History

Established in 1919.

The First Ayaka Bubble Café was opened in 1919 by John Bubblonic. He named the Café after his daughter who fancied the drink, but died of Polio in 1917. The original name was «Ayaka Bubblonic & Tonic». Which was more a pharmacy, known for its elixirs and spirits, than a café. In 1931 the pharmacy was a front for an underground speak easy that thrived throughout the prohibition era, but was shutdown by Hoovers G-Men.

In 1963, the café was renamed «The Ayaka Bubblonic Experience», which sold Drinks and Smoothies, along with your favorite hallucinogen. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a terrible business model. All of the customers would run out of the store hysterically without paying, or just sit there all day and rub against the walls.

John Bubblonic died in 1987, and the business passed to his son. He changed the name to «The Ayaka Bubble Café». In 2003, the name was again changed by dropping the word «The», because the «Napster» guy said so.
