I came across Acupoint.
Amy was very easy to talk with; she was understanding and the method of her practice was very intriguing.
I first got a massage and it felt incredible. She worked through many a knots and by the end of it, my back already felt so much better. Then we went to cupping. My whole back tingled and there was a slight stinginess but in a very good way. After a couple of minutes, I couldn’t have been more relaxed. Lastly, I got acupuncture and as soon as the first needle was inserted, I felt a rush of tingle that ran from my neck all the way down to my legs. It was a great experience. I laid there for about 20 minutes and was done.
I’ve NEVER felt better! Honestly. And I continue to feel better.
I can’t wait to go back to Acupoint.

I’m very picky about any massage therapist because I exercise 6 – 7 days a week and it’s not easy to find someone who really understands the therapeutic aspect of massage therapy.
However, after a 25 mile 6 Man canoe race this past weekend, my muscles were aching and my old shoulder injury was acting up, so I went in to see Amy for the first time, and I’m soooo glad I did.
As soon as she started the massage, she identified which side of my back I worked harder and the knots inside of it, offering excellent suggestion to even out my muscle usage. She was very strong and precise with her massage without making me too sore. She worked out every little knot and tight part of my back, neck and shoulders while be very aware of any spots that seemed to cause me discomfort.
After the massage, she targeted these areas of pain and soreness with Acupuncture and did an excellent job of placing the needles.
All I can say is WOW! I feel better than I have in years and ready to get back out there and paddle another race. I will go back and see Amy again!

Quick update:
Went back again for an old knee injury that started bugging me recently. Worked out hard and went hiking this weekend (got the treatment on Thursday, prior to a class I had to teach which involved a ton of kicking as well) and still don’t feel a darn thing.

Wow!!! Ive had problems with my lower back and getting a full nights rest. Acupoint was awesome. I got a combo treatment, a massage and then acupuncture…(this was my first time receiving acupuncture treatment) the massage was amazing (i’m a LMT)…worked my Trapezuis and Rhomboids (Shoulders and mid upper back) perfectly after the massage was done the acupuncture session started… i didnt realize the needles had been placed in my body… i got to relax for about 20 minutes (dozed off, hehehe)…and the session was over.
End result: i left feeling relaxed and rested… and for the first time in a very long time i slept the entire night, my back pain did not wake me. I’m definitely going back again and again and again.

Back aches, tough knots on your shoulders, migraines, head aches sound familiar to you? I know the feeling all to well.
After my masseuse recommended I try acupuncture, I looked around and a friend of mine recommended an acupuncturist she had previously gone to, the introductory fee was $ 20! Since I’ve never tried acupuncture before I figured I would try it out. Well for $ 20 i guess that was enough to cover one side of my body (which felt great), but I still had a headache and the right side of my body still felt tight. I told him about my headache and instead of taking care of it he scheduled me for another appointment that was schedule the following week!!!
For 4 days the left side of my body felt great, but the right side was tense and the headache was still lingering I finally decided to not wait till the weekend and searched Unilocal for an acupuncturist. I am so glad I did!!!
I decided to try Window to the Sky Acupuncture. I called Amy to schedule an appointment, fortunately for me, she was able to see me the next day. On my first visit she talked to me to get a sense of my diet, my daily activities and ailments. She then explained her process for treating me and asked me if I had any questions.
She used a combination of massage and acupuncture to ease the knots out of my shoulders, and after the first visit I actually felt great all over! My body felt more balanced and my headache went away! I was so glad that she actually listened to me and did not send me off lopsided like that other acupuncturist. I would recommend Amy Suplee any day… she is professional and does everything she can to help you on your first visit.
She currently work out of a home in Kaimuki and does house calls as well. She said she will be moving to Ward soon, which is great since its closer to town.
